I am a late starter. Haven't been on here for a very long time. I hope to buy a new house in 12 months and need to make the most of current one. Decluttering and beautifying are my goals. So target of a few items a day will motivate me to keep going.
Will make a start in the morning.0 -
I have had a very productive day off today. In general, the house doesn't look too bad. This morning I was able to tidy, dust and vacuum downstairs easily, then sat down and started sorting through papers-I will be decluttering these for yeeeeeears to come .
This afternoon, desperate to add to the numbers leaving the house,I opened a wooden chest at the top of the stairs. It is hardly ever used, and holds all sorts of random treasures .I was able to easily find a few never-watched,still in packaging DVD's.I only own about 7 DVD's,and I think I have just donated the majority of them .Can't remember the last time I watched a DVD that was not belonging to the kids.
Out of the house today:
Donated:
761-762:2 jumpers, still with tags. They were gifts, but I was never going to wear them, and they were just making me feel guilty
763:teddy bear
764:cross-stitch magazine,still in plastic wrap
765:fleece that I don't know where it came from.
766:another fleece
767-777:11 books
778-782:5 DVD's
Donated for rags:
783-810:assortment of trousers bleached through work, torn clothes, old underwear, fabric scraps, and a canvas bag which I had stained with tea on the day I thought I would be very MSE and smuggle home-made cup of tea into the cinema.Twas never going to end well
Recycled:
811:box from Build-a-bear Workshop, found while I was rummaging for clothes to donate
812:bundle of papers,as a result of sorting papers this afternoon.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Ok here goes. Hard to know where to start.
Desk in the dining room seemed a good idea. Smallish space and no distractions.
1 Old paperwork - recycling
2 Christmas cards. Addresses noted - recycling
3 Pens. Dead ones - bin
4 Couple of magazines - take to local hospital next time I am passing. Not gone but in the departure lounge.
Tomorrow the under stairs cupboard is the target. Numbers should shoot up then!!0 -
Thank you purplevamp ,i am looking forward to the challenge0
