Hi all, had a busy weekend. Cooked shep pie and lasagna for freezer (managed to smuggle red lentils in with the carrots and mince in the shep pie as well as parsnips in the mash!!
Kids ate it all).
Chopped and part cooked 2 bags of carrots for the freezer as well as a small bag of parsnips. Baked 8 jacket potatoes.
Yesterday made veg soup (using up HM chicken stock in freezer).
Today's lunch is left over shep pie
But I do have to confess to going to Lidl yesterday and buying Lebkuchen (love them) and the four of us demolished them in about 5 minutes flat - resisted the stollen cake though - but also bought some more fig rolls and me and OH had half a pack each in the evening.
Oh well, have lost a bit more weight anyway and only have one more lb to go to reach a total of 1 stone lost since July 1st. That would also make me into the "healthy" BMI range tooworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Argh! Why are weekends so much harder than week days? I seem to possess less will power simply because 'it's the weekend, give yourself a break' - anyone else get that? Not giving up just because I snacked over the weekend though.
Good luck for a new week everyone0 -

Definately much harder for me with Dh and kids about, they want all the crisps and everything. We were trying to count up all the fruit and veg we'd had and they were including crisp and banana cake!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -

Don't they count - potatoes are veg aren't they - banana is fruit
That means the fig rolls must count too :rotfl:working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
That means chocolate must count too - all those cocoa beans!:rotfl:0

Morning ladies!
I'm exhausted after the weekend - grandkids were hard work!!! Diet went out of the window and I weighed in this morning 12lbs over my target weight.....I saw a sign yesterday that said 12 weeks to Christmas  so my wish is to be at target for then!
This week might be challenging as I have nothing in the fridge, lots of veg though and the cupboards are full so with a bit of planning:rolleyes: .........
Brekkie: Granary toast and marmalade
Lunch: will have to be a shop bought butty as I have to nip to town in my lunchbreak so need to eat on the bus!
Tea: Might do a broad bean rissotto or jacket and beans depending on how hungry I am when I get in.
I've got some savoury snacks in and I've bought a tapestry kit to keep my hands occupied - thanks to whoever it was that reminded me about sewing :T :T
Have a good week one and all :A :A0 -

Chocolate is def a fruit or is it veg ? and therefore so is coffee!
(this isn't really helping is it?)Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
Clearly the Dime Bar I ate yesterday is also a veg, because it is now a has-bean
Nope, definitely not helping
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature! :eek:0 -

Just found this website, it appears to be free. It has a simple aproach to sensible basic eating, it is very long winded and I have'nt read it all yet but I am going to give it a go. From what I can gather its basicly three meals a day with life in between. Have a look see what you think. Regards.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
