This has been a busy week, thank you all for the kind birthday wishes, l had a lovely day.
I don't watch much TV so have seen none of the adverts, they all compete to be the best in the hope that you will spend your dosh with them, l suppose. l think they would do better to make an ad simply saying that they were donating the cost of their Christmas ad to charity and hope that customers agree that it is a better use of their money. l would certainly try to spend my cash with them then.
Our new baby is late, l blame the cold weather, wish he would hurry up cos l need cuddle time.
DGN had her first haircut this week, another milestone.
Christmas trip to York is only 11 days away, can hardly wait, even though l don't think l will be able to spend much as l don't know what to buy. (Are
you listening? DDIL?, send me the list soon)!
Bright sunshine, but cold today, so may get a bit more outside tidying done, or l may stay in and de-cobweb. (l pretend l leave them to make Halloween more authentic, but it has been and gone).
Somehow, this year, l am just as enthusiastic for Christmas, but my energy mojo is at rock bottom, l guess l am feeling my age.
Today l will write my Christmas food list, and see what l can cungour up for the vegan.Have a lovely day. xx0 -

Hi just whizzing in again! As some of you who follow me on Instagram know we had to have a paramedic out to our house in the middle of the night the other day as Wiggle had severe breathing difficulties and then DH had to cart him off to A&E for hours, turns out it was croup and once he’d calmed down his breathing became more regulated thankfully. Was flippin’ scary at the time though! Anyway since then we have all got colds and between Wiggle and Squeak they have been keeping us up for most of the night for the last week so we’re running a bit on empty here and I haven’t had chance to keep up with the thread.
Somehow I have managed to keep going with my Christmas shopping, although it seems like every time I cross an item off my list I then add another one for one reason or another! One day I will cross everything off! This might have already been mentioned but Tesco have got loads of half price advent calendars for £1 including Cadbury’s, Mars, Galaxy and Maltesers. I picked up a couple of Cadbury ones for DH and I so we’re all sorted now as I already have Wiggle’s.
I have tuned into Magic Christmas on my kitchen radio and in the car so I have a constant supply of Christmas music! I’ve been trying to get on with my wrapping although usually I love wrapping in December when everything is really Christmassy, so the other day I got myself a hot chocolate, set up one of the ‘Winter Scenes’ from Sky on my TV of snow out of a window and put some carols from Kings on, it was lovely.
Those of you doing Hot Chocolate Stations when do you set yours out? I’m really eager to get mine out as it’s so cold now but am thinking I might wait until the last weekend of November to set mine up.
freespirit you would have been near me too staying in Milton Keynes, we popped there on Friday actually to do a bit of shopping but it was soooo busy! I’m so glad your DD pushed for an assessment of Thumper, that way he can get the right help/guidance he needs bless him.
Peppa are you anywhere near Woburn Sands? We drove through it on the way home and I had no idea there were so many little shops there! I thought it was a little suburb of Woburn and wouldn’t have anything in it.
GIYD I am so angry/frustrated for you! I hate the way some people have no conscience and keep pushing for more and more. When dealing with estate agents they seem to forget that it affects real people and their lives. I do hope this is all over for you soon and that you get that perfect bungalow.0 -
Yes PRINCESSKITTY, I actually live in Woburn Sands - you'll have to pop in for tea next time
We've got some nice little shops but we're a bit heavy on places to eat and hairdressers but if you want to trim your licks and stuff your face were hard to beat lol Sorry to hear about Wiggle being poorly, it must have been really scary for you all, thank goodness it turned out to be something that can be dealt with at home.
GYD I can't tell you what I'd like to do to your buyers (not on a nice forum like this anyway) and I bet you really wanted to tell them where to go. You could call their bluff and say you want exchange before they go on hols - if they say no then you're probably right and they were probably going to pull out on 24th anyway. I still believe things will work out for you and I agree with VULPIX, karma will get their greedy little bottoms  We'll all be rooting for you.
MRSINVISIBLE glad you had a lovely birthday. I'm the same, I'm enthusiastic for the festive season but I seem to be suffering from a lack of actually doing anything.
CREATIVEGAL I can only say oopshope you can sort it out but at least you found out before you gave it to them.
We've had a lovely weekend away with DSis and DBIL but looking forward to my own pillow tonight. Hope we all gave a lovely festive week. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Hope the house stuff goes smoothly from here for you GYD ...so frustrating for you. House sales and moving is stressful enough when it all goes smoothly never mind when there are extra worries.
Came home tonight and there was a new oven in the kitchen (it's not new but new for us) and even better is it hasn't cost us anything (although it doesn't sit well with me not giving them something for it as it is in lovely condition and they could have got some money for it so no doubt I will buy them a little something as they wouldn't accept cash)
Shopping trip with my mum tomorrow so need to look at my train times and get my bags and spends ready to go as do not want to be faffing early in the morning haha£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -

I remember someone asked me to keep them posted about the fitbits?
Amazon have the fitbit charge 2 for £99.99
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01KSX3G7C/ref=afx_dp_egress?ie=UTF8&fpl=fresh&th=1
but if you are in an amazon fresh area (unfortunately I am not) you can get one for £69.99 with a code through the HUKD thread here https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/fit-bit-charge-2-6999-with-code-amazon-fresh-2825899
I have bought the £99.99 one thinking that if they do drop for black friday I can return it to Amazon and rebuy it
Also I had a bit of a good luck on friday! went shopping at Ald1 and was having a look in their non foody stuff and found one of the gingerbread house advent calendars they sell for £8.99! I have never managed to get one before as they give each shop such limited stock! certainly didn't think i'd get one a week after they released them  It's the second one down on this blog if anyone wants to see

Vulpix, sorry, don't be disappointed, it is York UK not New York USA.
Yesterday did not go as planned, DGS and his dad came up and chainsaw massacred next door neighbours garden, so l was directing operations. (neighbour wanted the garden hacked down, so was pleased to see them done).0
