I've managed to get rid of 3 Christmas jumpers. The charity shop wouldn't take them but I went to the recycling centre where they had a charity clothes donations 'bin' thing, for a children's cancer group.

Also donated a sitting room cushion.

I've still got two lovely Thelwell pony models that need a new home. I'm only keeping the ones I really love, so these two have to go. I'm trying to get the motivation to put them on eBay, but it was such a hassle previously.

    17. 1 Cross Stitch calendar - took out charts I liked, recycled rest.

    Here's more.....
    109: packet of stickers
110:unopened packet of Ikea hanging hooks to go over doors
Oh,didn't realise the list ended there :o.

Last night,I asked a couple of friends on a Watsapp group I am on, if they knew of a place to donate all this stuff. One of the girls suggested a local Benardo shop she donates to.
So this afternoon I went in,asked if they were taking doantions.Yes.I asked if they throw out alot as unusable. The lady was lovely.SHe said most gets sold in this shop, some gets sent to another shop (I think stuff sells differently in different branches, according to the area).Anything that can,t be sold (textiles, clothes),gets collected ,baled up,and sold on,they get money for that too. There was a third step, which I can't remember, but it was all good

No cluttering again today but pinter has finished office and is going great guns on son's bedroom. He wants to know which room next  so downstairs loo (whose walls are in a bad state) and can clear next big room at the weekend.

Mixture of charity shop (ornaments, costume jewellery, stationery, fabric for rags) and recycling centre (wonky clothes rail, expired light bulbs & electrical bits 'n' bobs) for me today, plus I found a non-profit theatre costume company who'd like a lovely dress I have. Plus a load of now-empty old cardboard boxes in the recycling bin.

    549 dried flowers
    550-555 manuals no longer needed
    556-557 carpet samples
    558-570 envelopes
    571-615 cards
    616-741-paperwork and brochures

All of these out of my paperwork cupboard. Soon I will have my paperwork in there all sorted and might find paperwork elsewhere to go in it.

I've currently got about 8 box files elsewhere which will not ever fit into the cupboard. They are holiday related and have maps, guide books, leaflets and momentos etc in each one. I wish I had room on the bookcase for some of the guide books and maps and then maybe I can reduce the amount of boxes they currently reside in. Still, they are filed away ok for now.

I also have a box of theatre programmes. They fill a box themselves but it is nice to go through them and remember the visits to the theatre. Some though I don't remember so they may go. Our local Oxfam shop has a section with programmes and guide books so some could end up there eventually.

I have found some items relating to the local church so may check if they want those for their archives.

I don't just want to throw stuff out for recycling if there is another option.

We've dropped a couple of bags of stuff off at the charity shop, I've started a rag bag of clothing, and we have a box of things to take to the recycling centre. I'm going to go through my wardrobe aggain today as there are at least three pairs of shoes that I should add to the rag bag - how many pairs of shoes do I need for gardening after all!
