recovering - please don't worry about posting if you think you've been doing badly, post anyway - it might help ! not bingeing is a great achievement all on its own. ( same goes for you, madmae
) sorry you are starting to feel poorly - hope your family will help look after you !
MsrM, I'm very tempted to post you a bag of parsnips :P I think customs might have a fit tho ! The crumble really was not unhealthy - due to admixture topping and also used hardly any sugar but sweetened fruit with apple juice.
Sola the dinner sounds delicious - I really must get over my chagrin with the rubbish Robert Dyas staff and go and get a slow cooker.
taplady - well done on resisting the big bar of choccie
meanmarie - don't worry - tomorrow that veg will jump out of the ground and onto your plate
I've had a not so great day in some ways - started off well, bowl of cereal for breakfast, slice of marmite toast and OJ midmorning, proper cooked lunch at work + the crumble - but bought crisps/choc/pepsi max on the way homestupid really as was full after lovely lunch and it wasn't even like I integrated them into a meal as I did yesterday. The things weren't that disastrous in themselves, I just annoyed myself by reverting temporarily to an old habit without a struggle.
Not really in a good frame of mind tonight - not looking forward to going back to weekday job one little bit - I so enjoyed my break but am dreading having to getting back to dealing with all the " stuff " again, and I know its going to be a heavy week" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. Hello:wave:, one week into it.
I'm going to weigh myself in the morning, before the family come round as it,s my !*+~* birthday,:bdaycake:I hope they don't bring me any choccies!(I'm lying)but I am determined to get some of this flab off as I want to be around to see my beautiful little grandaughter grow up,also I'll have more room on my knee to cuddle her.
Had a good look at myself in the mirror this morning, not a pretty sight! but maybe they don't make mirrors like they used to.
I've made a huge pan of veggie soup today everything that was lurking in the fridge,I put a tin of cannelini beans in as well and will liquidise it all as it's true it really does help to keep you feeling full for longer that way.
All this talk about pumpkins has got me determined to grow some next year,we did some butternut squash a couple of years ago from saved seeds and they were great but we hadn't bothered this year so must start again, that will be a money saver.
Well done all of you who have lost weight just think, it,s not just going off your waist and hips but from round your heart and other internal organs. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

Yeah this is what did it for me. We don't have big mirrors at home, and on holiday I saw myself full-length for the first time in years. Standing sideways, I was stunned to see my spare tyre actually sticks out further forward than my not inconsiderable 38F chest! I got DH to take a pic of me in bra and knickers from the back, and I've got that fat-crease thing going on by my waist on both sides (actually worse on one side because I didn't realise I stand wonky with one hip raised because of back problems; I thought I was standing straight). So it's spurred me into action.0 -
Morning folks
Turbo_gran and Sola, your posts made me smile re the mirrors - with me, it's I think its the mirrors in the shops that ain't made wot like they used ter be
Afraid I haven't had any " brand new day " vavavvoom reinserted. Still dreading the day, don't feel in the least like bingeing but feel really disinterested in eating decently today. Possibly partly because am low in fresh fruit and some veg again, as although freezer and cupboards have plenty of stuff, I don't want to eat any of it. I don't have any kind of plan for today except hope I can get through it the best way I can without great disaster." Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. I have also been feeling a bit lacking in the vavavoom department, but having come on here, I'm determined to get it back - it may be grey and damp and horrible, but I refuse to feel sorry for myself any more - I don't need to eat stodgy food (with lots of yummy cheese) just because it's yucky weather.
I'm going to go for a walk, and when I get back, I'm going to make lots of veggie soups :j hurrah! :rotfl:
I think it's easy to get a bit down, particularly as the honeymoon shine wears off a bit and the idea of being sensible all the time becomes less appealing *yawn*
Well done everyone who has lost, good luck to everyone who is losing andto the yucky weather!
p.s. Happy Birthday TurboGran0 -

Good morning folks
Yippee...have managed to lose 3 pounds this week! :j
I have to admit I have not been very good eating-wise this past week, but we did get an exercise bike last Wednesday and I have used it every day. I was very out of breath at first and still don't manage much at one time, but I am already noticing a difference, managed 2.5 km this morning rather than 2km. I have tried to do 2km twice a day...couldn't manage 4km at once yet! My DS2 (rugby player with damaged shoulder) needs to keep fit while out of action, is managing 8km twice a day at the highest resistance....OMG he is fit...and only 14 years old!
I meant to sign on yesterday, but very busy cooking and baking. Boiled up two gammon hocks on Sat. night, had meat for Sunday tea, and used liquid as stock for soups. I had left over roasted pumpkin from Friday, so made a small quantity of pumpkin soup (added some celeriac and onions) sooooh good. Also made a bunger-all soup using veg in cupboard...no carrots for a change, but had celeriac, onions, potatoes and parsnips. Also added a couple of tins of toms and some red lentils. Whizzed up both soups, and froze, both in family as well as a few individual potions. Looking forward to pumpkin soup for lunch today.
Also made a mega-quantity of Spag. Bol. ready for freezing, added soya mince to make it go further (no lentils as they all went into the soup!). Having some for T tonight. Then on to the baking...2 dozen half-sugar cinnamon & raisin buns, 60 or so no sugar oat biscuits and a dozen low sugar scones. The last were made with white flour ...aaargh, mainly for my neighbour (87) who's stomach can't cope with much fibre these days. I took 6 round to her, I only had one with butter and HM damson jam, the rest were polished off by my DS1+2 and OH so I can't eat any more!
So the menu plan for today is:
B: Special K, soya milk + OJ
Break: fruit (probably a pear)
L: HM pumpkin soup + small piece of cheese + slice granary bread
Break: friut (apple?)
T: HM spag bol with small amount of spaghetti (wholemeal of course)
Must go and have my shower, having cycled 2.5 km this morning...feeling virtuous.;)
I am going to write out my weekly meal plans this morning so I can plan my shopping and eating much better this week...who knows, I may manage another big loss next week!
Can't lurk too long as have lots to do...going to try and see if I can post a couple of parcels when I get my neighbour's pension.
Will pop in later to see how everyone is getting on.

Morning all, busy weekend. OH invited one of the kids friends round to watch rugby and ended up with the whole family (6). So I had to buy biscuits but didn't buy any crisps. But I did eat some chocolate chip cookies
And yesterday some fig rollsMust be good this week - but there's lots of left over biscuits.
So lunch today is a small portion of left over HM lasagna from yesterday (I only put white sauce on the top and a little cheese).
Made a pot of turkey and veg curry (parsnips, carrots and peas) yesterday (as I defrosted the wrong pack of meat )
Tonight will be toad in the hole and veg.
Slow cooker should be arriving at the end of this week so any good recipes for a first attempt at slow cooking would be good (got to be able to cook it for 10 hours though ). Debating getting a small whole chicken and trying that for a first go.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hiya, I joined WW online a few weeks ago and don't seem to be doing very well with it at all. Plus, I'm getting sick of the shopping bill slowly getting higher and higher. I just want to eat regular food (in smaller portions - as I find portion sizes are my downfall and still lose weight) that fits in with what I need to feed the rest of my brood. I've had a browse around on the net this morning and checked out weightlossresources.com. I've signed up for the three day free trial and it seems really sensible and easy to manage. I was well impressed with the calorie counter journal thing. Has anyone else used weightloss resources? If so, how did you get on long term and did you reach your target weight or are you well on the way to reaching it. I've got about five stone to lose and it's really getting me down at the mo. Any advice much appreciated.

Morning ladies!
I've felt rotten all weekend, the lurgy didn't appear properly but I've felt headachy, sickly and very tired all the time. I've eaten healthy meals but also loads of rubbish in betweenI got on the scales this morning and amazingly have stayed the same :j It might catch up later.........
Anyway, today is a new day, I feel a bit better, I'll get extra exercise today as OH has the car to go for an interview *crosses everything hoping he gets it*
Had a slice of fruit bread before I left home at stupid o clock to get the bus into town then had a half hour walk to work.
Just had oats and yoghurt with sultanas, I've got homemade veg soup and bread for lunch with some grapes and will have veggie sausage and bubble and squeak for tea when I eventually get home.
Have a good day!! :A0
