  • Morning lovely losers ;)

Toonie, glad you reconsidered re the chocolate, also hope your feller gets well soon ( with a huge vit C blast how can he not ;) ) Would be happy to post recipe later on today for the soup.
Frogga, very true - come on out all you closet weightlossers, you know you wanna !
Rockie - ooo humous alfalfa sprouts and carrot sarnie sounds delish - I love alfafa sprouts to bits but struggle getting through a whole packet before they start going off :(
MrsM - tis ok, we know the affectionate insult has more power than a civil insincerity, we didn't think you and frogga were in any danger of rolling pins at dawn.. well.. not much.. :D
Taplady - I don't think one slice of HM cake will sabotage your efforts much ( unlless it provokes raging cakelust and makes you scoff an entire one ) I often crave WI Victoria sponges myself !:p
Newlywed, I love sole but must admit have never cooked it apart from the M & S lightly floured lemon soles, which I just put in the oven. If its nice quality fish I think less is more - in the oven with a little butter, black pepper and a squeeze of lemon ?
Again, Ive eaten monkfish but never cooked it, this is it - its quite a firm fish so can stand up to most treatment - could try making kebabs out of it with onion/mushrooms/peppers etc, marinate in a bit of olive oil and lemon juice first maybe ?

Right, its a grim wet grey 'orrible day out there but nothing can repress my joy at having time off ! Have just run a bath and am going to luxuriate in it for a bit with my blackcurrant and ginseng tea :P then off to the bank and the butchers etc ! I had a good look on the OS advice thread about buying slow cookers so hopefully will find something suitable - if not, may have to pop into Argos later in the week.

Have a good day all !

    Morning all!
I have been to the gym this morning, on my way back from dropping off H to Be, i spent 25 mins on the bike working up a good sweat,action-smiley-033.gif then spent 10 mins on a number of weight machines to try and tone some of the wobble!wink.gif
Brekkie was a yoghurt and a bowl of bran flakes with skimmed milk,

lunch: no idea, never do, find lunch a very difficult meal to sort out
Dinner: pork casserole and HM bread (left over pork from roast on sunday when i cooked for 5 big blokes and two ladies!)

Right i really should get on with some work, but think i am still hungry! Oh well, hope all are smiling despite the rain! Just think how green things will be after the rain!

    :)
