Morning all!
Well despite feeling ill yesterday i was quite active, i managed to get to the gym, a little persuading from a friend and my OH joined us for the first time, he likes to run outside. I did 25mins fat burner on the bike and then 6 weight machines. The only problem was we ruined all our good work by having a curry! But i did not have my usual saucy curry, i had a kebab so just grilled meat!
It was lovely to go out with friends we so rarely see anyone, spend so much time inside that it would have been dissappointing not to join them.
Well I am spending the next 24 hours at a conference, with a 3 course meal tonight, may stay off the wine!
Well good luck to you all, I am feeling much better this morning, but my asthma is reacting to the cold i was suffering from, so must keep an eye on that!
Enjoy the weekend!:)Leopardlady

I have the Paul Mckenna cd and book somewhere. I did use it a lot. I put it onto an MP3 player and listened to it when everyone was in bed at night. The problem I would find with it was that every time it finished I would wake up feeling very refreshed and raring to go. Which is not a good thing at 11pm.
I haven't eaten anything today yet as I am stressed about something and the thought of eating is making me feel 'icky. Though I do have my youngest at home from nursery as he was sick yesterday, so it might be more than just the stress making me feel ill. Last time he was sick was 3 days before last christmas and he had gotten that awful sickness bug. We all managed to catch it and as a result of that had a rotten christmas.....though it did stop us over eating :rotfl:
In the past I have been in loads of different diets, brought the books, mags etc.....I have to say this is most liberating.0 -
Morning ladies!
I've woken up this morning withthe start of the lurgy that's doing the rounds  and I feel rubbish.
Had toast and marmalade for brekkie, went to make a sandwich for lunch but the bread dropped to bits  so that went in the bin and I'll have to buy something (there must be something healthy on a uni campus????
OH has got an interview this morning for a job he DOESN'T want and another on Monday for a job he does so he was up and under my feet first thing
Just went to the vending machine to get some rubbish 'cos I felt like it and it's broken so I've had a banana and a cuppa .......
I will try to eat healthily today - promise:rotfl: :rotfl:
Well done to all the losers:T :T0 -
Morning everyone..
I've had peanut butter on toast for beakfast. It was very yummy.
Perhaps I should just try not to think about food at all....let it all come naturally.
Anyway, I'm not going to get stressed about it. I'm sure at some point it will all fall into place...0 -

Hya all, it has taken me three days to read through this whole thread...it's fantastic, what a lovely lot you are!
This is my first ever entry in any thread, so apologies if I get things wrong, protocol-wise.
I too have been trying to lose weight for most of my life and have had various degrees of success and disaster over the years.
I have alway done some cooking and baking, but have increased the baking to two/three times a week since my DS2 was diagnosed as Type 1 Diabetic in Jan 2006. He is 14 and 1/2, nearly 6' tall and a keen rugby player (though curbed just now due to damaged shoulder). He needs to have, no sugar, low sugar and high sugar stuff for various times. I make oat biscuits with a small amount of sweetener (only time I use it), cinnamon and raisin muffins with half sugar, and full blown flap-jacks Jamie O-style. The problem is, despite having another lad (DS1 nearly 18 and over 6'), and a wonderful DH to help to demolish this out-put, I still nibble on them. I have come up with a possible solution though....I will put the tubs containing these said scrummy nibbles up on top of my kitchen units, so I have to get a stool to get them down, whereas my giant offspring can just reach up and get what they want...do you think it will work??
Must get back to tidying the house. Have the dog to walk later and perhaps a stint on our new exercise bike. Got it originally to help DS2 keep up fitness while shoulder is recovering. So far we have all been using it every day since we got it (Wednesday this week)...let's see how long that lasts! I have a 'real' bike, but am so stiff and self conscious that have hardly used it. Perhaps getting to a reasonable state of fitness on the indoor bike will encourage me to use the outdoor one!
By for now...yet another load of washing to hang out...will the sun come out today perhaps?

Hi Keiss 21 and welcome ..
oh and well done on getting through all the posts..i can only appologise for my vast rambling essays :rotfl:
I think that putting the "goodies" out of reach will help... it just gives you that extra few seconds to think "do i really want one?".... and those seconds might be crucial...
We have a celler with 3 big rooms and we have the chest freezer and "overflow" fridge down there... it was hubbies "beer" fridge when he was single..anyway there is also a shelving unit down there..where i keep fresh fruit n veg... so if i want an apple i have to trundle down there to get it...left in the kitchen/living room you would be amazed how much fruit i can get through
....we are talking several punnets at a time
...
I find i am eating a fraction of what i was before.. and im not "starving".. im just not hungry...
hope you pick up loads of help on here.. and bucket loads of support of course-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Please God save me from peanut butter and cheese. Amen.
I'm craving...I dare not buy PB anymore & ohhhhhhhh I love cheddar. Someone posted that they are going to weigh out 1 ounce pieces and have one a day - I'm going to copy that - thanks for the idea who ever you were.0 -
Hi there cotsvale...
Sorry...i know i shouldn't...but :rotfl: ....sorry - your opening line cracked me up :T ....
Your 1oz bits will grate up to look loads, i used to mix it in with a bit of grated carrot - just to make it go further... do you buy the really really strong stuff? just a wee bit gives you loads of taste.
Well done on refusing to give in to the Peanut butter craving, if you know you are going to attack the whole jar... do they not do tiny jars? a bit like you get those little jams in - just enough for 1 sandwhich?
Hope the "urge" passes soon.. keep up the good work :j-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
