Bore da pawb!
Feeling fresh & chilly here in Wales.
My flavourly beer arrived over the weekend which will provide the majority of the food & drink hamper I'm giving to the old man for Christmas, just need to find some nice food to go in there. I think its only my mam that I've really got left to get now.
Finally sorted arrangements with my ex wife for Christmas, so I am having Christmas day on Christmas eve this year.
I seem to be in the minority here but I really like the JL advert, I think its very sweet.Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0 -
Oakdene - my flavourly box came too, really impressed with it!!
Hi everyone, been another manic week! My mum has told me that we are having 13 people and 2 dogs over for Christmas so it is going to be super busy in our household! Can't wait though, love family time! The light switch one was really good, made me feel really Christmassy! I've reached a blank now for presents, seem to be getting nowhere so will try and get out this weekend and hopefully be done by the end of November. I also haven't seen any of the ads other than the Aldi one with the carrot because I don't really watch that much TV either.
Hope everyone is well and feeling Christmassy!!0 -

Noswaith dda!
Its definitely feeling festive in South Wales with all the frost this morning and the nip in the air - loving it!
Well very little prep has been done here today. I did sit down yesterday though and write out my Christmas cards for one of the Christmas forums that I am on and I have stuff ready for an ornament swap ready to go so I will wrap them later and post it tomorrow I think along with my welsh Christmas card:D:D
Work in Argos is picking up with people buying Christmas presents. Loving it - although the hours that I am in are leaving very little time for me to actually sit and wrap or do much more else. I am off this Saturday which is when our Father Christmas arrives in town to his grotto so I think I might take the kids along to it and let them do the dogs Christmas shopping nice and early.
His theme this year is Elves and Unicorns :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: then the lights are switched on on the 1st December so might take them to that as well.
Aside from that the NEC Bike show is fast approaching - Im looking forward to it so I can finally see my husbands face when I buy him the jacket he has wanted for the last 8 months :j:j thats his main present done then and I just have a few more bits to pick him up.
So Im getting there.Time to find me again0 -
FREE it's Aspley Guise, can't believe you and PK have both been to Woburn Sands, I always think other people will never have heard of it. I'll put the kettle on next timeIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

peppapig ..I've definitely heard of Woburn Sands, it's one of a few places me an OH will consider moving to when we properly look in the next year or so. We live in north MK at the moment
So sorry for being AWOL again over the past few days. We lost all water the other day and have had a lot of stressful phone calls to deal with. Then last night a faulty pipe went under the sink (probably under the unusual pressures from the temporary water supply they've given us until pump is fixed), so we had a water leak all over the kitchen. OH ran and turned off the stop !!!! and thankfully plumber has fixed it today. It all happened late last night, so I can't imagine the state the kitchen/home would be in if I didn't hear it straight away and we were in bed for the night!
I live high up in a block of flats too, so I would have flooded the block! So that was fun staying up for ages mopping up...
So Christmas has been on hold again. Feel like I haven't been able to focus on it for weeks now and really want some free time to sort it all out. Fingers crossed I can do so this week sometime0 -
...just realised my post contained a rude word I can't say on here! Not that I was intending to be rude... Hopefully you can guess the word!0

Yes that's it,when we drove through Woburn Sands the second time it was absolutely heaving, lots of families around we think it was Father Christmas arriving!#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
Mrs I,hahaha I must have subconsciously wanted you to be jetting off to New York. The first York is lovely though.
Alja, good grief. You can do without it all, what a pain. Hope things are sorted now.
Peppa I have heard of Woburn Sands but I have never been.It must be exclusive if you n Kevin W are living there.
I have started picking up Christmas food now.Nuts n nibbles n stuff.I have got the Birthday Party desserts to sort out first. Think I will do a chocolate fountain, trifle, banoffee pie and pavlova.Plus Birthday cake.Hope that's enough for 50 people.Hmm doesnt sound enough now I write it down.Perhaps a tiramisu as well.
Vx
PS I think I have lost 2lbs.Not sure as my scales are the clock type and I can't see properly.I need digital.:0 -
ALJA we're almost neighbours then. Sounds like you've had a rotten time, hope it's all sorted soon.
VULPIX I don't think Kev is quite as interested in me as I am in himbut I haven't given up hope - after all I've only lived here ten years and I've already seen him twice
. Greg Rutherford used to live round the corner to me too but I didn't get as excited when I saw him. Your desserts sound delicious btw and well done on the 2lbs.
Well I thought I'd more or less finished wrapping but it turns out DD will need me to wrap all of DGD's pressies (they're stored here) because she won't be up now until Christmas so I can join in the wrapping party after all.
I bought the Primarni vouchers today so finished the older 'children' and I got DD1 some HP socks to go with her tour tickets so she's done too. DD2 is having a very expensive tracksuit but I can't get it yet because she needs to go to the shop first and try it on so I know which size to get but at least I know what I'm getting her. I've really only got 2 of the littlies to get now and I don't know what I'm getting either of them yet. Oh and a couple of little bits to finish but other than that I'm done.
Who's going to be the first on here to put their tree up? I'm thinking first week in December for me.It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
