Will Brexit really be good for Britain?

Given these countries are such good places for enterprise, one wonders why huge numbers of thier energetic young came to Britain to build a life. I have a Romainian client that said he had to get away from the endemic corruption there. Poland has, by UK terms a very far right Govt, lets hope you don't say anything that could see you detained or closed down
Anyway, trade is dynamic, of course some will re locate to the EU, but I'd bet the profits will rent to be rendered in the UK in many cases. The nimble super dynamic UK will attract masses of enterprise.
I assume you haven't read this or this?
How long ago did your client leave Romania? There's been massive change in the last few years, which resulted in this interesting news story.
Have you ever been to Romania or Poland? I've never had to pay bribes to get anything done in either country.
There are also very attractive investment terms with state support. As far as I'm aware this is also available to local partners setting up with an international partner, so it can benefit locals too.💙💛 💔0 -

I'm sure I speak for many on this Forum wishing you well in relocating your business abroad.
I'm sure I also speak for many by saying your continued moaning about Brexit will not be missed after you've left.
Please close the door behind you when you've gone.:D0 -

Thank you, it's good to know it means a lot to you personallyI'm sure I also speak for many by saying your continued moaning about Brexit will not be missed after you've left.
I also have the right to campaign to have Parliament making the decisions on Brexit, and again will continue to do so.
Equally, you have the right to not want that, as is democacy.💙💛 💔0 -
On another note though, this video has made my day

That's a very broad generalisation. Taken as a whole the the EU hasn't performed well for a decade economically. Strip out Germany and the numbers look far worse. High youth unemployment suggests (like the USA) that low/semi skilled labour is losing out to Asia/India/Mexico.It makes a lot of financial sense to redeploy some operations, as we're on a 90 new contract target next year (of 120 targets), a majority of which are in Eastern Europe (a region where a majority of our clients are based), and physically needing to run staff/vehicles empty can easily add £1000/contract onto our costs, which increases what needs to be charged.
That's a business decision. Which has little to do directly with Brexit. Plenty of UK companies have moved manufacturing/processing capacity out to China since the early 90's. With cost saving being the driver. Not concerns over paperwork.0 -

That's a global issue, and not necessarily anything to do with one area.
Removing the EU dumping duties on specified products may make the problem worse unless the same duties are replicated post-Brexit.That's a business decision. Which has little to do directly with Brexit.
It's a business decision made partly on the back on Brexit. There would be little to no redeployment (although possibly would be a minor change in how things are done) had the UK not voted to leave the EU.
It's also reflected in which areas of Europe are underrepresented in which things, and it's a no brainer for me personally.💙💛 💔0 -

Sounds as if you are justifying your decision by attaching it to Brexit (possibly to some impacted members of staff). Ultimately a business is driven by the profit it makes for it's owners and shareholders. There's no sentimentality involved.0 -

No, it's a decision being made on what looks like the UK leaving the customs union. Such a decision wouldn't have been made had the UK voted to Remain; I know that just as well as you do.
Don't dress it up as something it's not, and don't tell me how I've made commercial decisions.💙💛 💔0 -
In the news tonight, the Romanian President is blocking a Muslim from becoming PM. But the UK is xenophobic and full of little Englanders
I wouldn't invest in the EU given the inherent instability and any member of referndums to come. Brussels never stops, the pen pushers need to dream up new intrusive regulations, that's what they do. Bad for business.0 -

We can't have an Islamic Monarch.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0
