Morning everyone
Well done frogga..chips never taste as nice as they smell anyway... so you would only have been disappointed;) ..its the oodles of vinegar that makes em smell so nice:p ..and they would never have tasted as good as you now feel...woohooo:j
Hubby has tootled off to golf....shock horror  ...so i have the house to myself.... will definitely be sitting on my behind x stitching ... got up and did hubby some sausage sandwiches this morning...even though they are HM sausages - i really didn't want any..so i had weetabix mmmmmm...lunch will probably be a yoghurt:j or tinned fruit...grapefruit -yum.. i could live on those yogs... and then tea tonight is going to be HM savoury meat pie with veggies. Am making an effort to work through all the food i have cooked and frozen over the last few weeks... so will need very little in the way of shopping this month :T apart from milk and yogs of course:p ..im hoping to stash 400euros from this months shopping budget:shhh: ....only spent 9euros this week :rotfl: ....
Glad i took advantage of buying 10 kilo potatoes for £1.40 3 kilo of carrots for 70p, 10 kilo of cabbage for £2 and 5kilo apples for £2... will be doing the same when i shop next month..and freezing batches of cabbage n carrots again...it is turning out to be a god send...especially when you go out for the day and are really hungry... normally we would have eaten something whilst we were out "to save me cooking" but now i know tha i can grab HM stuff out of the freezer and still have a proper dinner on a plate in under 30 mins....:T
Mousey - well done on the weight loss...just imagine that as packs of lard or butter...its a great loss :T . When you are looking for your recipe..i can almost be certain that it is always in one of the last boks i look in and if i start at the back it will be at the front....i have 75 cook books, plus cookery mags and sometimes it drives me crazy...especially when i swear blind it is in 1 book and its not!!!!
Hester - thankyou for all the support..its really appretiated
Jennrigg..welcomehope you are feeling a little perkier soon...
Taplady - well done on resisting the temptation :T .. its amazing how many saboteurs(sp) are out there isn't it!! -even though a lot of hem are well meaning! i have found that as long as i can get out of the shop/supermarket without whatever it is..im fine.. but if it goes into the trolley..it then sits in my cupboard calling my name:p ..My hubby cam home the other day with 2 bags of pork scratchings ..eughhhh and a multi pack of quavers, he has a big bag of pistatios in the cupboard and for the last few weeks he has been having ice-cream... and non of it has bothered me:j we have decided that we have swapped roles:rotfl: ...mind you pork scratchings... i would rather chew my own toe nails (if i could reach them :rotfl: )....
Debtfree..... welll done on enjoying your day out..see it wasn't anything to get worked up about and it sounds like you had a great day... hope it did you good - and it sounds like you got home feeling really possitive
Toonie- well done on still eating well, even though someone else was in charge of the kitchen... it can make it sooo difficult can't it??? when we go to hubbies brother and his wife i end up buying salads, cooked meats, fruit etc...as even when im not "watching my weight" i really don't like fried foods, take aways etc..and after 2 day eating like that we both feel awfull.... i think they are used to me now..they will get up... have no brekkie.. might grab a burger mid afternoon or not..and then have a huge meal late in the evening.. ... i need to eat regularly through the day or i feel like death warmed up...
pounds.... you made me laugh so much last night... going out in your daughters clothes :rotfl: ....imagine if DD had gone out in yours...ooh that would have been funny....my hubby did it once.. he has some black addidas shorts for PT at work..and my teenage neice was staying with us..i didn't know she had some too...so i washed them and put them away. Hubby came home from work chuntering ..as he had gone to put his shorts on, thought they looked a bit small but pulled them up anyway (god knows how he got em on)... and apparently made his eyes water.. he reckons he looked like Borat in THAT awful swimsuit he wears...:rotfl: ..unwanted image.. so its not just you
Congratulations on the Inches lost though.. what a boost.. i hope you jigged out of the loos with the lable hanging out for all to see:D
Odds....No need to struggle mrs.... whats the problem? is it something you are craving, just feeling hungry in general or finding it hard to feel satisfied with what you are eating?.... let us know and we will see if we can come up with any ideas to help....new recipes etc
Well im sorry if i have missed anyone...im sure there will have been other posts whilst i have been typing my essay:o ..
Keep up the good work everyone..we are all making good progress:T .. me thinks a pat on the back to us all is due..

Right this is it - I've been dithering and hovering since Frogga started her challenge on the daily (didn't join in then as I knew what would happen:rolleyes: ) and I'm going to join the challenge tomorrow.
Brief history - as a child and young adult I was a skinnymalink, one of those who could eat anything and not put a pick on. After birth of DS I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, although not until the weight had crept up. It's been creeping for the last 20 years until last Oct I reached 15stone:o . My brother in law died on 4th Oct last year and it triggered me to diet (although his death had nothing to do with his weight). I lost 21 lbs by January and then started to put it back on again. I now weigh 14st 4lbs and the anniversary of BiLs death has made me decide to give it another go.
I eat pretty healthily - except for my addiction to chocolate, so that's going tobe my challenge, keeping away from it. Frogga you have described exactly a conversation I had with myself in mid-week except substitute chocolate for chips. I did win that battle but it's a real struggle. think that i'll try to post on here every time I get a chocolate craving so that you can all shout me down.
Looking forward to tomorrow.

Well done for finding the motivation to start again snoozer, its hard isnt it but you can do it, well help.
ive taken a pot from the kitchen today and put £3 into it, by the time im at my target weight i will have saved £89 if i save £1 for every 1lb lost by then i will definitely need some new clothes so i can put that money to buying the new bits ill need. plus hopefully it should stop me 'rewarding' myself with food. ive had probably a little too much weetabix cake today but at least its relatively low fat etc.0 -
Evening all
well today i have had :-- 2 weetabix for brekkie
- lunch - some crispbreads with low fat cream cheese and then a peach n marracuya yog
- 2 apples
- tea was(well we are 1hr in front:o )...Hm savoury meat pie, cabbage, nobbies and broccoli...
Hi snoozer ...welcome on board... we are all a pretty merry bunch..and hopefully you will get loads of hints n tips on here... I won't shout at you about you choc addiction... but i may rattle on to distract you when you are wanting some..you have been warned
...
Debtfree... thats a good idea.... will be nice to go out and treat yourself to some new slimline clothes..without thinking about where the money is coming from... i have pots for allsorts..- 1 for gold coins
- 1 for bronze coins
- 1 for 2 euros
- 1 for leftover money from my 80euro shopping challenge
- oh and one that i put the money that i get back from returning my pop bottles in!!!
for me... then i would have £*x! oops sorry i think my numbers have stopped working :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:....no lets be honest folks all in all i want to shift 10 st  ..that is including the 1st8.5lb that has gone  ....so im getting towards losing 1/5 of what i want..which makes it sound a bit better
Cant' believ that for the first time ever - i don't feel daunted by the task ahead:T ..strangely enough i feel really motivated and optimistic:j ..
Well i hope everyone is having a good day... including those who don't get to post so often... you know who you are..we haven't forgotten you

Hello All,
Snoozer, get yourself some hot choc drink or something - the more you deny yourself something the more you want it?? (You can also use it to make a choc sauce) that way whenever you need a chocky fix you can - my problem is cheese - oh gawd in Tesco they have huge picture of wedding/xmas cake made out of cheese - I would scoff the lot...
Mrs M - many thanks I found it in the end & made self some borsch for lunch (was gorgeous if I say so)....
debtfree - you will never need to lose that particular lb again..well done gal!!!
Frogga - Good going!!
Now, how can I persuade darling let me order weekly box of veg to keep us on the right track? I know what he'll say - its cheaper at the market etc etc
Break a leg gals..........0 -
Hi mousey
Try pointing out that:-- He won't have to go shopping for it - my hubby hates it when i make him go to the "bad place"-supermarket to you and me;)
- you won't be tempted to buy "extras" whilst at the market
- No petrol money costs, wear n tear on the car / long bus journeys
- the time that would be spent fetching veg, could be used for cooking more yummy food
- you know exactly how much you will be spending on veg every time.. great for budgeting
- and most importantly... it will make you happy...thus leading to him having a quieter and happier life
