I've not managed to lose very much, but haven't put anything on either, so that's a positive. However, cnfidently expect a bit of a reduction when I weigh in on Monday morning - have been really sick today, so no eating at all! Not ideal, but there you go!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
hi guys, anyone around to give me a kick, have had a horrible day and really stressed out, im convinced im not gonna lose tomorrow and now just want to pig out, the toddler is in bed (or more accurately her sisters cot, dont ask me why, shes 2 ive decided that enough of a reason!!) and the baby is asleep on my knee so at the moment i cant get to the shop or the kitchen but soon the baby will wake and there will be nothing to stop me going through the kitchen like a mad woman, im not even hungry, have just had lasagna and nicely full up but just feeling horrible ad wanting to comfort eat i guess.
anyone up to the job of keeping me on the straight and narrow?0 -
WOOO HOOOO debtfree
looks like your stuck with me
Is there anyone about to keep an eye on the little ones -once baby is off your knee.. so you could go and have a nice bubbly bath and a bit of a pamper??
I have just got out of the bath.. as i kept thinking "i fancy...." not that i knew what IT was :rotfl: ..so went and stuck myself in the bath and it had passed by the time i got out....
At the moment you are only convinced you won't have lost tommorrow..imagine if you do a "pac man" as i call it and then tommorrow you are up 1/2lb... you will be so peeeed off - cos it means you may well have shown a loss:T if you had just held off until the urge pased
Come on..lots of faith.. you can get through this.. you know you can....
Just another thought.... why not promise yourself that..if ... when both little ones have gone down for the night you still "want" something..then you will have a treat of your choice...when you get to sit in peace and enjoy it fully..chances are you won't want it -and if you do at least you will taste it touch the sides on it way down-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
There isn't anyone no mrs m, dh works till 10pm on a Saturday but i think the urge might have passed ish.
Ellen's still asleep on my knee and i think when she waked up ill get my usual chicken sandwich as well as a can of Pepsi max and make some jelly which then i can eat without too much guilt. that way i get the sweet that im craving but without eating really any junk
thank you, and pac man made me laugh lol0 -
Evening all
Debtfree... hope the craving passes soon :T .... i love sugar free jelly with tinned fruit in the bottom.. great stand by when those munchies attack... will keep my fingers crossed for you for the morning:D
Went to get ready to go out... pulled on my trousers, went to button n zip them...and they were allready fastened :j guess who jigged on the spot ?... for the first time in living memory....im gonna need a belt to keep them up and not in case my button explodes off across the room :rotfl:
well we had 3 games..so that was a bit of exercise:p ...nipped into the supermarket underneath and they have started selling their apples in buckets.. can't wait until they start doing oranges that way again- although how many buckets one person needs is beyond me:p ..so that was one of those i got and then some more yeast, butter and milk... hubby had 2 bags of pork scratchings bleughhh and a mix pack of snacks.. frazzles, discos, squares etc.... not sure how many have survived... but bless him i have noticed that he has eaten the ones i like most ..first:T
ended up having crispbreads n low fat cream cheese for lunch.. and have just had shepherds pie, mashed swede and sweetcorn for dinner and it will be a yoghurt later mmmmm me thinks cherry or peach melba
well i hope everyone has got through today ok and are still feeling great.. good luck to all those weighing in tomorrow.....-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Evening Ladies (& any other rugby widows)......(even the cats are watching the Rugby with him!!!!!)...
Good to hear how you are all doing!!
I went to weigh in yesterday & I've lost another 1lb - yipeee
Mrs M - way to go gal, thats really heartening...(Aldi have some yummy crunchy gherkins in this week for about 75p)..
Hollydays - My Gp recommended the BHF 'diet' and gave me the wallchart - if you ring them up - 0845 070 8070 they will post you the booklet. My laptop is steam driven so it helped a lot. Just good old sensible advice really isn't it? I read it and thought yes I can do this and stick to it.
Made steak & chips tonight (with tons of veg) a little of what you fancy and all that (made oven chips and whereas before would coat with mayo left it off this time).
Spoke to the nurse yesterday and we are now going to do weigh in's every 3 weeks which is good for me as by then (please please) more will have gone.
with all best wishes for everyone

Well done on losing another lb :T ..... you will have lost some more by next weigh in... i have every confidence in you - and everyone else on here:D
well my hubby has demolished the 2 bags of pork scratchings and the bag of 12 packs of snacks..on top of his tea:eek: , and has now declared "please refuse to get me any more" :rotfl: ..... im sure im his wife and not his mum.. still that is the reason i didn't comment when he picked them up...i knew he would regret it :rotfl: ..and at least they have gone down his throat that fast that they aren't going to be lurking in the cupboards :T
Hope you are having a great evening..and well done on the loss _party_-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Evening all !
nope, not a rugby widow - one of the benefits of being single - total control of the tellyNot even watching it though, listening to play on R4. Well done on tackling the urges, debtfree
Aww frogga, how can you malign something as delicious and versatile as a pumpkin
I must admit though, I do love the sweetness of many root and other veg. Grats on your loss mousey !
And yeah I am right with you there on the ewwww, pork scratchings front MrsM. I don't keep crisps/biscuits/chocolate etc in the house at all - that way if I want them I have to go out and get them, and stops me from doing a Pacman as you put it through the whole lot. Cotsvale, have you sat down with your family and explained that you are really trying hard to change the way you eat and you really could do with their support ? seems rather unfair for you to be making an effort and then for them to sabotage iteven if it is through lack of thought rather than deliberate !
Well I felt very virtuous ( ok, smug is probably nearer to it) going off to work with my little pack of hm and pre prepared goodies this morning .
Breakfast - 1 slice thick wholemeal toast and marmite, bowl of special k.
lunch - hm quorn casserole from freezer, small slice of colleague's hm bacon and onion roly poly.
Didn't get time to eat my raw veggies at work so brought them home and ate them at 4pm, with a small piece of cheese, packet of crisps and a Freddo the Froggreat improvement on the usual weekend double trouble with the choc/crisps/pepsi max scoffing at work then at home later too.
Dinner was baked tater, used up some scraps of pastrami and ham, and salad. Have just made plum and apple crumble ( topping = 1/2 usual crumble mix and half oatmeal ) for dessert for work lunch tomorrow along with low fat custrad - one colleague bringing in ham wrapped leeks in cheese sauce, another bringing in veggies to steam.
So, the house smells of delicious crumble and I am tired but content. Night, folks" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0 -
My chap has tin of biscuits by his side, they are dissaperaring at a rapid rate. Doesn't worry me, I don't have sweet tooth, I am another cheese junkie. Just bothers me when I cook things and he cant eat them as he is full. He is happy little chappy tonight!
I made butternut squash pasta the other week. They take some breaking into dont they? Not sure, it wasn't 'oh I must eat this again?
Anyone see Michael Winner on Parky? He has diet book next week (yeah just what we need another one)...but seems to be saying eat what you want just eat less of it. Night all xx0 -
Evening all, if anyone's still there?
Well I weighed in this morning, and... exactly the same.
Heigh-ho
Just nowI put the kettle on for a cuppa and spied a Lidl tin of salted cashews and made a start on it EEK! But when I went back into the kitchen to make my tea all of 2 mins later DH had polished them off!! Oh well I suppose he's helping in his own way.
So next week I will have to be more properly OS and plan all the meals, tho' it's school holiday week and that will mean more sweets and crisps around than normal. However we are planning a few hillwalking expiditions if weather is okay so that sure burns the cals - I recommend it!
Kittyscarlet where do you work? sounds like you do nice lunches!
And BTW i LOVE pumpkin and any of those squash type things and sweet pots, esp roasted. ( But the big industrial halloween pumpkins are rotten for eating - i've tried a few)Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0
