All the unwanted furniture was collected and carted off today to the charity for less fortunate people
We also found some old cushions, pillows etc which we put out with the bins last night.
So the house is now back to the part tidied state we got it in just after Christmas, so now we can continue with that0 -

I feel like there's so much more that I could be getting rid of but I've really slowed down. I'm off on holiday for a week just after Easter - I'm hoping it will re-charge my de-cluttering batteries....Shifting my energy for 20200 -

So late last week our landlady rings us and tells us she has someone coming to value our house on Monday morning. Something to do with the fact that this used to be her mothers property and now her mum has passed away the property needs to be valued for probate purposes - that's what we've been told but I reckon she wants to sell up...
So after receiving this news, we start going hammer and tongs getting the house to a presentable state. We had a lot of rubbish and some other bits that all got collected by the bin men on Thursday morning, I moved every single bag of stuff to sell from all round the house down to the shed which has cleared our landing completely, and cleared about 80% from under the stairs(the 2 worst areas). Mum and I have finished sorting her room now and she has got rid of more clothes, I'm about to clean the bathroom and pick up a couple bits in my room then I'll hoover throughout upstairs, then help mum with the stairs then she'll hoover throughout downstairs0 -
Feel like I've stalled a bit lately, I'm so busy I can barely keep up with anything at the moment. List for the last week...
719. babygrow
720. hand wash
721. baby blanket
722.-723. shower gels
724.-725 books
726-731. bibs (I'm sure these are breeding or something, I'm finding them everywhere!)
732-733. toys (relocated to Grandma's house)
734. DVD box set
I don't hold out much hope for the next few days, but with my husband having Easter off work, perhaps we can get something done then. The 'stuff' everywhere is driving me crackers, it seems to be getting worse instead of better!0 -
Have been decluttering the shed - again. Its where a lot of the house clutter has ended up:
some to sell, some tip/recycle, some chazza-
another cd rack
wicker hamper
DS game boxes
24 dvd's
8 picture frames
1 pair curtains
2 bar stools
2 sun loungers
about 20 ornaments
some more old books
3 binbags of old shoes! :eek:Couldnt believe it.
round side table
about 100 hanging files
2 ukuleles
Ive forgotton the rest, but theres a big heap of it outside.
Is it rude to keep dropping things at the same charity shop? I always go to a big one with a car park.Save''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0 -
I try to share the love, beautiful_raven. Some of the really big ones get inundated so I also take stuff to some of the smaller, more independent ones and always try to drop stuff off at hospice and Welsh air ambulance shops as both very close to my heart and minimal funding from central government.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

Today I sorted the mess under my desk. Out went old photos, drawings, Paint brushes, pencils, pallets and stuff the kids used for plasticine modelling. I can now get my knees under the desk. Next is a pile of sketch pads and painting paper. I also have a t least one t shirt for the bin.0

Just one thing from me today...
735. Pack of Blank Cards - used up and turned into Easter cards by my little girl.
I've also listed lots on eBay today which I'm really pleased about. I normally put things on Buy It Now as I find you get better prices, but I've just stuck loads of baby clothes on auction, as I want rid of them quickly, fingers crossed they sell!0
