  • Hi all,

Didn't have time to post yesterday but I was good. :A Didn't eat between meals, had nothing sweet and nothing bad for me either. :j Started well today too so I hope it continues.

    Breakfast: toast with beans
Lunch: leftover curry with a small amount of pilau rice and some fruit.
Dinner: as lunch - I have some leftover and can't freeze it as there is just no room. :o I won't throw it out as using up all my leftovers saved me a fortune last month and the year isn't going to get any cheaper. :D However it has more veg than chicken in it so it is v healthy.
Supper: toast with maybe a banana.

mrs mcawber just read about your calf muscle on the daily. OUCH!!! Hope you start to feel a difference soon.

I'm off to buy a hoover as mine has completely died on me - no shame to it though, it is 18 years old! RIP Electrolux.

Well done to those who are noticing a difference with all their good efforts. :T :T :T :T

Well, yesterday didn't go eactly as planned. For my snacks I didn't eat my 2x apples instead ended up eating a frusli bar, a packet of crisps and 3 digestive biscuits............Pretty annoyed with myself.

Today I missed breakfast as I got up late and also had to pop shop after dropping kids off so had a small banana when i got back in at 10ish, i have just eaten a lovely ham salad, and tonight i have planned for dinner gammon,mash,veg...And inbetween i will only eat fruit.

I didn't do too well on the bike yest either was struggling to make my 10k but i am putting that down to a strenuous karate workout on sat and cycling 13k on the sunday, I am thinking of either giving it a miss today or just doing a gentle 20 mins......

well done to you all who are sticking with it, i must say, two and a half weeks in and i am waning a bit myself.

    Mel x

I have been going to aquatone once a week for a year now. I work 1.5 miles to or from work (depending on the weather) and I'm part of a team that is swimming 22 miles for charity (see sig :D ).

Anyway..back to the job in hand.....

    Hi there Amanda :D ....

Don't be embarrassed flower..we are all on here for the same reason.. to get healthy eating habbits in place once and for all:T ... we all have different amounts to lose and different demons to fight..but we will all get there - and that includes you;) ....
Can i just say "hells bells" - you aren't having much to eat today are you
Please don't be too drastic.... your body will only try and hold on to what you do give it.. You will get loads of hints n tips on here from all the lovely folks...and most importantly loads of support....

    redmel

They recommend that you exercise on alternate days - and let your body rest inbetween - so don't be hard on yourself for "struggling to bike 10k" ... heck i only walked for a total of 50 mins yesterday - well walked half way and limped back:rotfl: ....So you are still getting lots of exercise....:T .. give yourself some credit and a pat on the back...

    Anniebooklover

18 years for 1 vaccume... wow thats earnt its keep hasn't it :p .... wish they were that good now....
Im like you at the moment...i have been busy batch cooking and blanching veg and now i only have a bit of space left.. which i want to keep -just in case any amazing bargains come up :rotfl: ... Still in true OS style im making food go sooooo far its quite amazing.... the great thing is, that whilst im a bit less mobile at the moment we will still be eating really well OS style....and so i have no excuse for eating unhealthy :j..plus i have joined the oct shopping challenge, so that will save some cash:D

    patentgirl
The leg doesn't hurt half as much as the teeth  ... still it makes eating less tempting ;) ..
Have to ask..what is hokey pokey?....

    Debtfree

I will be fine....im a tough old boot ya know;)

    Kittyscarlett
Hope you have had a good day out today..... and i will be joining you on the "eating out of the fridge/freezer/cupboards" this week too:T ... i have for once kept a list on the PC of what we have and apart from a couple of bit (that i can't think of at the moment)..im sure we could eat out of there for at least 4 weeks :p .. may have to give it a go :rotfl: ....and non of it is ready made stuff:j its all stuff i have made and put in there..very OS don't ya know;)
In fact, when i have done this - im gonna check my list and draw up a meal planner for the next 4 weeks:rotfl:

    Rockie -
have you tried cross stitching? not only is it addictive..but i can't think of anything else whilst im doing it...you would be amazed how quickly time passes...
Have you tried sugar free jelly yet? i swear by them... a whole one is 40cals..and i pour mine into individual dishes with some tinned fruit..a god send when you get the munchies....might be worth a try

Alfiesmum...so glad you like those seasonings...did you manage to get those ones i think are called "shots"? - i thought they might work :T .. its amazing what we can come up with when we are desperate enough isn't it :rotfl:
I mentioned to someone the other day... that if you get the low fat cream cheese - like philli but the cheap ones ;) ... put some in a bowl with a tiny drop of milk...mix it well and zap briefly in the microwave you get a lovely alternative to cheese sauce.... just thought that might be nice to dip the wedges in as a treat...and you can get different flavours too... its nice over pasta etc too...just a thought:D

M.E...well done on the loss:T ..keep up the good work:j

Vixtress.... fancy trying to avoid us  (now if i don't see your name popping up on a regular basis...i know to contact you:rotfl: )...well done ...you see -you have realised that you haven't been quite as keen on keeping an eye on what n how much you are eating..and done something about it...you have come back to us :j . 4 squares of choc...very restrained... i used to adore really dark organic choc and do you know -now the smell of it makes me feel sick...its bizzar.... mind you - thankfully i don't fancy any other kind either:j

    Toonie..
1st breakfast, 2nd breakfast, - i love the lord of the rings..1 of my fave films.
How great that you don't feel bad about 1 bit of choc cake... its great when you can now eat something without beating yourself up about it isn't it :D .. after years of eating stuff then feeling bad about it..

Well i hope i haven't missed anyone...if i have im sorry..sending hugs and loads of support your way everyone

Oooh goody, more recipes from MrsMc - Hope the leg (and teeth) get better soon (but not too soon if it means more recipes posted :D) Just kidding.

I've been ill for a couple of days and back at work today. Just been to sainsbury (their cod fillets and tinned tuna seem cheaper than anywhere else). Guess what two things they didn't have any of??? OH's new eating plan (based on body building) consists of breakfast, and then 4 small meals. One of which he has decided is to be cod, one tuna baked potato and one chicken. Well the chicken is ok as Aldi do some ready cooked bits but I thought I'd found the answer to the cod too, with Sainsbury fillets £2.50 for 6. But they don't have any left

So because I'm annoyed and have to go back again, I bought some fig rolls and have eaten... a few... erm half a pack :o And I bought some innocent smoothies, and some tuna steaks - so that's the grocery budget out the window

Hello Amanda!!! :hello: :hello: Welcome , it's a great place to come and get ideas, support, encouragement...you name it! Best of luck on your weight loss journey. If you can handle Brownies and guides you can do ANYTHING!

My daughter has been in Guides since rainbows and is now in Rangers & young leader with a brownie pack. Yourself and other leaders around the country make a fantastic difference to a lot of young girls lives, without a thing in return -thank you. My daughter has gained so much self confidence, and experiences that will see her through life (she's hoping to be chosen for international camp next year - that should loose me a good few lbs - I fret whenever she's not here, and shes 15 soon!)
