Coxy, yikes! Follow that up.Not what you expect from a nice homemade cake.

I can't remember the time for the wrapping but 8pm sounds good to me.

GYD Hows tricks? Have you moved yet?

I have had about an hours sleep. Phone call from DS at 12:45 to say he had crashed my car. Mr V went to collect him as the mini wasn't driveable. DS was fine only because 1. He was doing 40 in a 50 limit and 2.He had not been drinking. The brakes failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily no damage to him or more importantly the paintwork.Car left in situ in the wilds as it was filthy weather to try and sort the bashed up wheel.Visit from Police at 3am,Mr V to work at 5am.Given up on sleep now and am toying with the idea of cleaning the kitchen.Musn't be too hasty, perhaps just put some washing on.

    Kids!

VULPIX glad your son is ok, that must have been a horrible phone call to get. Hope you get some sleep.

Loving all of the bargains on this forum...the matchmakers and toblerone chat is making me hungry!

Hoping to do a little Christmas shopping today. Have a great day.

 Vulpix! glad your son is ok though, that must have scared the bejesus out of him!

Right I shall sort out my ipad and hopefully be with you all at 8pm (even just to chat to you all as it all depends on DD and her nosiness ;) despite 8pm being her bedtime she has a sixth sense for present wrapping and will no doubt be calling me because she 'cant sleep' or she 'heard a funny noise' :o

Ooo Stokie, i'll go see if I can find the little ones as I dont think my lot will care what size as long as its white (fussy so and so's they are!) and then if I can get the bigger ones later then its just a double bonus :D

Thinking about poundland, I need to start stocking up on their own brand after eights (and a box of the turkish delight thins for my mum) we MUCH prefer them to the real ones, much thicker and can easily demolish a box between us just making a cuppa :o

  • Hello,( Mrsl pushes the door open and smiles, hopefully. )
Sorry, been abducted by RL, PIP medicals, Neurosurgeon appointments, Storm damage, freezer failure, you name it, l get it!
However, l have read back and retained a little. Mandco, l must go to card factory, l have always wanted a large chest.
No gingerbread lattes in local poundlands, sorry, will keep eyes peeled.
l like the white toblerone, too, so will investigate them as well.
Craft fairs disappoint me, too, but l have never been attacked by one, dangerous bakewell, yes, send them the bill.
Christmas wise, all is at a standstill, and with DGS on half term this week and his birthday next, cant see it moving much further. I have put the wrapping party on the calendar, so will try not to miss it. so l will have to find things to wrap. Just kids and grandkids to buy for now, so it should get easier.
Waiting now for skype, then l must go shopping as Mother Hubbards cupboard looks like a 5star hotel by comparison to my larder.

    HAPPY SUNDAY!!

x_raphael_xx - take back that matchmakers taste like toothpaste and we can all be friends!! :D

04624181- i just bought the christmasaurus for my little one! Excited to read it to her as she is just over one and starting to really love reading books!! It was one of her first words <3

I shall check Poundland for the gingerbread latte - although i've considered seeing if Starbucks sell the syrup at Christmas time?

I'll give the Toblerone and matchmakers a miss since i went a little CRAY CRAY with Terry's chocolate oranges :D

Christmas is mint and orange matchmakers only for me!! :D Salted Caramel would be like I'm cheating on them!! :rotfl: the only other chocolate i"m allowed it after eights or some selection box goodies :D

Got some Christmas presents for my niece and nephews  Actually think I'm nearly there - I just need to sit down and pull out everything and check I've actually got what I think I have, as some glitter unicorn transfers have went missing so I might need to order them AGAIN!!

I'm in some serious need of some christmas decorations so I focus on that for a bit!!

It was a bit bare last year due to our circumstances - However, this year we will have two trees and I'm determined that it will be more "magical" especially since my little one will actually understand it a bit better this year! Seen a 54 pack in M&S that looked quite nice and reasonable and think i"m going to ransack the range and poundland and B&M :rotfl:

vulpix - just caught up on the rest of this page! THANK GOD :A your boy was okay!! Failed brakes - that is terrifying!!!

I've made a start on stocking fillers today and stuff for our Christmas Eve box from the elves :) The Works have 20% off using the code TODAY20 - hope this helps somebody. There was some Harry Potter stuff too which is for my 10 year old son, wrapping paper etc.

    Hi all,
Vulpix - so sorry to hear about your DS. I had an identical phone call two weeks ago when my DS hit a fence with his mini. We think its a write off but insurance company deliberating. At least DS was okay.
Thanks for the sympathy over my tooth! It's only a small chip and I'm off to the dentist on Weds anyway. Lucky I didn't swallow the ceramic bead as that would've been more painful lol! My Mum said to the lady 'she takes that bead everywhere with her you know....' which made me laugh a lot. I think it was the pta running the cake stall. It was a bit chaotic tbh.
Sad to report that Currys have cancelled the order for my DDs camera. Thought it was too good to be true! Luckily I didn't go to click and collect some of the film needed - almost went this morning but decided I could just get it any time at Argos. Went to Boots today for DS1s champneys gym bag offer of the week but they had sold out. Came home and went online and alsi ordered a Jack Wills sleepover bag for DS1s GF who is here a lot, plus the half price DKNY perfume for me (smelt the tested in store today and its lovely). Shame I wasn't organised enough to get my order in on the additional points day, but heyho.
Got 2 packs of salted caramel matchmakers in £land which have been stashed away along with the 2 x Celebrations tubs that DH got at Co-op last night.
I won't join you with the wrapping because....erm.... I have no paper yet.... But hope you all make some progress.

Afternoon everyone, well went out yesterday armed with a list and my Christmas money and I got about 1 thing on my list. No Christmas scratchcards to be found anywhere, no Reeces Advent Calendars or Elf PJs in BnM, No doughnuts in Sainsburys for a pudding I wanted to make today, no Chocolate Coins I was really disappointed. Then to top it all I finally plucked up the courage to get my flu jab and the pharmacist wasn't in to do them :o:o:o

GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY haha I had to look on the back of my Toffee Nut Latte box this morning thank god it isn't the same :rotfl:

VULPIX I'm so glad your DS is fine, how frightening for him and for you getting the message , hope you have managed to catch up on some sleep

If anyone buys Cadbury's chocolate, selection boxes etc. There is a valid code (on their website) for the next 5 days only.

Enter 'NEWJOY' code at checkout for 10% off. Not a lot but every little helps.
