NIc sounds like you found a few good deals will have to have a look as dd loves stationary stuff

typical the argos 3 for 2 toys is on and there is nothing I want in stock guess I'll take my business else where. I will probably be able to source it all at a similar price eventually just would have been so much easier to get it in one go.

Brought gdd a beautiful dress for her birthday which came today so just need to get some tights to go with it.

    Hiya,
Just got back from a week in Cornwall. Had lovely weather for 5 days and 2 days of rain. Cannot complain as we had a fab time. Back home now, unpacked and sat relaxing waiting for DH to come back with takeaway tea. Making progress on the stocking stuffers for us all. Wrote some dates in diary to start looking at pantos, booking tea with santa etc. Even planned an evening out with each child so they can do their own christmas shopping.
Will catch up with the thread and post later x
  • Hope your Mum is on the mend Peppa! At least they caught the pneumonia, hopefully a few days rest will set her on a positive mend.

I've been rummaging through my moving boxes looking for the remote control for my TV. I moved out of my room in a London flat back in August 2015, then had everything in storage for over a year while me and DH looked for a house (living with respective parents in the meantime), we finally bought this one back in December and moved in in March, but of course after 18 months in storage I can't remember where I packed anything, including the remote for the TV.

However rummaging has meant that I've discovered two half-used boxes of Christmas cards, and a pack of glittery gold gifttags. I've started using one of my moving boxes as a Christmas box so they're now tucked away in there safely and hopefully I won't forget them! My order arrived from the website that was having a sale, I decided to keep the little dish for myself in the end (it's ideal for my wedding and engagement rings) but the print is now also saved in the Christmas box.

This month I want to be sensible about setting aside some money for Christmas things, as this is our first house we don't have any decorations for the tree, or even a budget for the tree, so I'd like to sort out savings for that now before November suddenly appears and all I have to show for it is moths in my purse XD

  • I used to love shopping for stationary, I don't know why but I am obsessed with notebooks. Every shop I go in I seem to come out with another notebook. Can you get a notebook addiction?:rotfl:Peppa I hope you are ok.

The Christmas stuff on QVC looks better than the selection last year but I didn't order anything. I have decided I am going to buy the poppy bird feeders where 50p goes to the royal British legion for my grandad. I will get some other bird feeding stuff to go with it and some gardening bits as he loves gardening. So he's nearly finished. I am going to get my aunt and uncle the Marie Curie daffodil bird feeder and will get some bird seed to go with it, I have already bought them a slate sign. So they will be finished as well. I like getting gifts where some of the money goes to charity.

I had my arthritis uk Christmas card catalogue through the post today so I will have a browse later. I like to buy cards from a different charity each year.

Ended up going to IKEA today and while I was there was going to buy some little memory card games I'd seen online for £3.50 ...well little was the word  they'd were for some Xmas gifts for next year but no way could I just give those without looking stingy, so off the list they promptly went. Can get similar things in tk maxx for a little more but are so much better.

Hi everyone, thank you all for your good wishes for Mum. She's on the mend thank goodness and we're just hoping the delirium doesn't return although apparently it can come and go. They're going to review her on Monday so fingers crossed. At the moment hospital visiting is taking up most of the day.

Wow, everyone seems to be doing really well on the pressie front. I was in Home Bargains today getting mum some flannels and I decided to do a 'natural' themed pamper hamper for one if the Christmas pressies so I bought a few bits to go in it and felt really pleased with myself. I thought my Christmas mojo had gone but it turns out it was just waiting for July after all. :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Evening everyone, I had a lovely surprise today, I have been quite down the last few days as I had run out of my ADs and DD1 came in today with a Pandora bag and said it would cheer me up, inside were 6 beautiful Christmas charms to start a Christmas bracelet off :j I had mentioned that you PEPPAPIG had a Christmas one and I thought it was cute so she obviously saw how I would love one and bought these for me, needless to say I have been happy happy all day. Tomorrow we are off out to a psychic fair tomorrow to get some crystals and have a reading then DD1 is treating me to lunch out at Miller and Carter, she has been trying to get me to go for a year, then we are coming back home where Thumper and DD2 will be, I cant wait for cuddles, so really looking forward to tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

PEPPAPIG so glad your mum is doing well, I hope the review goes well on Monday for her
