Afternoon everyone,
PEPPAPIG That is just what DD2 is going through, people saying oh its just a toddler thing, NO it isn't! It is nothing like a toddler thing. Even her in laws who are lovely people and absolutely dote on him have made her feel as if she is imagining it all. I am glad DGS is doing well and getting the support and help that he needs, that is fantastic that he is verbal now. Thumper is really good with his speech but he repeats what you say a lot, although slower than other toddlers to get to where he is now he has done so well. Thankyou for the kind offer I will let DD2 know. Have a great weekend!
GIRLINAYELLOWDRESS yes I thought of you and all the fighting you have had to do for DS, its such a shame that he didn't get the help earlier that he needed. Although they are not allowed to say anything, his Nursery have spoke to her about different things he does and can and cant cope with and they agree with DD2 for suspecting autism, thankyou for the advice. I hope DS is well and coping with all the upheaval and waiting around!
3FORHOLIDAYS thankyou I hope he does get a good team to support him
PATENTGIRL yes that is what I have said to DD2 all along trust your instincts
KPWLL oh what bad luck! You didn't waste anyones time it was lovely of you to let people know
MANDCO it does take too long for these diagnoses to happen that is why I told DD2 to keep at it, badgering them. I hope Taz gets there soon and then you will know how best to help him. I don't think the JL ad is very Christmassy either and my first thought was  to kids that worry about monsters under the bed!
VULPIX thankyou, I need to do a big clean as well. I was supposed to be following the HHP but it never happened this year and nothing has been done towards getting rooms ready for Christmas
MRSMONEYPENNY my DD1 said that she didn't understand the ending either
SAMMYKAYE I haven't seen the argos Christmas ad yet??

Urghhh the Christmas week rotas have hit at work. Think they will change but not overly impressed with mine. Just have to think of the extra money I guess haha. Am already doing extra most weeks now and getting less time with other half. Have had a big vent at them about it a few weeks ago and nothing has changed yet so will leave it to New Year now but if doesn't change I will take my complaint further as getting me down.
Not a massive fan of the JL advert...it just doesn't give me any Christmas feels. Quite like Kevin The Carrot and his pea'd himself line :rotfl:
Hope everyone is having an ok Saturday.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -
Good Morning Christmas lovelies,
How is everybody's Christmas prep going? I am going to crack on and get some Christmas prep started. I will start the Christmas clean and clear out this week and go shopping next weekend. I may see if my mum and sister fancy a ladies day out to Cheshire Oaks. Got so much to get. Have got the money for all the vouchers now so may nip out and get all of them this week. Have said I will take the kids Christmas shopping too, we will go late night shopping and they will have £30 each (£10 for each of us) so they can choose a gift to give to each of us. Just been reminded about our dog! so they each want to buy the dog a gift too:rotfl:
Work is manic! We finish in just over 5 weeks, cannot wait for the time off.
Cannot believe Christmas eve is 6 weeks today!
Got hospital appt soon, not looking forward to that. Symptoms still there but no worse.
Anyway I am still happily looking for a tree. Hubby things I will settle for a limp, cheap looking tree. Oh how wrong could he be!;)0 -
Stockiebecks- Yes they are the right Christmas Wrapping dates xx Hope we can all make the 25th November date. Im hoping I have most of my gifts bought by then and then I can just wrap and enjoy the rest of the festive season x0

Mum and I are going Cheshire Oaks on Monday
- always look forward to it even though I do very little Christmas shopping when we meet up.
Still need to buy something else for my brother, my dad, get the bits for my grandads hamper, buy a voucher for other half's son to finish his present off (I was stupid and missed it being on offer haha) and then find a token present for my two god kids (boy 15 and girl 10) - have to try keep the postage costs down for the last two.
Probably need a few more bits for other half too but pick them up as and when I see them as also got his birthday soon.
Must stop buying decorations now. Apart from tinsel I think I have plenty now :rotfl: :rotfl:
Six weeks blimey coming round super fast and so excited. Don't think we will ever beat last Christmas Eve as when we were on our way home from visiting my Dad we saw Santa and his sleigh at a car wash place. And no we hadn't been drinking£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -

So, I know I wasn't going to mention my house sale anymore but I need to rant and you lovely ladies will listen. So we had a cash buyer in July and put an offer in for a bungalow, everything was accepted stc. We had complications after complications over land etc from we were buying (parish council). Our house had damp apparently even though certification was there and our buyer never got a surveyor but we agreed to drop the price by fourteen thousand. Solicitor was always "sick" and it was a nightmare getting through to her. So long story short, Thursday night a letter came through the door to say the school opposite were having building works and plans will go up next year. Yesterday was exchange day for contracts, me and DS in doctors surgery, we get a call from estate agent saying buyers want us to drop price by another ten thousand, bl00dy exchange day! I have no money. My blood pressure went sky high, DS had his hydroxocobalamin injection and it bled quite a bit so caused him distress as his blood pressure was up, by the time I had mine not only did it bleed it pumped all the medication back out and my arm is a bruised mess. Went to my mums to calm and DS insisted we used the money he had saved for an all terrain wheelchair so I called the estate agent and the buyer agreed he'd accept five thousand drop instead of ten. Then the buyer came out with the classic line of "we want to exchange and complete on the 24th, because that's the day we come off our holiday". Talk about ignorance.
I've no idea what's going to happen and I would of told them all ages ago where to stick it if it wasn't the fact that the bungalow we want is so perfect for DS's needs.
Anyway, I know you lovely lot keep me going but I think especially Chrissy and Peppa, my god you've made me smile and see sense at times. I so owe you both xx
Now, Christmas, I feel like Margo Leadbetter "Christmas has not been delivered to our house". (You have to be a certain age to appreciate that quote).
I'll keep reading but doubtful I'll post for a while x0 -
Well, I thought I was doing OK Christmas wise until last night. I've gradually been getting mainly family presents as the weeks have passed, but thought I'd hit on a stroke of genius by getting a friend's children personalised books. (He is more a friend of my husbands, but this still doesn't excuse what happens next.) He came over last night, and during the course of the conversation, I realised with a dull thud that I had got one of the children's names wrong. If I can find the receipt, hopefully I'll be able to rectify that today, but I felt so embarrassed.
I've not yet seen many of the Christmas adverts either, only really seen the M&S advert, which I thought was really lovely.0 -
Dear lord, GIYD, what a pain, buyers from hell, what a super DS, though to offer his all terrain money.
l hope that it is plain sailing from now on. They don't deserve to have such an understanding and patient seller, but Karma is slow and certain for them, and for yourself, good Karma is built in.0 -
Thank you Mrs-I , deep down I think they will pull out on 24th. But expect the worse I suppose x0
