Hello everyone.
Another person to add to the ill list! One of my ears is doing the weird thing it did nearly a year ago - muffled, full feeling with echoes whenever people talk. It's driving me up the wall. Hopefully it will bog off in a few days. :rotfl:
Got everything I need for Mum's advent calendar. I've wrapped 16/25 so far. I'm doing a few at a time so I don't get too tired.
Went to one of the big local 'destination' garden centres today. The Christmas tree displays were amazing but bordering on the ridiculous.Decided I need some of those fairy lights on really thin wires with star LEDs for my bedroom after seeing some instore. Looking for some cheaper ones online though. :money:
Can't believe how close we are to December. November is whizzing by!“In 900 years of time and space, I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important”

Hugs for all the poorlies amongst us x
I have been reading but not posting and as usual the longer I leave it between posting the less I remember of who has said or done what so apologies for that.
The thread is really picking up now that we are on the home straight and it seems as if most of us are nearly finished our present shopping so now we can concentrate on getting our decorations sorted. There are two trees up in our road already ! I bought two sets of glass baubles from Aldi and have put them on my glitter tree already so I suppose you could say I have already started on my decorations. (Plus DH hasn't noticed them yet so I think I can get away with it).
Nothing festive planned this weekend but next week is DDs Gradation ceremony, then at the weekend we are going to a craft fair, the weekend after its the Good Food Show and a few days after that we are off to Prague, with a theatre trip and a festive afternoon tea treat in between -ooh I'm getting excited now.
Is anyone else interested in the Christmas card swap, if so pm me your details.
Hope everyone has a productive weekend xxlovin' this site!

Watching Christmas 24 today - lots of the usual films but just watched A Heavenly Christmas and thought it was good. Not a new story but nicely made and stars Kristin Davies (Charlotte from SATC). It was Christmassy too, not just a story so worth a watch. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Eep, my Christmas tree Is half up!
I know it's too early, even for me. But my dad had given it to me in July when he moved to a smaller house. He wasn't sure if it was all there as he had a few trees in the loft. So I wanted to see it up and check it was all there. And also to see if my lights will fit on. I'm not sure they will. But it's up and looks great. It's a nice wide 6ft green one. Ive had the slim 5ft black one for 11 years. It's nice to have a change. But I have always loved my tree.
I have pushed it into the corner and put the 2 glass baubles on it to see them working. But not going to decorate it til next weekend. It is a bit weird having it sitting there all bare lol.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

I enjoyed it too. One of my favourites on christmas 24 is a very merry mix up. Ive seen it's been on already, so I need to keep an eye out.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
We haven't got any kind of tree yet, but we popped in to Dunelm today and I came away with a box of navy blue Christmas baubles. DH mentioned that he could tolerate a blue and gold Christmas tree, so I guess that'll be the colour theme! Shame about the green and white baubles I've already bought, but they'll keep until next year XD"You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

No reason why you can’t use your green and white baubles in another room, maybe displayed in bowls or glasses on shelves. I like to have a red and gold scheme in the living room, a silver, green and white scheme in the dining room and anything goes in the hall! One life - your life - live it!0

And the winner of the 'who will put their tree up first?' competition is NIC
. I must admit I nearly put mine together this week because I wasn't sure if I had all the bits for the second tree but I didn't do it because I knew I wouldn't bear to take it apart again and the house isn't ready for the tree to go up yet.
Welcome to the thread NARGLEBLAST.
I've started on the Christmas Heroesreally fancied chocolate and didn't want to go to the shop. I'm so weak.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
