Hi all, been at work all day so only just got to post!

My diet was nearly sabotaged this afternoon:mad: we had to have lunch out with a service user at a pub so I had tuna mayo jacket(healthiest thing on menu:rolleyes: )with a side salad then when we were in the supermarket the SU wanted a cake and chose a cream doughnut, the colleague I was with said I'll buy us one each too:eek: luckily I stuck to my guns and didn't have it but I have craved chocolate all afternoon, been feeling really tired too so my body must want sugar!
Work is a killer for my diet, just too much temptation everywhere!

    so far I've had

2 x small brown toasts and marmalade

    banana

    1 richtea biccie:o :D

    tuna mayo jacket and salad

    low fat yoghurt

tea is now cooking - grilled gammon, low fat chips and a FRIED EGG:eek: :D am really looking forward to it!:j

    have a great evening all!
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • thanks mrs m, as you posted i was just getting there. well we always have a scone based pizza for lunch on a saturday so i took some of that, a pasta salad, soup a few rolls and a weetabix cake, i had a small plate, like a side plate size of pasta salad and have just had 2 chicken rolls so i did really well. will probably have my soup later but i dont think ive overindulged and im quite pleased with myself, plus i did a good miles walk and a good bit of running around after Sophie and climing hills after her with the baby in a sling. thanks for all the support im pleased with how it went

Been a few days, as I was at my boyfriends house. I've not been too bad over the last few days, been having multi-grain bread for breakfast or bran flakes. Tomato sandwiches for lunch with a tiny slice of mature cheddar (a little strong for me, but it means I only have a little slice) and various dinners including jacket spud, mince pie with loads of peas and carrots. Tonight thought was a "treat night" and so we had oven chips and and a fried egg. We figured once in a while to have a little of what you fancy is alright, as long as it is only a little.

Now time to get a glass of juice and catch up on the missed days, hugs to anyone who wants one and hugs to everyone else as well :)

  • I've slipped up a few times over the last couple of days, and this morning was feeling fed up and more voluminous than ever. I went to the pub for a couple of soft drinks with my husband this afternoon, since youngest daughter was at a birthday party and we don't get chances like that on a weekend very often. I was even more fed up before we went, after finding out that my trusty black Asda Smart Price trackie bottoms (about the only thing I've got that doesn't seem to scream 'Fat chance, chubby!' at me when I put them on) were a bit of a struggle to get into.

It wasn't until I was in the pub toilet and saw the size label on the inside of them that I realised I'd accidentally put my teenage daughter's trackies away in my wardrobe and was wearing them instead. They're identical to mine (she's got cheap tastes too :) ) apart from being two sizes smaller, and there is no way I'd have got them past my knees a few weeks ago. It was all I could do not to rush out into the bar and demand that the landlord called a press conference :)

I felt so good about this that I've decided not to weigh myself tomorrow, and will do it later next week instead. Teenage Daughter's trackies don't know about those extra rounds of sarnies, but I know that the scales aren't that easily fooled so I'm not going to give them the chance to burst my bubble :)

It just goes to show how skewed our perception of our bodies can be though, and how quick our minds can be to jump to the worst conclusion. I hope everything's going well with all the other posters on the thread, and even if it isn't, it's probably a lot better than your mind is leading you to believe :)
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature!
  • *desperately peddles away like Wile E Koyote when he runs off the end of a cliff to try and keep up with the new posts... fails ! * :D Welcome Jenrigg, please do join in and enjoy ! :) well done everyone else ... recovering, dont get disheartened, 1lb loss is great - don't try and measure your results strictly in weight loss - as you say you can tell your shape has changed ! and dont forget over 2 weeks that has averaged out at 3lb a week.

Evening all ... just woken up from nap, feeling dozy and sluggish - also have some work related stuff to do this evening so don't think am going to make planned supper of scampi etc - more like pasta with pesto, tomato salad and fruit & yoghurt after - means less prep and cooking time and less washinh up too :P

Did fairly well today - weekend job was manic so didn't get to eat until 11 a.m. - baked beans with one nice thick slice of rye toast and a banana - which did me until I got home at 4 and had rice cakes, turkey, grapes and a couple of savoury biscuits, also a small bar of chocolate, but resisted crisps, fizzy etc.

Have a good evening everyone, I gotta crack on with some minute writing or else will be eating dinner and midnight !

  • Lol, P+p!!
  • well done pounds and pensieve thats a fantastic achievement and your right the scales neednt know when your clothes are doing such a good job of boosting your esteem! im a big believer that the scales arent the be all and end all and when i get close to where i want to be i will be paying far more attention to clothes than lbs
  • Forgot to say MrsM, yes, a smear of cheese and a big air pocket, yup thats what pee's me off about shop pasties and made me want to make my own - thanks for the filling suggestion, sounds good ! I just use oil and butter ( rather than sprays ) but less of it - I don't think fat is the enemy, just too much too often of the wrong kinds is !

*looks at word doc mid typing * Umph, only 4 items out of about 15 to go...why do I always end up typing the blinking minutes of tenant meetings..* sighs and plods on*

    Morning all,

Didn't get time to post yesterday as I was VERY busy doing LOTS of housework. Now I'm working 5 days I have to blitz on Saturday. Made me feel good though as it's a lovely smart clean pad today , and now I can relax:rotfl:

Quickly nipped to Felixstowe yesterday with Mr Frog and the Tadpoles. We had a couple of errands to run , anyway we were there at lunch time and they wanted chips! I thought " Fine , but not for me , I'll have a sandwich when I get home" The queue was very long so we had to wait a while. I changed my mind 7 times in the queue as to wether I'd have some or not! It was the typical "oh go on have a treat you deserve it" argument against " NO don't , this will be the start, then you'll go home and pig". I really hate it when I'm so messed up with what choice to make because of those two voices. Does anyone else get that? Anyway I didn't have any. To begin with I was cheesed off. I felt fed up that they can all eat chips but I cant. Then I thought it was by far the best decision as the chips on their own would have been fine, but I would definitly have come home and binged. Once I'm not in the right frame of mind anymore I've had it! Anyway the long and short of it is at the moment I cant allow myself to give in. Oneday maybe things will be different but not yet. I feel GREAT this morning and I really can see a difference in the mirror so now I'm doubly pleased with yesterdays choice:T

Have a good day all, and welcome to the newbys xx

  • Good for you frogga, you stamped down temptation that you knew would sidetrack you.

    well, still struggling......................

had beans + cheese on toast for lunch, HM pizza for dinner - roasted veg + chicken w/pesto on wm base. It was very nice, even if I did make it myself.

Got half left for lunch today, not sure what I;m going to do for dinner tonight. Got 1 more chicken breast.................. might make a canneloni filling with it and veg tom sauce...............
