Happy hump day folks.
Today will be a SFD, why didn't I buy milk yesterday doh!
Nothing much else to report, squirreled another 100 pounds to my cc which leaves me broke until February so no extra payments till then.
Had a bad nights sleep again, can't believe my chest hasn't cleared up fully yet been 19 days now. Starting to get me down now, can't do exercise and weight is going in the wrong direction.
Grateful for.
Seeing a bit of blue sky today.
Cozy house.

Today I am grateful for:
I) The sunshine and my nature walk
ii) Food in my cupboard. Made a yummy stew
iii) My bedroom and home comforts
Clocked 2 NSDs on the trot, so today = NSD number 11
Did my nature walk and added another £3.00 to my November CASH BONUS. Was lovely to get outside. Feeling tired today so going to have a quick power nap and then a lovely chilled out night x

NSD today - too busy and tired to spend anything!
Spent 3.5hours volunteering then dropped off my iron at the local (1.5+ miles away)collect + store for returning to supplier and then came home and did 1.5 hours of ironing in front of catch up tv. Grabbed leftover risotto for lunch (was meant to have soup which I made yesterday but wasn't feeling in the mood) with 2 cups of tea, did some washing up and put a load on before collecting smallest from school.
Made rocky road style stuff this morning before school run/ volunteering and left it in fridge to set all day. Using up weird flavoured fudge in each batch (no one likes the fudge by itself, but it works melted into the choc mix for rocky road-ish) - prob one batch worth's left now
Today I am grateful for:
* an empty bin so I could bring lots of rubbish (and recycling) home from volunteering
* ready prepped food for ease and speed
* my comfy bed (well I will be later!)

Today has not been a NSD - ended up buying fresh food (veg/fruit because we were out). It should last until end of the month now though so should only have to buy milk again. Fridge and freezer is rammed - which leaves me feeling much more confident. I hate an empty fridge - it reminds me of my childhood when there would be nothing to eat apart from a bowl Of pasta with some butter or beans and toast.
I'm planning on doing a load of batch cooking tomorrow for lunches etc. I've got to get my head back in the game - particularly on the diet front as I've gained more weight than intended!
1) I'm grateful for a full fridge/freezer
2) I'm grateful for this week off because I've had some much needed time to recuperate
3) I'm grateful that it didn't rain on my walk today!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Still plodding.
Paid for bus hop to crafts but walked back. Crafts low key but soothing. Drew a unicorn and then someone else wanted one - she turned hers into a zebracorn.
Today I am grateful for quiet companionship, for managing a longer walk and for confirmation that I have got my warm home discount (£140 yippee). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Definitely not a NSD today. Feeling sore and out of sorts. Popped into the local beauty place just in case. Indulgent massage later I feel 100% better.
I have a budget for 'ME'. The last couple of months its gone on crap food, chocolate and cakes. I decided to treat myself as I haven't touched it at all this month.
Collected DH's ironing and topped up on milk.
Grateful today for:
1) A slot at the beauty salon with a great masseuse.
2) The budget that I have been carefully nurturing since November has paid off. I don't feel guilty about spending the money and time on me. Particularly as I have stuck to my diet so far this month as well so saved this amount this month alone.
3) My DH. He made me laugh when I complained of being achy this morning. He offered to give me a massage:rotfl: Nice try!Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Another NSD - No 8 (doing better now)
Had a day to myself as C is out with a friend. Pleased to see him getting back to normal. His friend has just retired (well actually doing one shift a week which makes quite a lot of money) so they have formed the Wednesday Club (basically a day in the pub sorting the world out). At present a membership of 2 but I can become an associate member as I don't know enough about football!
So I spent today cleaning the kitchen (seriously needed a really good clean - fridge, cupboards, the whole thing). Haven't done the oven as that will take a whole day on it's own. Made doctors appointments for overdue checks for blood pressure and asthma and phoned council to get repairs started after the leak in December and to ask them to fix the external lighting which has apparently been out since we went on holiday but nobody has bothered to report. Why do people always leave these things to someone else? Emailed my relatives in New Zealand. My to do list is going down a bit.
So today I am grateful for:
C's wonderful friend for looking out for him (hasn't been the easiest thing this last year so a true friend)
A shiny clean kitchen
Having dinner with me son (rarely do that these days).
I just want to say that I am shocked at the number of hours all you teachers are working. Shouldn't be surprised really as my cousin was a teacher and I remember her spending every Sunday afternoon preparing for the next week, being at school at 8.30 am and not leaving until 5.00pm (nine and a half hour day) and that didn't include parents evenings, after school activities etc., never mind what she did in the holidays. You are definitely not appreciated.
Have a good evening.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
No Spend days - Yay 10/15 - kids had friends over which would usually mean a spendy day but made do with what we had in instead
