    Still confused!

Although my house is owned outright I am on a relatively low income,I do have a tv in the corner, but my sofas face each other and as far as music genres go my tastes are eclectic!

Also, although I don't have Caribou on the croquet lawn, I did have Muntjac nibbling the shrubs this afternoon! :rotfl:

  • OP, what date are your figures from? They do seem quite a few years out of date to me.

And I really like the thought that all people from the 'Labour' class speak with a cockney accent!

I think the OP was drinking heavy while watching Marry Poppings.

While they don't all have cockney accents, I think it's fair to say the working classes have harsher regional accents. Middle classses having the benefit of private & grammar schools speak less "regional".

The upper classes all sound similar.

I don't fit in any of those descriptions - at best, one or two from each lol! How funny... definitely 20+ years out of date!

A detached is better. You'll move from the flat, the neighbours cant be controlled etc. A detached home gives much better peace of mind.

if you are concerned about perception, just remember that friends will spend more time in your home than in your car. Most weathly people I know have nice houses and old cars

I speak with a regional accent if I'm asking a local tradesperson to price a job. In my neck of the woods, sounding too middle class could be expensive.

:cry::cry: Is that me done for then at ever getting charged a cheap price for anything? I can't speak with a regional accent if I try.....

So much for thinking 'Well - at least everyone understands my voice easily' and more 'Darn it - they're about to overcharge me'.

In your case, it's worse than that; you have a whole different language to learn! :rotfl:

And I'm afraid just giving a thumbs-up and saying "Cymru am byth!" really won't cut it......
