    Welcome JINGLEBELLE and KPWLL.

Had a lovely day today Christmas shopping with DD1. B&M was a big let down this time but Home Bargains was great and The Range was amazing. Virtually the whole first floor of ours is devoted to Christmas and it was fab, I could have spent a fortune but limited myself to some lovely gift bags, Christmas cards and two new baubles for the tree. DD bought me and DH a really nice lamp in the shape of a lighthouse for our Christmas pressie - just means I have to wait til I can get my hands on it lol. Got some good unicorn stationery bits in HB and also got good bits for three hampers so a very successful day. I had a lovely bbq and cheese melt panini and hot choc for lunch in the Range too so I was very happy!

Off to Wales tomorrow to visit DSS and family for the weekend but will try to pop in and see what's going on.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I went to the Range today too, OMG they had so many lovely things. I could have bought loads too. I did buy some stuff for the elf. I got a sleigh, a swing, a sleeping bag and some naughty elves tape for the door. I need to go back in to see if the elf bed is in stock. Everything was a pretty decent price too.
    Enjoy Wales x

Peppa sound like you had a great day congrats on resisting all the xmas goodies. Enjoy your trip

GTQ exciting times good luck with the loan it must be frustrating to be so close but so far away at the same time. Yay on the yankee candle shop wonder what the freebie is?

Princesskitty my lot get expandable flannels in their stocking every year too got the boys poo emoji ones this year

Vulpix enjoy scotland - I've never been so nothing to add actually I've never been to wales either really need to get out more

    welcome newbies

Ordered taz a couple of games from the toysrus sale for xmas as he's really gotten into them lately. Is it just me or have board games become really expensive? Looking for a good deal on gassy the cow if anyone sees one as begrudge paying £20-£25 for it. Argos is the cheapest at the moment but can't find 3 things I actually want or need in stock together :wall: no surprise really as it happens every time the offer is on
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

Haha Peppa and nic, must have been something in the water as I went into the Range this evening too :rotfl: Some new decorations may have just found their way into my basket as well. I felt like I needed a dose of sparkle after this week at work so it cheered me right up :)

Costa seasonal drinks will launch 2nd Nov - they released a sneak-peek on Insta but i didn't see it in time :( However they have been confirming some things on FB - the return of Hot Spiced Apple and honeycomb latte and a GF Xmas item. One menu item will be released earlier than the others. Roll on November..

Lazysheep- sparkle away now its Friday! I will have to keep an eye out for info on the Costa menu.
GTQ- exciting times ahead- 5 years will come and go in a flash and you will be a property owner!
    Welcome Jinglebelle and Kpwll x
Nic- did you get Swan Lake sleigh of the rustic wooden one?
Mandco- 'gassy cow'? The mind boggles lol!

My decorating is finally done all new furniture in place and Im really pleased with how its all come together. I underestimated how deep the new wardrobes are though so DH will have to sacrifice his bedside cabinet. Also I didn't open one of the ottomans to check it when it was delivered so now I have one grey and one taupe! I am having another grey one delivered next week and they told me to keep the taupe one!! Brilliant customer service- only problem is now I have one new bedside cabinet and one new ottoman to dispose of- will put it on freecycle I think if no one else in the family can make use if it. I also might have ordered one of those high headboards for the new bed as I don't really like the one that came with it and I bloomin LOVE it!! DH is gonna do his nut when he comes back from the US- he liked the headboard that came with the bed. Tough- it goes with my hotel style d!cor. AND best of all, the new furniture and layout means I have loads more storage for Christmas presents - its a win win for me lol!
    lovin' this site!

It was actually a wee resin sleigh for the elf, ot says Elf 1 on it, and the elf on the shelf sits in it. I struggle to think of naughty things for the elves to get up to, this is our 9 yr having elves. So I'll use the sleigh coming down the bannister or something like that lol.

Hello, I've been lurking for a while :) I'm feeling inspired thanks to you all, just wondering where you got your poop emoji flannels from mandco please? My 6 year old would loooove it. We live around 40 miles from any decent shops though so I try to plan well ahead if I'm going anywhere.

My eldest is into Harry Potter so if anybody sees any bargains please let me know x

  • Quick heads up for you all - I found the Boots catalogue in my local store today. Seems a little earlier than normal but it was a welcome surprise!

  • Hello hello hello,

Another week that has flown by in the blink of an eye! Hope everybody is OK.
Welcome to the newbies, pull up a chair, grab a drink and settle down to our christmas chatter.
Well I am off christmas shopping tomorrow, Just me and my friend and she loves christmas too. We are going to visit matalan, B&M, home bargains, The range, and many more shops!! I cannot wait!

Hoping to grab some stocking fillers and maybe some gifts. Had a problem with our new car so it had to go back which left us carless! DH went to see one today so hopefully we should get it on monday as he liked it. It has been an horrendous week so I am very happy to see the back of it! Going to jump in the shower and then get in my bed whilst me and DD watch a christmas movie together.

    Catch up soon
  • Went into Yankee Candle after work:eek: Could easily spend a fortune, but came away with cinnamon, vanilla cupcake & Christmas cookie. Think I was quite reserved!

However, I did come away with a couple of issues. Freebies were not available today, I mean what company opens a brand spanking new shop & gives freebies on days 2 & 3? I haven't got time to go over the weekend, so no perks for me:( Second, although I am all for it, the bags were paper, luckily I had a bag with me, but as the candles are so heavy, there is the strong likelihood that the bottom of the paper bag could go, so not sure how they can get around that one.
A smile costs little but creates much :)
