Spend day today, bought Duncan a hard bed, he'll have trouble ripping this one to pieces.
Forgot I spent on thurday, so my 5 day streak was a lie, I'm still on 11 NSD's.
Went to view the house today. It's perfect. Only thing in the way is how big a mortgage we can raise.
Guess we'll find out on Tuesday.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Sofa duvet snuggles.
2) Hot water bottles.
3) Cups of tea.

Not even going to contemplate NSD's.
Gratitude for yesterday:
1) Not being American
2) The warm glow from helping someone out.
3) The lovely (free) coffee and long natter with person. We haven't managed to meet up in months.
Today:
1) Lovely cold run
2) Being way under budget on everything after doing my accounts despite being lousy on NSD's
3) DH's colleagues who are round for the day studying with him. He gets SOOO much more done and I get to cook for them:j
Ok. Off to ruin another NSD. Dry cleaning and veg - haggis w neeps and tatties tonight.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Not a NSD today as I paid for parking (£3) when we went out to Pizza Express and had lunch with clubcard boosted points. Remainder was under £30 for the six of us which DH picked up the bill for. So still on 6/15.
grateful for :
not having to make lunch,
not having to make much for tea tonight as we are all well stuffed
MSE for teaching me how to keep my money in my pocket and making it work for me, and not feeling like a total weirdo when I come on here. The people I interact with on a daily basis just do not get the whole MSE thing at all.
So thank you all and have a lovely weekend.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Not NSD - DS2 has grown out of his walking boots so nipped to Mountain Warehouse and picked up a pair for £25 and 3 pairs of walking socks (realised all his thick socks are either now thin or are slipper socks) for £4. Both items in the sale/ on special, so could have been worse!
Other than that, have had a lay day - unusually for a Saturday. DS1 and gf have stayed in all day. I dropped DD and bf into town at lunchtime (well, my lunchtime - they'd not long been up) Oooh - and I had a lie in until 8.30 as OH got up with DS3 (who was awake at 5.30 but was playing on OH's phone in the middle of our bed until 6) Am currently baking mega chocolate cookies - the smell is divine
- double sized batch but it won't last long with this lot around! Also made a batch of chilli earlier - any leftovers will be eaten by me during the week for easy meals
Today I am thankful for:
* my much needed lie in
* DS3 & DS2 taking to DD's bf
* finding the recipe again for the cookies

Hi
Raphael - fingers crossed for the mortgage and I hope everything works out for you.
Didn't get a nsd - needed to get milk and coffee today (absolute essentials). Also bagged some lovely YS goodies.
Today I'm grateful for:
My tutoring job making me enough £ to get me through the week ahead
Mr T for having YS cheesecake reduced from £3.50 to 48p (it would have been rude not to)
DS being man of the match in his football game today. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening All!
Well I've been absent for a few days - so just catching up with everyone...
Grattitudes from Thur-Sat:
I) I am grateful for my car and to my parents for helping me buy it
ii) I am grateful for the music that gets me up and to work most days
iii) I am grateful to our cat for lots of cuddles
iv) I am grateful to all the people involved in making films and TV series
v) I am grateful to my brother and his wife and for the computer they gave me years ago that still serves me well
vi) I am grateful for my comfy warm bed and shelter in this cold weather
vii) I am grateful to the people who run my gym
viii) I am grateful for the ability to text
ix) I am grateful for even more cat cuddles haha
So only managed one more NSD yesterday = number 12. I got to the gym today, but my daily mindfulness went by the way a little. I need to get back on track with that. Otherwise, not a great deal to report. I'm limping my way through to pay day next week now, though have plenty in I can use.

Hi all
Been missing for a few days. Work!!! Been checking in the thread but no time to post.
Didn't get my Assistant Principal job. Received mixed feedback which was a bit upsetting but trying to put it into perspective. It's only a job. I just feel a bit like I've lost my way, career wise. I'll get over it.
Been really trying to not spend too much but it's really hard! Three kids are so expensive! Still have plenty of surplus as we're fortunate to have plenty but am mindful of not wasting money. We want to pay our mortgage off by 2023 and every £ helps!
Want some advice. Nearly out of night cream. My normal brand is Clarins which is £44 which I don't normally mind paying as it lasts 2 - 3 months. But wondered if anyone had a brand they swear by to keep them youthful?!
Grateful for:
1. Good friends at work
2. Lovely kids I teach
3. My fab house
4. My gorgeous hardworking DH
5. My 3 beautiful funny kids
6. Criminal minds
7. The book 'Wonder' which was amazing
8. My Mum and dad bring so generous with time and money towards my children
9. Slimming World! Feeling back on track. Day 3 100% on it.
Lots of love everyone xNSDs January 14
