Despite you hoping it will, there's no sign of that yet is there?
In business planning terms we're on the cusp of Brexit yet there's been a myriad of positive stories about inward investment.
I saw a news item yesterday stating that the UK has risen from 10th to 5th place in an index that judges countries on being "best for business."
Brexit is increasingly becoming a state of mind.
Perhaps you would be happier in a more economically moribund area of your beloved EU- it'll suit your outlook better!“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

A recent tycoon in one of the free rags in the tube was saying Brexit is like throwing yourself off the 100th story and you're falling past the 50th floor, saying 'wow this isn't too bad' just seconds from hitting the floor, hard.
He was putting his money on take away food. The one thing that sells well as a treat to recompence for not having any holidays.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

so we wait a few seconds then0 -
so we wait a few seconds then
FTSE shares getting shorted as we speak. Pound already plunged and going lower, holidays ruined. Brexit deal making diplomacy with Europe going terribly wrong. Britains Cool Britannia brand getting mouldy.
It's going from bad to worse.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

remind us what the FTSE was a year ago and what its current value is

indeed the pound's value is lower
however the UK has had a large current a/c deficit for some years : devaluation inevitable anyway, but brexit was the catalystBrexit deal making diplomacy with Europe going terribly wrong. Britains Cool Britannia brand getting mouldy. It's going from bad to worse.
what is going from bad to worse
make specific measurable prediction0 -

yes the natural vindictive politically motived EU elite shows itself clearly
what is going from bad to worse

I predict this country will be a much sh*tter place because of Brexit and the sh*ttyness has already started happening and will only get worse, quickly.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -
It seems obvious that a bad Brexit is fully priced in. We have heard all the threatening noises from Yerp about how nasty they're going to be to us. It's not like they've shrugged in a cheery way and said Let's all work together, and we're heading for a shock as we find out what the real tems are.
So when it proves that the EU really can't afford to be too nasty to us after all, for fear of ending up with a corporation tax shelter on their doorstep, no safety valve here for all their unemployment, and nowhere to dump all those fascists they want to let in by the million, they'll have to wise up and at that point Brexit starts to look a lot better.
Most countries in the world are not in the EU and most seem to do just fine.0 -
Even assuming we somehow get a better deal and the economy does well, Brexit has caused a serious political divide that'll go on for years.
But I genuinely can't see how we'd get a deal that's even as good as what we've got at the moment without enraging most of the Leavers.0 -

Every election causes a political divide.
Denying the the people a say in their future causes a divide
Many countries have found temporary solution
Democracy is a nuisance sometimes. But I genuinely can't see how we'd get a deal that's even as good as what we've got at the moment without enraging most of the Leavers.
The IMF genuinely thought that the Uk would have a double dip recession.
the OBR / Treasury genuinely thinks we will be 0.15% worse off per capita GDP per year althought he people's housing situation will improve.
Whats you prediction?0
