Hi everyone
I'm a teacher. Get to work at 7 am and leave between 5 and 7pm (longer on parents Eve etc). Do 2 - 4 hrs marking Monday to Thursday (Friday night off). Work for around 5 - 6 hours on Sundays. Don't have a break or lunch break or frees as I'm on SLT (leadership role) despite still teaching full timetable. So work between 10 - 16 hours per day plus weekends and holidays.NSDs January 14

Now need to focus on rehoming books as I feel we have enough to open a library - my children's old school have said any donations would be gratefully received so that's where they will be heading.

Good morning everyone,
Low spend day yesterday as I spend £3.50 at football.
Today however shall be a NSD I am glad to announce and I'm going to my grans for dinner. Can't wait.
Tomorrow however is sketchy. There is proposed plans to do something with the boys, which usually involves some sort of spend. I think I'll turn up later on once they've had food etc.0 -
Sending hugs to those in need ((( )))
Reporting in another 3 NSD's up to yesterday taking me to 10 for the month so far.
Today will be a spend day as I have my spa afternoon so will need to pay gown/slipper hire.
Mid-month review - I would like to have brought the house we live in under Right To Buy and I would also like to have cleared at least £3000 of debt. I also want to socialise more, DH and I only have a few friends and we never really see them properly. I also want to make a decent income from our smallholding.
We are moving forward with the Right To Buy, we have a mortgage in principle and will make a full application this week, I have also spoken to a local solicitor regarding conveyancing - for those that have purchased a house recently - how much did you pay a solicitor?
I paid £30 + £280 off my debt at the weekend but need to hold back on some money in case we need to pay any mortgage fee's.
More socialising not yet happened but it will.
Moving forward with income from smallholding - we have purchased a 2nd hand tennis court ready to house our turkeys. Usually they free range and go off and lay their eggs and come back with babies but we need to sell their eggs as they are worth a lot of money as they are rare breed. a few years ago we sold the eggs for about £25-£30 per half dozen so this is the plan again for this year.0 -

We brought our house last year - conveyancing (sp?) fees were around £900 - £1,000 all in (that included solicitors work and checks they needed to do). Can't remember the exact figure but it was definitely between the two.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Absolutely loving where we have moved to - the beach is so close and there's also a lovely park/botanical gardens nearbyI've got a doctors appointment this afternoon then a late shift at work. Afternoon All!
Yesterday was a NSD to that takes me up to 6/15 over a third of the way there, and very nearly at half way mark!
Tomorrow will not be as I have to pay the carpenter and he is insisting on cash. Twit.
Today I am grateful for; not being married to a self employed tradesman. They all seem to be miserable.
Having enough food in the house to do the rest of the week without even needing to think too hard about it.
For the internet, so I can learn how to do little DIY jobs myself, as they make me braver. There is no reason I need to pay someone to do something I can do myself. I just need to embrace the balance of the spirit level. Be at one with the hammer drill and open my mind to the power of the tools.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Howdy folks
Today well its a spendy day - treated myself to a few houseplants in morrisons and to be honest so cheap won't matter if I kill them like I usually do. My garden is always fab but houseplants eek another matter.Thought cheaper than flowers and nice to having something bright and cheery about.
Also bought bit salad and sausage rolls oops - lovely hot and 8 of them in packet for a pound-diet next week. Didn't eat 8 shared with boss. Total spend 6 pounds - lumping into food budget.
Moved my half day off till tomorrow as too dull and miserable today. Prefer it on Fridays anyway.
Grateful for
Plusnet cheque 50 pounds received.
Hair looking better today.Dyed roots last night shiny and bouncy now.
