  • Hi, well I wanted to give a little update. We exchanged contracts this morning and removal van is booked for Monday, I thought it would never happen (well it hasn’t just yet). Because of all the extra expenses things will be taking a while to decorate/renovate but I’ve set a goal of having it all done by November next year. That will also be my weight loss goal and we will have the best Christmas 2018. Obviously we will have a cosy Christmas this year and mainly try and just relax.
Downside in moving Monday, no internet until the 7th apart from some phone data.
So fingers crossed Monday happens x

Fab news GYD.Thats a relief. It's a pain not having internet, mind this time next year you will be all sorted.

Free, hahahaha.have seen loads of big bushy tinsel in the shops this year.

I have got to stop going out! Since I was last on I have bought some gold bead stars,a vintage flock bambi from the chazzer and a very kitch thing that I dont even know what it is! It is like those vintage glass ornaments in the shape of soldiers and figures. It's a bowl/container. Who knows, its bright and shiny and tacky.Think I will look for a chunky candle to put in it.

Congratulations to your Daughter murie on her Graduation. Not long now until your trip.

I would like to see your santa suit knit too Mrs I.Have a great time in old York.

Sorry to hear of so many poorly people.Had DD2 off school today. She has had a sickness bug/cold.Mr v has the worst cough ever.He has had it months. Been to Dr and also had a chest x ray but nothing shows up.Get well soon everybody.

I am crocheting a blanket, cream and grey. I have decided to use up my stash of craft stuff before buying more.My x stitch of some mice in bed is done.Have palmed that off onto my Mum to do the night before Christmas sewn verse for me.2 Christmas tree skirts made and two big tins painted .one as gingerbread man and one as Rudolf, these I use to put cutlery in at buffets. I have also made a small tree full of stuff for a sale for the Salvation Army.I need to stop crafting and do some cleaning.

Ordered a massive pork pie today for Mr V's birthday. The butcher writes a pastry message on them.DD is also making him a cake.

DD2 had an interview at a catering college and has been offered a place for next year. She is excited about it.I went for a look round just for a nosy as the college used to be a hospital where I worked in 1975!

    Vx

Wish I could say that! This weekend involves sorting what I have, I am completely lost since I mislaid the notebook I had everything in. Glad you found your friend's gift.

Had my new sofas delivered yesterday, so currently have 4 in my living room, as I managed to pull a muscle in my back when moving the old ones, brother coming tomorrow to shift them with me. Hopefully, they will go sooner rather than later next week, currently have bids on Ebay. Had them listed on Gumtree and had someone who wanted them, but instinct said it was a scam, checked my friend Google and it came up there:mad:

GYD, glad you are finally moving.

Mrs I, congrats on new bub in family. One of the guys at work has number 2 on the way, asked their little boy if he would like a little brother or sister, "no thank you" and went back to playing! At least they have a few months to get him used to the idea, not as if it can be sent back:rotfl:

Murie, you managed to sort Christmas card swap? Glad you had a good graduation, it is such a special day. My mum missed mine, so it is only my dad & I in my photos.

Free, I need to sort recipes that are SW friendly, I don't want to go off plan too much. Have committed to being off on the day itself, but want to stay within plan as much as I can, but as I will be in Ireland, it may be a little more difficult, although I think I will invest in a slowcooker for my mum, that may help a little.

GTQ which one did you get? DH ordered me a Radley tote for Christmas. It came yesterday and it's gorgeous but the straps aren't long enough to go over my shoulder and it hasn't got the Radley leather smell so it's going to have to go back to JL. I'm going to look for another one though, I love a good Radley.

Apologies for being awol, I'm reading but I've done something to my eye and I've now got cream but I've got to rest it so tv and screen time is rationed. :( I'm almost done on the pressie front though and quite a lot were delivered on Wednesday as we visited family and won't see them again before Christmas. Def on track to be finished and wrapped by the end of November.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Well brother sent me a link to what he wanted to finish his Christmas present off and that is now ordered so now just need other half to buy the one gift voucher left to buy and think that is everything all done bar one small bottle of wine and one photo to be printed. Not doing anything else. Bank balance now needs to stay the same for the next four weeks :rotfl:

Peppa sorry you are having trouble with your eye. Hope the cream helps. No deliveries done here...most of that will get done when I finish work on Christmas Eve as see everyone then anyway.

Vulpix- that sounds like my DH's dream birthday cake!!

GTQ- yes I am still compiling the list of those who want to take part- not so many of us this year. I will send everyone their 'swaps' details at the beginning of next week if that's Ok with everyone as I don't think there will be any more 'takers'. Nothing like a new handbag to lift the spirits-enjoy x

Peppa- get better soon or the new bag wont get a 'look in'!

Stokie- I feel the same about my bank balance!
