when i worked in a shop it was quite normal for the child to ask for the receipt, so i guess quite a few parents have got savvy to 50p or something going on something it wasn't supposed to0

The Christening went well, it was good to see my daughter mixing with Bfs children and the babies etc all playing at the BBQ afterwards. It was strange to be chatting to his ex wife's brother and sister though, and them asking me if it was ok to bring something from their Mum's to give to the kids. I had to say that I don't actually live with him, but I am sure that he would be fine about it. When he appeared he did at least talk to them. Which was a relief. My daughter has invited his daughter and the baby over to DGS4 Birthday party next week too. Which is great. I didn't have to feel which camp I had to be in for once! Long may it continue.
A good day in all.
I have taken some GP this evening to see if it helps with the sciatica pain as it helps with my left hand. I would love a decent night sleep. If I could sleep for more than 2 1/2 hours at a stint would be amazing.
Right, bedtime as a busy day tomorrow.
Oh, managed to Skype with Mum and my Brother. She's coming home earlier than planned originally. So I will need to collect her at the Airport when she does.
Looking forward to returning to Ladies that Lunch on a Wednesday! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I wasn't kept awake with any pain, but I still kept waking up, and had woken several times by 2.30am and several times afterwards too!
I woke at 6.15 and gave up trying to sleep. Made my lemon tea and have been wasting time on Facebook and reading emails. I have finished my tea and the alarm is due to go off in 8 minutes.
I don't want to go down stairs yet as when I open my bedroom door I wake Dgd. But I will have to move soon or I will get stiff again.
I have the wages to do on the computer this morning, as I forgot last night. Probably because they were paid on Friday before they went on holiday etc etc.
I am taking lunch today, as Dgd also needs packed lunch for the week.
Chicken and salad in a wrap then.
I put back all the weight I lost and some. Not good
Heavier than ever in my life, as far as I can make out, yesterday I was 10st 3lb! When I started to keep an eye on my weight 1st June, I was only 9st 8lb!
So I failed miserably.
Holiday didn't help as we ate late at night.
I have also had more bread than I had had for a while, along with alcohol.
Fatal mix.
I don't hold out much hope now as we have another break with Dgd to Spain next week.
I don't have the willpower!
My size 10/12 clothes will have to stay in the wardrobe and only my one size fits all type come on holiday then.
More salad then!
I also need to practice gently exercising to try to elevate my sciatica as exercise went out of the window this week.
Whether I manage it or not is another matter though.
I know what I should do, but I am not very good at putting it into practice!
I am my own worst enemy! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Trying to grab my chicken wrap and a cuppa. Excellent morning with collections, and new drop offs. Lots to keep me Busy.
Problem is a good one to have, that I am not getting time to sew!
Before and after opening hours then! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Feeling Nervous. I have the lease renewal form to finally sign. The rent is to stay the same for one year and then increase by £900 a year. Thereafter.
It is for 3 years again.
I know that I will sign it and keep it, as I have been looking at other premises costs, and they are all much higher.
Signing for another 3 years is not too far into the future but far enough to be nervous. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
MOoloo, negotiate, everything is negotiable. If you are staying tell them you can increase.0

How many empty properties are there in your town? Do you know what the rents are?
Any LL would rather have tenant than no tenant.0
