    Would like some company on my quest to declutter. Started today, but didn't take note of everything "gone"

    Really interested in where I can [STRIKE]get rid[/STRIKE] declutter [STRIKE]some[/STRIKE] a whole lot of dvd's. After my coats/jackets, shoes and bags, this will be my next focus. Can't wait to get onto them.

    However I would hope I can still find 2017 items, still to be decluttered. So from memory today;

    1 2 lotto tickets and a bundle of receipts
    2-6 5 garments from my lingerie drawer
    7-8 2 tops
    9-11 3 pairs gloves
    11 odds & sods from make-up
    12-13 2 bottles moisturiser
    14-17 4 pairs socks

    yeah, made the 17, so that's just 2,000 more to go. May get round to counting all the trousers, tops, blouses etc, etc laying in 3 different piles atm that I have managed to discard.

  • I thought you fellow declutteers might appreciate the shirt sketch - 2nd one in, I think, on John Finnemores Souvenir Programme on BBCRadio 4.

    I sell dvds/ books/ games/ cds via Ziffit - have found them quick and reliable. You can also use MusicMagpie. Quidco also do cback for Ziffit and you can often find an extra 10/15% code by searching online. Not massive amounts, but if you want rid quickly and in one go then I've found it's the easiest solution :)

    purplevamp - you are quite right !!! What can I say, had a busy day, was tired and up very late. When I re-read my post tonight, I saw I had miscounted. BUT was wondering if you count the no of same items eg 3 pairs of gloves as 1 item or 3 ?

    I don't think it matters if you count 3 things as 3 or 1. Personally I'd go for 3 :p

    I was going to throw out some broken backpacks from DS2 but never quite got round to it. Lucky I didn't as DD came home from school and had a busted zip on her skirt. I couldn't fix it as the tag bit was broken but there was the same size one in one of the backpacks. Half an hour of huffing and grrr-ing later her skirt was fixed. :j
