  • Frogga, WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL ME?????

*shakes finger in her face while glaring over my specs*

Good for you that you didn't give in, tho. Call me next time! I'll describe in great detail how to butcher a cow. That should put a veggie off of eating!
  • Frogga, think of this way, you may have lost a binge but you gained the courage of your convictions... well done :)

welcome leopardlady ! Yes, it is a campaign not a plan as such... cos sometimes we lose battles but we will win the war ;)

Toonie, that doesn't sound all that horrendous to me... the currants or some raisins if you still have sugar craving would be fine and also help with the ol' five a day :) I do find a handful of raisins does often help stave off the chocolate craving too,a s does the tried and trusted reduced calorie chocolate drink wangle :). It has turned colder, you are at a bit of a turning point workwise, no wonder you wanted to indulge a bit... but think of it this way, at least whole cakes and family sized bars of chocolate were not disappearing down your neck !

Had a lovely long nap, woke up just over an hour ago and feel ok. Am just sipping at a bouillon drink and am having cheese on toast and a bowl of salad ( watercress, mustard and cress, beetroot, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, apple and radishes ) for dinner in a wee while. Really luxuriating in the thought of my time off. Have been lovingly stroking my new big saucepan and telling it its going to be filled very soon... ;) Part of tomorrow's plan is to go down to the bank and change the contents of my change jars - about 27 quid this time. I'm going to treat myself to some goose fat and some other bits from a nearby really good butchers and then if there is enough money left over, may just invest in a slow cooker - the sudden chilliness after our unexpected indian summer has made me start craving hearty stews and casseroles. There was a delicious looking recipe for honeyed carrot soup in this months BBC Good Food mag which I'm going to make and freeze down to - actually very excited at the thought of doing that, sad ain't I ;)

Thanks KS, I suppose thinking back, its not too bad a day, I just felt a little disappointment for the chocolate cropping up throughout the day. Have had some currants which were lovely and its probably now time for bed, have to be up earlyish. I think what I really need is to get sorted out workwise and then I'll be a lot more settled.

The honeyed carrot soup sounds yummy, don't suppose you could post or PM the recipe? :)

    Morning all,

Sending only possitive thought todays to cancel out yesterdays antics!

I had a long read through the rest of the thread to inspire me again. That meant I had to read my own rubbish:eek: Can't believe some of the embarrasing stuff I've written:o Then I read quite a few posts saying
" I've been reading this from the begining and just plucked up the courage to post"
    and I thought ,
" I wonder how many more people there are out there doing that?"
So if that's you, come on, pluck up the courage today and post.:T Whatever you have to say it can't be anywhere near as embarrassing as the twaddle that I've told!!:rotfl: As you know there are some really helpfull people on here who could offer some great support and advice.
(Although ignore the ramblings of MrsM, she just prattles on for hours! Just smile politely ~ it keeps her happy bless her xx)

Have a good day all xxxx

    Morning all!

Just had breakfast-1 slice toast with marmalade (I'm on a marmalade kick at the moment).
Rest of the day is along the lines of a sandwich at lunch (cheese or ham) plus cherry toms. Dinner will be something quick most likely as I'm not sure where its going to be, at mine or my boyfriends.
I'll also be bringing lots of fruit to my boyfriend as he has a cold and isn't feeling too well, so strawberries, kiwi fruits and bananas are all going to come his way (and mine as well).

Hope everyone has a great day and its not as grey and wet as it is in London!

Hope you all had a good evening..except frogga;)

Well it s lovely clean, fresn n bright day here today..:T

thought id post before getting my brekkie.. can't decide between weetabix, toast or yoghurt , think i might go for weetabix..decissions decissions:p

dinner this evening will be salmon and veggies.. may make a bit of sauce using low fat cream cheese wth herbs in :p

Kittyscarlett... hope you get some nice treats for yourself today....
oooh a slow cooker..what a godsend in cold weather -especially when you are out at work all day... i have had mine years and use it in fits n starts..tend to do a lot in a low oven, but it comes in when the oven is allready full, but it sits on the worktop right through autumn/winter.. just in case

Toonie... if having bits n bobs of chocolate throughout the day -stops you craving and ending up eating a huge bar..then why not... as long as it works for you thats all that matters;)

    Odds... don't hide :D ... im a bl**dy good shot ... and i know where frogga lives ;)
Rockie... fingers crossed for hubbies interview:T

Frogga...have nothing but THRRRRRP to say to you - oh and ramble ramble prattle prattle ramble:rotfl:

hope everyone has a great day...except frogga of course

Don't worry folks we have PM'd each other... so we aren't really having cross words with each other :D ...

morning all! 2 days off now :D :j much easier to diet at home than work!
going to batch make some lasagne today - using skimmed milk and a little mature cheddar with lean mince, peppers, mushrooms and onions.Plus am making the sauce myself so I know whats in it!
    Here's todays plans

    28g porridge with skimmed milk

    banana

low sugar/salt spaghetti on small brown toast, sprinking of cheese

    grapes

    lasagne with steamed veggies

    low fat yoghurt

The only problem I might have is that I'm having coffee later at the W.I. with Mum and we usually have a slice of HM cake there. Have to see how good my will power is!;)

    have a good day all!

    Morning all.

MrsM - just wanted to let you know Moroccan fish is in the fridge ready to go in the oven when we get home (wishing i had a slow cooker but OH isn't convinced that we need another "gadget" and we have no room on the worktop). That marinade paste smells lovely!

Got any ideas what to do with Yellow Fin Sole? Bought some unbreaded fillets in Tesco yesterday and have no idea what to do - never had sole before!! :D
