Hi all and thank you for the lovely present, it will be very useful and I keep flicking the pages to see the budgie (I can see everyone's eyes going what?).

We got back from a relaxing few days at my mum, visiting my brother briefly on the way there and the way home today. also spent time with MIL who is staying with BIL not far from my mum. Had pleasant Christmas Eve meal all 5 of us which was a relief as the mum's don't get on well.

Would you believe it, dropped in to local C00p to get milk on the way home and they have Easter Eggs on display. I feel quite offended and disgusted really. Christmas ends for me on 12th night.

Tomorrow I've got an assessment to do at home while Mr N is at work. Lots to tidy of course, all in bags/boxes etc so will have to get up early to make the lounge look presentable for the client.

Have only skim read last few days, so glad most of you had a good time and a few smiles amidst any tears. Welcome to newbies and returners. -2 degrees here.

Evening all and a warm welcome to the new peoples and returners :hello

Thanks for the lists Valli and last week Natty.

Was thrown a bit out of schedule today, as DH was phoned at lunchtime to swop shift to Friday. Hence had to change plans for the rest of the day with him being around and about.

Still, managed dailies and dusted right through, as much as could manage. Kitchen bunkers, and attendant paraphernalia, all clean and tidy, but lower cupboards and floor need doing yet.

Hugs to all, gws vibes, sticks and spoons if you need some
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

  • Good morning all :)

DH has gone into work and me and the kiddies are in my bed cuddled up :) DD loves her kindle that we bought her.

I'm off list today. I must go to the tip, fill out my new calendar, post office, drop stuff off at charity shop and drop off a late present to sister in law. I also need to wash the bedding, call round to grandmas and do our budget for next year. We've done so well paying our mortgage down we need to keep the momentum going, so I need to drill down the figures to see what we can do.

Gosh, that was a witter! Time for a cuppa now, have lovely days all x

    Morning all

Narc0lepsy Easter Eggs  thats just not right

Bathroom is upstairs, I am not ready to start anything up there yet. I want to get the downstairs fully done before I move onto upstairs so I will be tackling the downstairs toilet instead.

Todays tasks - Clean/tidy downstairs loo and de-clutter/clean one kitchen cupboard.

Now off to get ready for the paid stuff. Have a good day everybody.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today. Very frosty here.

I have washed the breakfast dishes and dusted the dusty bits in the LR. I'll be glad when I take down the Christmas decs as it's hard to clean around them, but that can wait until Monday.

About to get dressed, then I'll walk the dogs, get some washing in the machine and if there's time, take a look at the list before the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning!

Just having a leisurely coffee while I get my thoughts together. Kids are away to inlaws this afternoon - MIL is taking DD to the ballet for her Xmas present and FIL and DS are having a few hours playing boys toys, remote control cars I think.

I need to pop out this afternoon- a couple of cards and some more hay. Won't be going far - the nearby shopping centre has been apparently manic the last couple of days. Not that I'd get hay there anyway, lol.

I wouldn't mind having an hour reading later too - then I'm going to meet the football mums for a glass of wine or two :p

Morning all  and welcome to new and returning Flyladies.

Thank you Valli for the new thread and Natty for last week's. Somehow I managed to complete yesterday's list without actually finding it until after I'd done it, IYSWIM :rotfl:

Yesterday DH and I went to SW weigh-in and both of us have put on 9 lb between us (of which 6 were on me) without eating very much of the wrong stuff  so decluttering that and more will be my New Year project. Then I had a peaceful hour to myself, taking the train into the big city to meet an elderly friend who is now staying with us until Thursday evening - she hardly ever stops talking, so by 10 pm last night I was exhausted, and I've slept through until 7.30 this morning. That may also be down to the fact that yesterday afternoon I took her for a short but brisk walk up the biggest hill near us (she likes mountains, and this was the best I could do.) We had a glorious view, with the sun just setting and the distant hills rising out of the mist.

I'm sitting here with my early morning cuppa, bathed in daylight. DH gave me a S.A.D. lamp for Christmas so I am hoping this will help to cure my complete and utter exhaustion - it's been worse than ever this year. I had Vit D deficiency at the height of summer, so that could be back with a vengeance, but I've got a blood test to be done next week for a routine check the following week, so I'll wait and see what that throws up and keep using the lamp in the meantime. It feels like I have been stuck indoors with DH for months. Last week's prescription of ABs seem to have fended off his chest problems, but he is not planning on going out until tomorrow, and even then he will not be outdoors for long.

    Today I must
    - S&S kitchen
    - S&S bathroom
    - put stew in SC
    - take our friend to a local NT property (Arts & Crafts era :D) for a spot of lunch and a mooch round
    - email my children re food for the family party on Sunday

Our very tasty and succulent turkey is now reduced to 2 portions plus bits and stock for soup, but Christmas is far from over in this house - I put my decorations up quite late, so never take them down until 12th night, and even then some little bits stay up for the Epiphany season until 2nd February, otherwise the wise men don't get their fair share of the fun. Easter eggs in December? Bah humbug!

Hope you all have a good day: (((hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx

Ok, so in the last hour and a bit I have done what I intended and put out all the recycling, and in the downstairs loo I have cleaned the mirror, toilet and sink and refilled the loo rolls.

    Paid stuff now.

  • Morning all!

Thanks for the lists Valli and Natty. We got back from visiting my parents last night. The house is worse than awful so I'm actually looking forward to getting stuck in.
Welcome to new people and returners!
iona, I hope the lamp works, but my theory as to why you are tired is because you always seems to fit about four days into one! I'm constantly astonished.

    OK my list.

    wm on
    dw emptied and reloaded
    all the lists if possible
    Tidy LR
    Hoover LR
Clean new bedroom and bathroom windows inside and out
    Sweep around front
    Charity shop run
    Horse riding lesson at 2.30
Shopping coming between 4 and 5

Right, best get cracking and I'll start with a bath.

Just got up and made a coffee, which I've brought back to bed. And had a little Flylady thrill feeling because the house is clean and tidy. DW went on overnight, some helpful offspring must have switched it on, and WM x 2 which I plan to peg out.
Bathrooms desperate and on today's list! What a coincidence! *giggle*
