It sounds like the kids are all really beginning to see him as he really is.......Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2

At least you know you are doing the right thing divorcing him - not that there was ever any doubt. Nothing is worth this kind of harassment. I would have reported him to the police and not let him take stuff but I appreciate it's difficult to get him out one he's got in. I am really glad you have friends rallying around to help.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I think that the chairs have gone in the attic says it all. This was done to control and intimidate you. More frighteningly it was planned, from the coercion of the DC who 'borrowed' the key, to messing about with the lock to coming when you were in when you were a step ahead on that one to demanding you hand over items that were in family use.
Not that I'm wishing covid on any of you and I hope DD1 feels better soon, but I'm glad it will keep him away. You have a lovely Xmas anyway despite him and despite everything.4 -
Hello @Honeysucklelou2, your diary has made for an epic read over the last few day. Every time I read about you making debt overpayments, I got excited for you! I am sorry your ex husband has been so cruel to you. Hopefully 2022 will see things concluded on the divorce front. I wish you a peaceful and joyous Christmas with your family xdebt free £17653.02/ £17653.02, 100% repaid on 31 May 2022, debt free date 25 Dec 20223

You have had such a lot to cope with and your ex has been dreadful so I cannot imagine what that has been like for you. I hope 2022 is the year you finally manage to get him almost completely out of your life (as much as you can do with the children). Hopefully you have managed to pull a few bits together for Christmas. Once you no longer have the legal bills hopefully the money situation will improve.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Thank you DAL, SH, ES and Spendless and welcome Jill12.
Today has been a better day...totally unlike any other Christmas Eve I can remember because it will be the first time I’ve only cooked for the people I live with. All other Christmases, including childhood Christmases, have involved extended family but Covid has changed that this year, so I found myself with much less prep to do! I got round to baking the Christmas cake. I’m working on the principle of better late than never!
I’ve been able to spend some time with DD2 which has been good. Our work times for the last 4 months have been completely opposite, which means I’ve hardly seen her but today we had the opportunity to see the sea. There was enough surf to please those in the water, yet not a wild sea. The stunning winter sunset had transformed the damp areas of the sand into colourful reflections of the sky. There was some mist hovering over the water giving an ethereal look, softening the sheer edges of the cliffs behind. One of those evenings when your senses are drinking in the sights and sounds before you. We were much refreshed by such sights and have resolved to try and walk some more of the coast before work starts again.

Merry Christmas Lou. Though not great that covid has changed things for so many people, I am glad it has fetched you time to relax more and spend time with your DD2.
Best wishes for the New Year. I hope 2022 will finally be the one where things are sorted and you can start afresh.5
