Happy Birthday Free! I hope you're having a lovely day!

..on the Christmas front I bought a couple of sweets that my dad likes today and I've even done some more wrapping! I just got so into it I've basically wrapped most of what I have already. I do have an excel spreadsheet to keep on top of what I have so I can't forget. This year has just been so stressful for us and so busy, and I can only see it continuing, so I thought I might as well crack on with it so it's one less thing to do/worry about :)

  • Some lovely Christmas bits coming out on the shelves, makes me super excited. I haven't been on here in a while, still having problems in flat, intense bullying etc and no one of authority wants to take action. If I was well enough to move I would but my circumstances won't allow it. It's like being in a prison. Started in February and is intensifying every day.

Welcome to the newbies. Hope you are all well. This forum is keeping me sane. X

  • Wilko Christmas shop looks good this year, a few bits I've got my eye on. I'm making beaded butterflys in gold, silver, red and green for family members to hang on their trees. If anyone Is interested in making them I can give you instructions (When I can find them).

Just got my brother to buy for, my dad and mum and then I'm finished. I see in Tesco, celebrations have a selection box of just maltesers chocolates. They are always my favourite out of all the other celebration chocolates.

In my local B&M they have a movie cinema gift pack for £4.99 contains two different butterkist popcorns and some sweets. Good if your making up a hamper. My brothers girlfriend I've bought her a cineworld gift card and got her the gift pack to go with it. She's fussy and only likes butterkist popcorn.

TREASUREQUEEN I'm really sorry to hear the bullying is still going on, I'd hoped things had improved. Such a shame you live near such horrible people and very bad that nobody seems able or willing to do anything to sort it out. Stick with us and let's think Christmas.

BINSKY I'm not much help with where to take the children. I know DD takes DGD to Winter Winderland in London but that's only a day trip. This year they're going to Disneyland Paris for two days and coming back on Christmas Eve. Last year they had a few days in Lapland so it's going to have to go some to beat that.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

    Hey all :)
Well it’s that time of year again! I’m on a short timescale this year as the pressie run home is November- and it’s also when I graduate! Well on with pressie buying. Went into Boots in Birmingham on Friday and was pleased to see they had their Christmas 3 for 2’s in So got loads in one fell swoop! I also got some presents when I was last home and mum and I visited Boundary Mills. There were some amazing Christmas bargains to be had! I also managed to pick up some pj’s for my sister in Sainbugs that she had been admiring and had 25% off. I bought OH a rugby shirt on Saturday but had to show him it as the sizing was terrible and I really didn’t know if it would fit- luckily it was all fine. He wants a Dyson for Christmas- he’s seen one he likes in John Lewis and he has a £100 gift card which he was given for his 30 years service at work so I’m just putting £100 to it. I’ve also been accepted to do a survey through YouGov which gives a reward of £50 worth of Amazon vouchers- I’ve also got a 6 month trial of Amazon Prime Student so those combined will get a lovely bottle of Irish single malt whisky I have seen for dad.
    What I have so far:

    Sister- pyjamas
BIL- Men’s Baylis and Harding sport gift set
Older nephew: Jack Wills set from Boots
Younger nephew: Jack Wills set from Boots
Step niece: Jack Wills minis tin from Boots
    Mum: Dove set from Boots
Dad: 3 pairs of gentle grip non elastic socks
Friend: 3 Jack Wills body sprays
OH: Leicester Tigers Rugby shirt and mug, u2 tour mug

    Left to get:
    Mum: Theatre vouchers
    Dad: Whisky
Best friend: Snow Fairy stuff from Lush
OH: Leicester Tigers half season ticket, Harrods and Fortnum and Mason tea
Other friend: Tea and biccies from Harrods

Off to London next week to pick up some bits there. Not far off being done!

Thanks Peppapig much appreciated, Winter Wonderland was what we originally had planned but I think my 10 year old would be anxious in case anything bad happened, I keep telling him we need to live our lives but we'll see. As we live in North Wales London would be more than an overnight trip :-D

Morning all, we’re finally in October! Won’t be long now J this month is when I try and get most of my Christmas shopping done so hopefully I can find some discount codes! Had an interesting meal for my nan’s 80th birthday on Saturday, could have turned out like Jeremy Kyle with my mum’s side of the family but actually went quite well. My nan has called me twice to have a go at me for putting the 80 small sparkly table decorations in her card because they are now all over her house lol I’m so jealous hearing about everyone’s trips to the Range, I’m desperate to go but my DH won’t let me until November because he says it’s too early (rolls eyes!) think maybe because he knows I’d spend a fortune too.
    Happy birthday Freespirit!
Hi to all the newbies J
Dsmiffy I’d echo Peppa about Primark, their PJs and slippers are really good
Clumsy, great news on the support group, thanks for the heads up on Dunelm
Peppa I’m with you on the wanting to eat more with the colder weather, think we’re biologically driven to store fat for the colder months lol annoying about wales, at least you can still go this month
Princesskitty take the £2 win, don’t feel bad J
Nic that’s typical about your car, sorry to hear and sounds like good progress considering
Murie glad your decorating is all done and dusted now
Gettingtherequickly, ‘only’ needing 20k for your flat in Egypt sounds like a good problem to have, as for the yankee shop next to your office I’m very jealous
Binsky there are lots of Harry Potter stuff in Primark at the mo
04624181 that sounds like my kind of weekend – except for the car trouble, hopefully the new car is an improvement
Mrsinvisible glad you’ve got your appointment sorted and you can make the most of it with some festive shopping
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:

    Morning

Slightly panicked as I have to leave for work in 20 minutes and my trousers were in the washing machine up until 10 minutes ago so I am sat roasting next to a fire to try and dry them in time.
Seem to have extra shifts this week - I usually do 6hrs a week (i know right) but this week I somehow have 16 so obviously the Christmas hours are starting to creep in and its the last of the 3 for 2s this week so it will be panic stations for a lot of parents I expect.

i did manage to pick up the last of my daughters toys on Saturday in the 3 for 2 so only have a few bits to get her although I had to do battle with a JJ pug toy to switch it off because the bleeding thing was barking incessantly - I can see that being one toy that wont have extra batteries for it!

My sister in law just mentioned today as well that she is taking out a £2000 credit union loan to cover Christmas :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: good grief. I cant imagine spending that much let alone getting into debt for Christmas! Either way we are off to Toys R Us on Friday (my only day off) and I think shes doing most her shopping then and I am hoping to pick up a few cheap bits for my daughter and get her stocking done.

Also have decided to get my husband a new bike jacket for Christmas - I don't mind spending money on bike kit for him though as its for his safety but I found the jacket he wants for £110 on ebay so thats him done once I have money in to buy it at the end of the month

Mother in laws boxset is put aside in my amazon basket as well ready to just click buy with and I have set myself a goal - I want to have all my Christmas shopping done by November 30th.......I was behind last year and turned into a stress head the week before Christmas and it retriggered my dizziness - I am determined to have a peaceful one this year.

Right off now to hairdry my trousers some more and get ready for my shift
    Time to find me again
