Thank you Cherryfudge, Dawnybabes, SH, SA, Humdinger and Lucielle.

Made it through the week but was so shattered by Friday’s shift at Job 2. It wasn’t as busy as it usually is so I asked to leave at by 11. I had no energy to do the last hour!

The weekend has been lovely so far. I’ve done some shopping for the wedding, bits and pieces for the day which helps out DD and Soon to be SoIL.

Yesterday afternoon was really relaxing…went to the beach with SO and our combined children. It was wonderful to sit and be and do very little other than climb the rocks with the younger ones or dish out the picnic food!! I just so appreciated being able to rest and relax for a while. The sea was a sparkling turquoise and the tide was low so lots of beach for everyone to enjoy 🙂.

Just started reading and can see how much you've gone through. Must be really hard years later having courts still needing to be involved.

You have a lovely wedding to look forward to though. X

Oh I do love to be beside the sea.... Really must arrange to visit it sometime soon.

Glad things are going well with SO and his kids and yours.

Thank you Willowtree22, SH and Cranky40.

Sunday turned out to be another wonderfully relaxing day, this time going for a picnic in a fairly local woods. There are some really lovely walks there and a shallow stream which was ideal for the younger ones to play in. We saw some beautiful electric blue coloured dragonflies, that darted over the water and rested on some of the leaves on the opposite bank. Mesmerising and beautiful to watch.

I managed to oversleep today…good job it was a bank holiday. I was horrified but I guess my body must have needed the extra rest. The day seems to have gone in just catching up on housework and garden jobs. I’ve planted out quite a few annuals so we should have quite a splash of colour in a few weeks.

I need to source a suit for DS2 as  I realised  today that he isn’t ready for the wedding yet.

Hi..could you hire a suit for DS2 or maybe Ebay? Too expensive to buy when he's so young.  Is he about 8?

Thank you Janb5 - DS2 is almost 18, but good idea to hire a suit. I doubt he is likely to need to wear a suit again until another wedding! I was a bit stunned that he wasn’t sorted out so must get it sorted tomorrow.
