Morning already.
Tea drank, chapter in my book read, SAD lamp used.
Emails read, notifications checked. Biggests friends have posted her Hen Do date, which I was free for, then changed it to a date which I am not free for. Guess I will miss it. I am not sure she would really want me along anyway but I think I will be better off not going anyway.
Now I have to get my body moving and get dgd up for school.
I didn't wash up last night either so I better start in the kitchen!
I still have to make room for the builders to get access to the windows for tomorrow. ( they rang around 6pm asking to come today! Erm no can do I can not take the day off work- that is why I agreed for Wednesday).
Have a good one! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Managed to finish some £207 worth of work today. Really had my head down.
I am a little miffed with Biggest today and having one of those why do I bother moments. She has chosen a date for her Hen Do that I already have plans for, and she through a wobbly at me for not being sure that I could go. She actually told me not to bother and hung up on me"
I thought a few choice words but didn't bite.
I am fed up after using my savings to pay her wedding dress last week I was thinking ungrateful etc etc.
I really don't like Hen Does!
I am not of that generation I would be the oldest woman there, and why would she want me there? I am flattered that she wants me there, but really I am sure if she thinks about it she might realise it is not me.
So I will let her cool down. I have calmed down and we will see what transpires.
I am not going to be made the devil incarnate again because of one of my children's demands etc.
I am cooking a spaghetti bog tonight and I am running late as I was clearing the sitting room ready for the windows, and then started the kitchen and got a bit Carried away.
We took £125 in the shop today so that's not too bad. Don't think I will make my target, but who knows. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
At least money is coming in Mooloo and post christmas it could be worse .
I think you're right re the hen party . This year is a new start for you and you are dealing with each situation as it crops up by thinking it through rather than just going along with things . You didn't change the original date so it is normal to not change your own arrangements to suit the new date . You are laying down subtle markers to indicate you too have a life to live and will not be distracted from your plans .

Well we are as ready as we are ever going to be for the windows coming tomorrow.
I did try to call Biggest but I got the answer machine.
I will see what happens tomorrow.

((Mooloo)) - sorry to read that there has been family angst again.
I am glad to see you are dealing with this calmly and not getting too down about it.
Hen Do's are funny old things, I have been to some fab ones and also been to some bad ones. I never had one as I got married in secret. My best friend had 2, her friends and sister went abroad for a 4 day holiday and then she did a theatre trip and hotel stay in London for her mum, aunts and older family (plus us lot who did the holiday). it worked really well as the holiday was a general booze up whereas the theatre show was much more sedate.
Families are hard work aren't they - heaven help me when my kids are older (well DS is 20 and fingers crossed seems to be doing ok at Uni)
Glad to see work is coming flowing in to the shop still - the classes sound like they will get booked up quickly.0 -
Thanks EE.
I am at home today as the windows and doors are going to be replaced. I am not quite sure what I will do with myself as I am not allowed to leave them on their own. Well they will have to have a tea break in their vans when I do the school run then!
I am not exactly going to be comfortable with the furniture all pulled back from the walls etc and the weather is not looking very good either. Winter Woolies on then.
I better wake dgd up and get us dressed before they come knocking.
I am going to be optimistic that they are going to be finished in one day, that they will not make too much mess, and all the windows will fit beautifully! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Today DS is 24
I have sent a message but not sure that I will get a response.
Biggest has acknowledged that she has missed a call from means will call later.

Hope today goes well . Just think of the lovely new windows .
Do you have ironing to do and somewhere to put the board up ? or maybe a little hand sewing or mending . I tend to do things like that if I'm stuck in with workmen .
