Thank you Janb5, Spendless, Parkyp & joedenise.
We had a cosy Christmas despite the chaos of the week before. DD2, DS2 and his gf came in the afternoon. I hadn’t expected to see DS1. I was just thankful to have most of the children in one place at the same time...that made my Christmas. For many years I’ve said I would like a Boxing Day where I can walk or read and do little else. Looks like today is the year I get to do this 🙂.
Hope everyone else else has a relaxing Boxing Day 🙂.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Thank you SH. I have had a lovely relaxing day today. I have read lots, been for a walk and not cooked at all, as there is plenty of food in the fridge and freezer. It has been so relaxing! The effect of all this resting and relaxing has been the wherewithal to tackle a cupboard that has been partially filled with the ex’s business paperwork. I have put it all in a pile to take to his house and found that I now have a fair amount of space to put other things🙂.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

That sounds like it would be cathartic - clearing out Ex's things.

Sounds like a very relaxing day - and how like you still to have the energy to clear a cupboard! Reclaim the space metaphorically and literally.
Enjoy living off the fridge, too!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Oh glad to hear you’ve had a lovely relaxing day. When you drop the stuff at ex, be firm make sure he doesn’t try to make excuses like No space etc- his problem.4

Glad you got a Christmas day with most of the kids, followed by a Boxing day which sounds very much needed in more ways than one. Yes, I agree, ex's stuff round to his house with no excuses on his part, certainly not opening the doors (pun not meant) to the 'legal right to remove items' ever again.4

Great to hear you’ve gained some much needed cupboard space, Lou. When you return your ex’s belongings make sure to include the last of DS1’s stuff. Fuel economy, and all that.4
