I've been booking with Dollar at TI for years (and the MGM desk when it was there too), and always found them ok. They were particularly good when I was involved in an accident in one of their cars. They also don't seem to try to push 'extras' the way I've noted at a couple of other places.

The main issue I've had with them is that I feel they sometimes try to give me a smaller car than I've paid for. I generally book a 5 door 'Focus' but in maybe the last 5 years they've tried to give me Kia Rio, and Ford Fiesta, both of which I'd say were smaller for sure. This year I've booked a bigger car, it was only £10 more. I'm hoping it's a bit better. The last couple of years we've had Nissan Versa(o?), and I don't particularly like it. It feels very light. I liked it back in the day when we always used to get a Dodge Caliber. I liked those.

BA cabin crew have announced new strikes running on from the one already announced. It will run until the 1st of September. The last one affected Vegas flights so if you are flying with them (as we are) during that time keep an eye on your booking via "manage my booking"
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I couldn't see a thing out of that car. It was awful for me.

for the first time ever for us, netflights is coming up best for our dates (including Alamo Brits).

Has anyone rented from netflights for Alamo at LAS? Were you able to use the pre-check in process that you can with Alamo direct bookings? It's only a £13 savings with netflights, and I love the ability to check in before we leave and just go straight to the cars. I would probably pay £13 to be able to do that. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I have used netflights several times. Can't say about the pre-check though. I don't use it because I can add Tony for free at the kiosk. Can't do that with pre-check. He rarely drives, but it's always good to have the option.

I put my wife on for free using precheck with Alamo, can't remember how , guess I just put her details on the Alamo website
  • Hi, it's our first trip to Las Vegas and nothing like any holiday we have had before, normally all inclusive beach holidays...
Have booked a 2 trips to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon.
Would like to go to a show or 2
I know everyone is different but what kind of spending money should I take?
I am travelling with my husband, daughter (17yr) and Mum (74yr) not big drinkers gamblers or fancy eaters, just haven't got a clue how much to take we are using Monzo and Soldo prepaid cards and taking Halifax clarity credit card, also will take some cash too.

Another concern is dress code what's expected/accepted, husband just wears knee length jean shorts (is that ok most places?)

Going in 2 weeks for 10days and starting to panic now 😣🙄

    Any advice gratefully received.
    Thanks in advance 🤗

    hi
vegas is a wonderful place and im sure you d love it.
Vegas as im sure you may know there are loads of buffets, pay one price per person eat as much as you want, which may suit you.
there are also loads of food court places as well.
Im not 100% sure if it ll help but my brother and i took around $1500 each for 10 nights but we did gamble alot so maybe take $1000 each prehaps?

as for the dress code well it is vegas? I am (according to my sister) the single worst dresser ever ! so i think your hubby will be ok, just pretty much common sense i think.
As for shows my brother and i loved david copperfield at the mgm!
what hotel are you staying at?
prehaps you can google whats on in vegas when you go something like "shows in vegas august 2017"

sometimes there are singers doing shows when you are there. there was britney at the planet hollywood and oliva newton john ( cant remeber where that was)
unsure whate singers may be there when you are there.

There is a big * boxing match* going on when you are there so it may be a bit busy in around the 26 of august.
Hope this may be of help
