Here is a handy guide to class in Britain:

    Upper Class: don't use ketchup
Upper Middle Class: keep ketchup in the fridge
Lower Middle Class: keep ketchup in the cupboard
Lower Class: use sachets nicked from MaccyDs

    .
In our house, we steal our ketchup sachets from a David Lloyds gym cafe then put them in the fridge. I'm confused where we fit

I am also getting confused again ;) I don't use ketchup, or brown sauce or salad cream come to that, I DO use mayonnaise though, where do I fit I wonder ?

Until this thread I hadn't really thought about the class system for years, hadn't thought it mattered much to anyone these days, and had assumed that most people felt pretty much the same. Are people really THAT bothered? I hate snobbery and reverse snobbery (if there really is such a thing), I take people at face value,if they're good people - great, if not I simply don't bother.

It's fairly clear OP has a long way to go before becoming one of the "Managerial Class"

But of course I make my own mayonnaise - none of that shop bought rubbish in my house! ;)

OP - it seems your "very posh school" has let you down somewhat - your spelling is atrocious!
