List for this week as follows. Unfortunately I didn't note everything down, so there may be a few things I missed, but this is what I remember...
707. -709. baby clothes
710. mini torch keyring
711.-713 toys
714. perfume
715. bag
716. apron
717. dress
718. jeans
I've also been working on getting rid of crafty items by making cards with the kids and since I have huge amounts of cotton wool I used some to make cress egg heads with them a few days ago. Next week we will be making spring sheep pictures to use up some more :rotfl: Any other ideas for using up cotton wool welcome!
Saver-Upper Selling things is definitely time consuming, if I wasn't selling so much I'd have got rid of a lot more. Good luck with it though, I'm enjoying the extra money I've made from doing it so far - not megabucks, but enough to put towards a few bills and treats for the kids.
Welcome Trendyjenny! Best of luck. Personally I don't struggle with my own books, but I can't bear to part with my kids books, I'm not sure why that is!0 -
Been tidying up and cleaning up in my room today
Put all the weeks laundry that was done yesterday away, cleaned dust off surfaces, and found a tiny tea tray that was just sat gathering dust, so that went into one of the bags that will be sold with the car boot job lot
Finally lit a candle that I bought weeks ago just to use it up as I won't buy candles over the summer.
Also sorted out some of my other things like my makeup and health/beauty things. Bought a small round tote bag reduced to £1 the other day and put all my makeup etc. in there so it's all in one place. This has freed up the bag that it was all in so I will use that bag in my main bag for carrying small items that I might lose otherwise0 -
Wow you've all been doing so well. I will have a bit of a go today and report back.0

4 more items of clothing in the bags of stuff to sell
Sorted through my wardrobe yet again ( :rotfl: ) and got all hoodies etc on shelves, all tops hung up, work bottoms hung up, every other bottoms on shelves. I think I am happy with this layout now
We need to move all the furniture that's being collected on Thursday to beside the front door on Wednesday evening to make it easier for them to collect.
I've been getting caught up in reading these "things every woman should have in their handbag" posts, my current bag needs a sort out anyway so I'm off to do that :hello:0 -
Is it too late to join in for this year .Thank you0
-
I would love to join if that's ok. I know it's late in the year but I really need to get rid of some clutter. I have been doing 30 bags in 30 days challenge but it's just on YouTube so no support like on here.
I have loads of DS's stuff to get rid of. I was hoping to fill it again but it's not to be. I'm too sentimental to be honest and find it very difficult so need some motivation and support.
I have worked out there are 266 days until Christmas Eve and I would love a clean, tidy and clutter free home by then. This does mean 7.5 items per day or 52.5 per week to achieve the target .
I have a set of washable nappies which I can sell so need to look into that first but if I'm going to achieve the target I need to get on.

Hi try harder and parsniphead. It's never too late to join. The more the merrier. It may encourage some of us (me) to get our bums in gear and chuck out some more stuff.
Just get rid of what you can,. Don't worry about totals. Even getting rid on one thing is better than nothing, right??!!Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,869.54 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £130 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £131.04 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0 -
Have had a very bitty weeeknd, and would love to have about 200,0022,111,111 items to just chuck, and add to the numbers. It is not that the house is filled to the gunnells-actually,the place doesn't look too bad.But at the moment I am concentrating on decluttering papers, and it is a slow old ride. And at the end of 3 hours decluttering, all I have to show for it is paper taken from filing box,and spread all over the floor in piles for filing, piles for binning/recycling,piles for shredding....
.And a bit of space made in the filing box.But nobody sees that
.
Yesterday I got rid of:
752:kid's novelty drinking straw ,given in Christmas stocking, but had gone a bit yucky inside. Not mouldy as the kids thought, but I think juice had dried up in there ,and I couldn't be bothered sorting it.Binned.(Kids agreed it could go)
753:bundle of stationery that I had set aside for a friend when sorting through papers last week.I hadn't used it for years, and she loves that sort of stuff.
754:tiny crayon/colouring set from holidays-parts binned,parts recycled
Today I got rid of:
755:old,holey plastic bags to Sainsbury recycling bin
756:a mini-cupcake making kit that has been in cupboard since at least 2 Christmases ago-cardboaard/paper pieces seperated for recycling
757-760:a random count of 4 for two hours of starting to declutter my filing "cabinet" (actually a very nifty hanging file box from Staples).Cleared out all sorts of random wonders, including the cardboard box a mobile phone came in,written directions to customers' houses, going back 7 years.I did enjoy remembering alot of the customers I have worked for over the years-that was a nice little project. Also discarded care instructions for a wool blanket and a sheepskin rug I was given when pregnant with eldest child, who turns 15 later this month, receipts and instruction manuals for 2 or 3 dishwashers, and many other assorted insruction manuals.
I did clear alot of room in filing box,but could do better,so will revisit another time.
And that's all.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Finally decluttered some more stuff -
-2 old candle holders
-3 chipped glasses
-6 euro 2012 coke glasses free at McDonalds that we brought home from holiday in Italy
- file of cross stitch patterns I will never do to friend who also does cross stitch
- pack of Chinese cross stitch threads to CS
- 2 dented storage tins to bin
- 4 more storage tins to CS
- vest tops I was going to make jersey jewellery with but never did to CS
- 2 spare tape measures to friend
- £17.68 in change all round the house to coin master at supermarket
- spare picnic cool bag to CS
This weekend I will be focusing on DIY supplies as we have a whole understaffs cupboard full of supplies. I bought a big tool box and still can't fit everything in it, and we have endless paint tins - and I don't think half of them have any paint in them! And coats, gloves and scarves live under there too, and I need to clear it all out and start again.
A couple of things have been brought in-
-new suitcase for holidays to replace OH's 2 big bags that went
-pack of 6 new Ikea glasses to replace chipped glasses and the football ones I hated
I'm seriously considering doing a home inventory while I'm off work next week to see where I need the most decluttering!"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0
