Gosh, l cant keep up!! well done to those who have their trees up, and to those who know what they are doing. l fit neither camp at the moment. l don't think l have the black dog, but l am struggling a bit. My PIP result came back and was not good, so l am trying to put together a letter asking for a mandatory reconsideration, with the appropriate evidence, and it is harder than it looks, so l am all meh.
DDIL has sent me a list of wants for Christmas, but there is so little on it, and most of it l have already got them, so thinking cap for me.
BUT wait for it........ baby Logan was born on Tuesday night 8lbs 1oz of gorgeousness. Fave cos (the granny) can hardly speak she is so chuffed.
they brought him to see me yesterday and asked if l could knit him a santa suit and hat with a beard!. so of course l said yes, so will have to look out patterns.(l am my own worst enemy, but l will enjoy this challenge, when l can get started on it.0 -

freespirit66 wrote: »Afternoon everyone, I only have one tree now and its decorated with Red, Bright Green and White, but I am a bit bored this year and was thinking the Frozen colours (the film) of a pale blue, a dark blue and pink and white (I know totally bonkers I don't know where it came from) but anyway I cant find anything so will probably end up with the usual. Does anyone know how I can watch Christmas films as my sky box isn't working does anyone watch any on Nowtv, Amazon Prime, or Netflix?
it was either primark or poundland but one of them have baubles in frozen type colours as dd was looking at a pale blue/pink/silvery set the other day but ended up going with purple & bright blue from poundland
netfix do have a few xmas movies so might be worth a look
we have traditional red/gold/green in the living room tried swapping it a few years ago but just didn't feel the same so went back to the usual. Last couple of years we've had nordic red/white in the hallway though I'm quite liking the copper/rose gold that seems to be very popular this year so might change those not sure yet
the kids have their own mini trees this year dd has picked purple & blue Taz has blue & silver and ds is sticking with his usual green & gold
MrsI congrats on the birth of baby Logan lots of reason to celebrate with a new baby in the family just in time for xmas good luck with the knitting. Sorry the pip didn't go well
Well taz well and truly shared his germs with me luckily not the stomach part but seriously I feel lousy almost flu like and a bit guilty that I made him go to school earlier in the week when he first said he felt unwell.
Little bit peeved as felt so rough today I totally forgot about the kevin carrot toy and now its sold out I also missed the 1/2 price yankee candle advent calendar
Forgot to say the other day but M&S had the 1st of the xmas tins 1/2 price I say xmas as its part of the range but it was the woodland scene one so while pretty not really xmassy. Hopefully that means the musical tree one will go on offer soon.
Get well wishes for anyone who's not feeling well as there seems to be lots going round

FREE, MANDCO is right I think it was Primark. Was also in Home Bargains today and they had small angels to hang on the tree in pink and think it was purple but could have been blue (memory not what it was lol), they were £1.99 for four - I bought some in silver. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

I don't really have a colour scheme. Nothing I have matches, I just get the kids to chuck it all on. It's a mix of handmade decs by the kids, old decs ive had for years, some nice glass ones my mum gave me, and ones ive picked up over the last couple of years. I love individual baubles that have caught my eye or have a special meaning to me. The only thing that matches is the white/silver Tinsel I have on it that is also on my pictures in the living room etc.
My tree is a bit tacky, but it makes me feel good every year to see it all there. As we unwrap each bauble we usually have a wee chat about where we got it fom, or who gave us it, or when they made it etc.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I am sick to the back teeth of my internet dropping out all the time, just lost an individual reply post to you all.AGAIN!
Loving the decoration talk.

Nic- we are the same, my tree is an eclectic mix of baubles in all shapes, sizes and colours that have individual meaning to us. I admit it looks a bit hodge podge but I love it that way. Our tree growing up was always multi-coloured lights , red and gold tinsel and red/green baubles. And we always had those foil garlands on the ceiling that made opening and closing the living room door difficult cus they used to hang down so low!
Hugs to all those that are feeling poorly and have either succumbed to the nasty bugs floating around or are not as happy as they usually are because of RL x.lovin' this site!
