Morning all.
I've slipped this weekend, so I am not happy with myself. Though I am not using it as an excuse to eat anything and everything in sight, which is what I would have done in the past.
I'm a bit achey this morning. I slipped down the stairs last night, I seem to be making a habit of it. At least this time it's just an ache, last time it was a really badly sprained ankle.
We have roast chicken for dinner, hubbys cooking it........with a ton of veg. I love roast chicken so I can't wait.0 -
:T Hi everyone
Well i had weetabix for brekkie
and have just had roast chicken, roast potatoes, cabbage, nobbies, carrots, sweetcorn and gravy  it was scrummy ..and have extra veg left over, so have stuck them in the fridge and i will re-heat them with something for my lunch tomorrow:T - i have learnt to make trade offs... so today we had roasties.. but no boiled, mashed or hm stuffing... next time it will be stuffing and boiled pots and another time it will be mashed.... rather than having roast, mash and stuffing all at once... it seems to work for me;)
tea is 2 poached eggs on 2 slices of home made bread -toasted ..with butter... and hubby will be doing that:j
Madmae
Its only a slip.. so well done in not letting it become a land slide :T ..
Ouch on falling down the stairs-hope you aren't too sore... im one of the dopey ones who always falls UP the damn thinks.... usually shinning myself in the process :rotfl:
well its been a fairly lazy day... got all the stuff out to do the lawns..hubby started striming..then i remembered its sunday  and you aren't supposed to do the garden etc on sundays... so it all went away again and im gonna try and get it done tomorrow..
other than cooking the lunch i have just been sat x stitching :T .....
Kittyscarlett - im like you.... love sweet veg..parsnips being my fave.... not that i have found any out here yet  mum has been able to get a bag in lidle for 49p last week..think they are on offer:rolleyes: . I love roasted veg.. but my hubby is the opposite.. he doesn't like veg when they are too sweet... even carrots...
As a rule we never have biscuits/cakes in... we don't eat them.... i do like cake..but really only the good substantial HM ones... don't get me started on date n walnut :rotfl: ..non of this airy fairy shop stuff.. Hubby has fits n starts on the munchies... perhaps once a month he will pig like he did yesterday...perhaps he gets PMS instead of me :rotfl: ..still he has now told me not to let him have any... well thats extra saved from the shopping budget then :j
I do wish people would stop mentioning crumble..one of my fave puds..... any crumble as long as is homemade and not too sweet....
Nodwah...i still think you deserve a "well done" for staying the same...:T its a whole lot better than putting on....so :T to you
This is it.. i have the opossite problem..the number of times i have eaten my dinner and then though "where is?" and then found the missing item in the micro etc :rotfl: .. Im not a big fan of baked beans, but sausage n mash and HM cheese n potato pie are 2 meals that i think go soooo well with beans... nice and filling too
well i had better get back to my cross stitching :T can't eat whilst im doing that..mind you im full allready.....
Oh and just 1 more thing, i think my taste buds are changing again... i went to get a yoghurt last night and it tasted much sweeter than i remember..too sweet in fact... im hoping it was just that 1 flavour - raspberry.... but that isn't usually the sweet one..keep your fingers crossed for me...or i am gonna have to find a replacement - not until i have eaten the 10 i have in the fridge mind
hello frogga..hope all is well
debtfree..hope you got through last night OK and weigh in went well.. fingers crossed for you
well folks.. keep up the good work...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
hi Everyone - have just scanned through the thread as I haven't dared post in the last week as I have been so rubbish with my eating. I haven't binged but I have not made healthy food choices at all and know that I have gained a couple of pounds, but I am not going to weigh myself for a bit until I have made up the lost ground.
I woke up today with a funny throat and feel a bit "fluey" so don't really feel like eating, which is a plus I suppose. I have some friends coming round later for a meal and I am making a roast dinner - Pork, roast potatoes, mashed carrot, swede and butternut squash (that is just lovely - the BNS makes it taste fantastic), cabbage, cauliflowe and broccolli. There will be 7 of us and they will expect a sweet so I am making apple and mincemeat crumble, which I will try my best to resist, but if I do have some I will make sure I only have a little bit.
I was sooooo tempted in Costco the other day to buy a Panasonic SD255 breadmaker as it was only £64 including the VAT, but then I thought it might just be too much temptation, but I do go through an awful lot of bread for DD's packed lunches and DD1's friends who seem to treat my house as a free restaurant! Mmmm - will have to think some more about it I suppose.
Well, hope you are all having a wonderful weekend - cangratulations to all those who are losing weight so well.Jane

Hi
I have had a quick flick through the thread, as i've been so busy studying i've not had much internet time at all this week.
One major problem with studying is it makes me want to eat, especially at assignment time, which is now.
I also had pizza hut on tuesday (my birthday) and went out last night, lots and lots of beer along with cheese crackers and crisps when we came back.
I have also missed two days of cycling, so all in all not a great week, diet-wise but fab in every other way.
I will weigh-in tommorrow but realistically expect to have either put on weight or at the very best stayed the same.
Not a very optimistic post i'm afraid, but whatever the outcome tommorrow I will definately be more controlled next week, except maybe sunday when it is ds2 5th birthday and we are doing a tea party at home for him, Mmmmm cake

Hi all - still sticking with this and actually loving it; no cravings, not even for my nemesis cheese. Did a crockpot casserole last night - skinned chicken thighs, cabbage, leek, red lentils and herby dumplings with a dry sausage casserole mix at about 180 calories/portion. DH wolfed down two portions straight off; I'm saving the 4th one for lunch at work tomorrow.
I had a disturbed night (he coughed phlegm all over me at 2.30 and I stalked round the house furious till 9am when he surfaced), so only just getting going on my day. Will have something to eat shortly and then do a workout.0 -
Hi all!
we've finally finished the cake I made in the week so no more temptation for me!;) I was very good and didn't buy a family sized bar of white choccie in Asda like I usually would:D but did succumb to a digestive earlier with my cuppa!:o
breakfast - 2 small brown toasts and jam
snack - last small slice of cake:rolleyes:
lunch - spaghetti on toast, sprinkling of mature cheese
digestive
for dinner we are having honey roasted gamon, mash, veggies and a little cheese sauce.
later may have yoghurt and banana.
Have a good day all!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all!
Been at my boyfriends for a few days, so have just read through the posts. Had an good few days, wholemeal toast or bran flakes for breakfast, tomato sandwiches for lunch with either a little cheese or a slice of ham and then yummy homecooked dinners. We had toad in the hole with loads of veggies (probably one of my favourite meals) and today we had roast pork, potatoes, veggies and apple sauce. I'm going to have some tinned fruit in a moment.
Tomorrow will be weetabix for breakfast and as its a work day, it will be a "mini meals" day. Also, its my last day at work tomorrow, something I'm a little sad about, but I needed to leave just to push me on a bit more.

Makes 4 wraps
Chunk of butternut squash
1 red onion
Handful of button mushrooms, sliced
Handful cherry tomatoes, cut in half
Tablespoon olive oil
Dill
Tortilla wraps
Parmesan
Combine the veggies, oil and dill in a roasting pan, and roast in hot oven for 20 minutes. Heat tortilla wraps in microwave for 30 seconds. Dollop on veg mix and sprinkle parmesan; roll up and eat. I'd normally have 0% Greek yoghurt with this as well, but we ran out. Estimate 160 calories per wrap.0 -
Not going near the scales as don't seem to be getting my head together at all...very silly woman...no excuses to be found at my age!
To eat today I have had BLT and coffee, one club milk with coffee, half a homemade pizza (about 9 inch one) several glasses of water and 4 black magic egg type thingies....DD4 bought them for me, not sure what they are called...and two fresh walnuts from brother's tree....very tasty.
Just looking at the above, my only f/v intake today was lettuce and tomato in blt and the onion and tomato on the pizza...very naughty, will have to do something more sensible to-morrow, especially with veg jumping out of the ground in the garden and lots of cooking apples around
Everyday in every way I am getting better and better...if I say it often enough it might work!
