Evening everyone, I can officially say I have finished all my Christmas presents :j:j I have had two Christmas shopping days out with DD1 this week as she is on leave and smashed it. I have also got their new PJs, Christmas scratchcards, gold coins for the pots of gold. I just need to sort it all out it is all over the place in my bedroom atm.

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY thankyou yes I am well my lovely, we got the 3 Yankee Candles in Costco too, fab bargain! Glad all your cakes are baked and you have one for yourself

MURIE I have heard of Tarte make up I'm sure DD will love it. I have put all DD1s lush stuff inside the bag and in a gift bag I'm sure she will like it. She is currently walking around with the Molten Brown tattoos on :rotfl::rotfl:

NEWTHRIFT/FEISTY hi ladies hope the littluns are doing well

SAMMYKAYE I don't envy your postage costs for all those cards :o

STOKIEBECKS we didn't have any trick or treaters last night

VULPIX omg my DS would have loved a HP themed afternoon tea, I love the sound of the Polar Express one as well

My goodness Free - finished already?! A big well done to you!

    Happy Birthday Peppa xxx

Well you are all obviously a very good influence as I wrapped my first Christmas gift this evening! It's a little people farm set for DD that we picked up preloved for £9. I was a terrible Mummy and got DD to "help" to keep her occupied. She has no idea what it is though as it's in a plain brown box. I've got a few more bits to wrap and update my present list!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes everyone, I've had a lovely day, fab pressies and flowers and been thoroughly spoilt starting with breakfast in bed. DH took me out for lunch and then we went to B&M and Home Bargains (yay) and I managed to finish off several people's Christmas pressies. Plus when we got home Mum's birthday necklace had arrived and so did littlest DGS's Christmas pressie so a very successful day! Think I'll do some more wrapping tonight, a perfect end to a perfect day :D

I too love this time of year! I have my first Yankee Christmas tart burning and the house is all cosy in the lamplight!

    Bore da pawb.

Haha I have candles every night when its dark - always makes me feel cosy.

Had a great idea to split down the craft beer set (as posted a page or two ago) & make a food & drink hamper for my folks - also means I can sample a can or two of it.

Im quite impressed that I've almost done it all now. Still struggling for my son, I miss the days when he would sit & go through the Argos catalogue circling everything in site.

I literally can't wait for the night when I light the fire, put the mulled wine on, sit in front of the tree & wrap the presents.

Getting a little chillier here too day by day.

  • Wow this thread is motoring now!! Still at a standstill with presents, waiting for list from DDIL, but still have several to wrap.
Peppa, glad you had a lovely day for your birthday. I bet Kevin was breathless with excitement at meeting you, lucky man.
Feisty it is lovely to see you posting again. Littlies say the loveliest things and their cuddles.... well, need l say more?
DGS birthday today, 15, will see him later, after school to do his cards and presents. The tradition in the family is that the birthdayer stands on a chair holding their candle lit cake, while we sing happy birthday, but if he does that he will knock himself out on the ceiling!
Had loads of trick or treaters at Halloween, all dressed up, and happy.
Free well done you , ready for Christmas 7 weeks before the event.
Sunshine today, so l am going to get some tidying up outside done. xx
  • Squatters have been officially evicted! I am so happy.

Waiting for sofa bed to be delivered, and had an email from Studio to say that my delivery will be today, really pleased about that as they would only deliver to home, so having today off has worked out well. Hopefully they will be both here sooner rather than later as I would like to have a pedicure, want to clean the windows (had insides done by 9, but afraid to do outside in case I don't hear the doorbell), go to Costco as my hairdresser forgot to tell me she couldn't come last night so is coming on Tuesday, which was the day I planned to go to Costco & have to weigh in. Been struggling, but am determined to lose another 1/2 stone before Christmas, which is achievable.

Off to sort my bedroom now, have a warm day :D
