Snorky my dd has had the mandarin spa stuff before and really liked it she's since brought sets as gifts for her friends so it can't be bad.
.....
Thanks, that makes me feel better. The bottles looked nice and it smelt good but I was worried it was cheap cr*p in disguise.SpekySquarehead wrote: »Are poundland selling wrapping paper and the likes? Was hoping to pick up some bits this weekend and I assume that the most MSE place to go?

Speky, I've had poundland wrapping paper before and it's really thin and tears easily. So no good for funny shaped pressies. But, because of the price, it's perfect for when kids are small and there's loads of gigantic boxes that each need 3 metres to be wrapped.
My other halfs Mum has been asking him what to get me for Christmas, so I've sent him a list, that's my Christmassy activity for today.0 -
Urgh, I don't like the sound of the pork infused coffee..... let's hope it's wrong.
jakes-mum - my mum bought me a pattern, needles and wool for my birthday (along with some other things). I was really pleased with that. Quite when I will get around to making the project mind....need a clone.
I have decided to purchase 2 Green Tea advent calendars from JL. One for me and one for DSis who is (understandly) not looking forward to Christmas. We stopped buying for each other several years ago, but I thought this would be a nice gift as she is into her herbal teas. The loccitane advent is £49 and although I would use all the goodies, I think it's a bit too indulgent. DH will have the cheese one (providing I can get to Asda) and not the virgin wine one he was hoping for!!!
Have just reserved some in ear headphones at Argos for DD (16) as she is always losing hers. Decided not to go for the wireless ones I see some people wearing on my commute each day - £159!!! what if one pinged off and ended up on the tube track... doesn't bear thinking about. Found some pjs for DD, and slippers for mum that I obviously bought in the sales earlier this year, in my present box in the loft.
Thinking 2 x teenage nephews will get giftcards and some sweets/chocs. Are there any offers on giftcards anywhere? I know Tesco and Boots sometimes have 10% off.

I'm at work and bored so I've been online and made a couple of purchases from John Greed from their sale list. A necklace for DD for Christmas and a little something sparkly may just have ended up in the basket for me
Total of £24.47 including delivery so hardly breaking the bank.

Right well spoke to DH and amazingly he thought the yarn idea for his mother was brilliant  so its all ordered now before he can change his mind (and this also meant I could order the yellow I need for DD's HP scarf as well
)
Also managed to get DS a power bank recharger thingy for his phone. is a 16750mah one which I am informed is quite a big one *jakes mum has no idea on these things* which was supposed to be £23.99 but HUKD had a discount code for it bringing it down to £13.99 ish and I had £15 of vouchers from swagbucks making it completely free(and I got DD her 2x2 rubix cube as well for the grand total of 70p!)
SO DS is completely done now,
DD - just Star Wars Cluedo when I get to the city
MIL done,

Nephew Done,
Neice Done,
Mother - still in progress,

Hi all,
Looks like everybody is doing well on the Christmas planning front.
I managed to nip to M*rris*ns today and picked up 2 of the cocktail baubles for Stepsister and Stepmum as they have vouchers but I like to get them a little gift too. M*rris*ns had a couple of toys reduced to £2, its a frozen 8 piece character play set so I picked it up to put in the Christmas gift donations at church. DD picked up at a Disney Belle doll, think barbie style for £2 too.
We nipped into Dunnes and bought her some new clothes then home to see a package had arrived. It was a unicorn keyring for DDs stocking from ebay. Also her volcano making kit had arrived. I have got to pick the order up from The Entertainer in the next few days too. Feel like I am getting somewhere now.
Cannot wait for the next wrapping party, will have a nice pile to start wrapping x0 -
Hi all, can I join? I love Christmas!! :xmastree: It's my favorite time of the year!
I'm working on my lists, I have a couple of crafty ideas that I need to get a move on and actually complete.
My brother is a Zelda fan, so I have a little wooden chest I'm painting to match a Zelda treasure chest, and I'm going to fill it with like chocolate coins & goodies.
One of my friends loves dice, so I have a plain wooden square tissue box I'm going to paint to look like a die. Simple, but effective I hope. (I'm keeping this idea for my bros next birthday, going to paint a tissue box to look like a Mario cube)
I'm stuck on a few people:
Bestie - Likes Steampunk/Art
Mum - Likes gardening
Dad - Food & alcohol
BF - Gaming & food - Got a few ideas, but need many more!
Btw...I love the cheese advent calender! I love the countdown to xmas, but not a chocolate fan. Cheese is right up my alleyBf has already been nagged for one (he's getting an advent calender for the pup, so I think he can get me a cheese one
)

GTQ glad I don't drink coffee if that's what's in it
Welcome to the Christmas happy place RAPHAEL.
I've got a couple of boxes of the salted caramel matchmakers stashed away, daren't let them see the light of day yet. If anyone is going to buy some Home Bargains have them for £1 - I know Tesco did too but not sure if the offer is still on there.
Well we're in wet and windy South Wales. Haven't spotted you yet SAMMYKAYE but wear a flower and carry a copy of anything Christmassy and I'll def give you a wave if I do.
Have a good weekend everyone, hope storm Brian doesn't cause you any problems. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Have just seen on HUKD that there's a polaroid camera on offer at Currys. DD's friends have these (Instax?) and I had it on the list of ideas for her, so I've ordered it. Free delivery which is a bonus. Will get DS1 (18) the offer of the week in Boots - its a gym bag and smellies. I know he will use it. Thanks for the HB matchmakers tip off. Will go investigate tomorrow!
Off to craft fayre now - hoping for some inspiration for Mum and MIL.

Hi all,
So last night ( when I couldn’t sleep) I decided to be productive and order some gifts. I order DD a signed copy of the new book by Tom Fletcher- The Creaers. It was only £6.49 and she absolutely loved The Christmasauras book. I also ordered a signed copy of a book I wanted for my Christmas stocking lol x I decided to buy DD a easel from ikea. She absolutely loves playing schools ( I work at a school and she is always borrowing my school lanyard with my pass on) so I ordered her a lanyard in our school colours, I also managed to order a pass card with her name printed on it. Ordered her some teacher stamps and some teacher stickers. I know she will love it and I will have it up and ready to use with a big bow on for Christmas Day. I have just asked the kids to write their Christmas lists as have bought ds nothing at this point!
Raphael- Come on in, you are part of our Christmas family now xx
Peppa- HB is my happy place at the moment, I will go and have a look for the matchmakers as they sound lovely x
Coxy11- Thanks for the heads up on Boots offer of the week… off to have a look now
One week today is our next wrapping party- everybody is invited. We are all just going to get our christmas gift wrapping done and have a chat on here whilst we are doing it. Perfect opportunity for us to get chatting and maybe get some ideas xx0 -
If it helps the salted caramel matchmakers are still £1 in Tesco (some might have fallen into my trolley last night - totally by accident you understand!)0
