Hope everyone has been managing to stay warm -3 here I even had to defrost the car on the way home from work

I have cleared the [STRIKE]stuff I might need for a rainy day[/STRIKE] crap out of downstairs toilet room. Most has been re homed plus a bag of junk. You would be surprised what a person can fit in such a tiny space! Washed the floor and cleaned the loo until it sparkles.

Just going to have a break for tea then start on a kitchen cupboard.
I have a dilemma, all the in date food I will take to food bank (does anyone know how much in date it has to be, to be accepted?) What to do with the out of date food, this is MSE so I know I should be eating it up but I am doing the grocery challenge next month and I really want to start a fresh with clean/clear cupboards and only buy what I need for the coming week or two. No more stocking up on food that won't be eaten just because there is an offer on or I think I can do something with it later:o

    Half my kitchen done
    Ground floor vacced
    Bathroom S&s
Top up shop done for parents and us
    Parents visited

Car still was frozen at 11am so I gave in and scraped it.

Lovely photo Piggers. Hope you are all well x
  • Evening everyone,

Piggers lovely to "see" you and hope you are well, photo is lovely!

Things haven't gone to plan today, I've done loads, just not what was on the list. Lots of washing and some ironing, dishwasher has been constantly on (how?), cleared the dining table (which was a mess) then OH decided it would be a good time to move the bedding box from the kitchen to our new bedroom. Which was fine, but the bedding box was covered in one giant hotspot, which all got dumped on the cleared dining table. Hoovered kitchen and living room. Walked dog. Also went for my riding lesson and scarily skidded the car on black ice. Managed to avoid hitting anything - please be careful everyone while driving in this weather!
We then had a couple of unexpected visitors, so flying ceased for the day.
I'm now off to put up the old feet with a glass of prosecco.
Tomorrow I'm facing the hell that is 1kea as the children need new wardrobes.

    Catch you all later!

Lovely photo and great that you trotted by.

I haven't done much today other than a humungously long assessment.
    - went to Ald1 but no major bargains other than super 6 veg is 19p.
    - sent a couple of e-thank you notes
    - ordered tickets for Albert Hall on Friday

Bit alarmed about all these obese 40-60yr olds, of which I am one. OK to be fair I'm not into the obese category, but certainly overweight especially after a month or so of being glued to a chair writing reports followed by Christmas. So, as my gym now has a book-on-line system (which we all hate), I have booked a class for tomorrow and also next week's zumba. I suppose that is one advantage to the advance booking system, once I've booked I can't back out.

    Seriously cold here.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
