I'm already struggling :o I've been out for a walk but had to cut it short as my ankle starting to niggle and I don't want to permenantly damage it! But any walk is better than sitting on my bum at the computer :rotfl:

Also feeling quite down today. Splitting up with my OH is taking it's toll on me emotionally (I don't want to split up) and comfort eating is my biggest weakness. So far today I've managed to resist but the crisps that I bought for OH & DD's lunches are calling to me. I'd drown them out with music but I have a headache:mad:

Sooo I'm going to take a wander down to our local Aldi (more exercise) and see if they have any silicone bakeware left. Trying to loose weight but still baking? I hear you cry :rotfl::rotfl: I'm trying to cut back on grocery costs so baking muffins & the like to go in packed lunches keeps the costs down there and I FREEZE them, taking one or two out each night so they can defrost ready for the lunches the next day. ;) ALso makes me wait if I decide to treat myself to one. My muffins/cakes aren't too bad though as my most popular one is a "spiced prune cake". Might come back a bit later to ask for some help with changing the recipes I have to make them healthier/low fat. ;)

    Hello all :D

Well im sure someone somewhere is trying to test my resistance... when i went a walk last week....it peed it down on me, made my shoes rub and gave me blisters  ... i have been for a walk today-to the garden centre, coming out i felt -and heard  an almighty pop in the back of my calf....ouch_pale_ ... thought i was gonna be stuck as i couldn't put my foot down to start with... had no choice though as hubby was at work and we don't have a mobile (not that we use anyway).... so i verrry slowly made it back :p ...so i now have a pain running from my calf right up my thigh  ..god it hurts... have an ice pack on it now, and have rung hubby to get me an appointment on camp ...9:30 in the morning..wouldn't normally bother but it has left pins n needles in my leg...

But i will not give in  .... and i had 4 ryvitas with some tuna and prawn salad spreads...and an apple...

Nicki.... sorry you aren't feeling great at the moment... keep on going mrs.. you will get there...we will all get there..just take little tiny steps..even a small change will have results.. don't wory about the 1lb we all do that sometimes - you could be holding water, could be the time of the month thats having affect or anything...so just write it off ;)
I still cook heaps too -(mainly savoury as hubby doesn't have much of a sweet tooth)..i have loads of portions of pies, pasties etc in the freezer - and i am still eating them and losing weight..so just keep going - you can do it:T
Moneyowen, redmel and patentgirl .... well done on the weight losses:T ....

Rockie4...thats the attitude :T ...you can't do anything about yesterday, and i bet you weren't as piggy as you would have been before this ;) ..so well done :D

    debtfree - :T
A bit of anything isn't going to do anyone any harm...so woohoo on saying "no thanks" to what was left....bet you enjoyed the bit you had, much more than if you had eaten it all!!! and NO GUILT..:j

    Kittyscarlett

sorry things are stressfull at the moment.... don't beat yourself up about it..i'm sure you are still eating better than you were before ;) .... just try n get through each day as it happens..sometimes will be better than others... but you will do it :D

  • Hi everyone,
I'm not on the boards much but it looks like loads of people have been doing really well, congratulations to everyone who's lost weight!
My final year as a drama student is keeping me fit thankfully (although after body pump today I wasn't so much thankful as exhausted!), but I thought I would share another tasty and healthy recipe with you all. I love to share food ideas! I made this for the first time the other night and it was really delicious, and virtually fat free!! It's also another great recipe for just chucking spare veg etc into and using stuff up - I'm a big fan of recipes like that! You can pretty much use whatever herbs you want, I've just put down the ones that I tried.

    Curried Lentil and Vegetable soup.

    Makes 2/3 servings

    1/2 large onion, finely chopped
1 large carrot, chopped into rings
    1 medium sized potato, cubed
    1/2 large courgette, cubed
a few large cabbage leaves, shredded
1/2 stock cube (chicken or vegetable, depending on your preference)
    3 large mugs hot water
1 large mug red lentils (check they don't have to be soaked first)
1 tablespoon medium curry powder (adjust depending on how spicy/mild you like it!)
fresh oregano and basil, if you have them
    olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste

Saute the onion, carrot, potato and courgette in olive oil for about 5 mins, until they begin to soften. Add the curry powder and cabbage and fry for about 30 seconds before adding the stock, hot water and lentils. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for about 40 mins, stirring regularly, until the lentils are tender. Shred the fresh herbs and add, along with salt and pepper to taste.

It freezes really well so you can always make up big batches. Guilt-free tastiness!
    Suzie xx

From the bottom of my heart Thankyou all for being here for me.

I haven't binged today , and I'm looking forward to this comming month so I can keep loosing and get all that praise again on 1st Nov:T I tell you , no drug makes you feel that good:T xx

You all bought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat ( and it wasn't a sticky toffee I swallowed whole! ~ damm , I knew I couldn't get all the way through a post without being silly:mad: )

I have no idea - when I got there it's the completely flimsy stuff and I wasn't impressed for £2.99 each  There was loads left, but I really couldn't justify paying that price for 6-muffin-try thing when I can buy nearly 10 packets of 100 cake cases for the same price and not have as much washing up:eek::eek::eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Had pasta bake for tea - found myself having seconds & picking the melted cheese topping off the leftovers :o As soon as I realised I stopped though which is an improvement :rotfl::rotfl: Feel sick though now as I'm so stuffed and bloated :o That will teach me.

Evening all...not been too bad today. When I'm at work I have mini-meals, so don't be surprised to read a second breakfast (no I'm not a hobbit-I'm a nanny, so eat whenever really:)).

At home I had a slice of toast with a little marmalade for breakfast and a cup of tea.
After I'd brought one of the squirts to morning nursery (good 15 minute walk up-hill pushing heavy buggy) I had one weetabix with milk and a sprinkle of brown sugar.
    I had a banana for a snack.
Lunch was 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 slices of french bread toasted and a huge bowl of peas and sweetcorn (around 3 servings of veggies).
    Snack was stewed apple.

My only downfall today was it was one of the kids birthday and I had a slice of chocolate birthday cake, but I don't feel guilty for it as it was lovely and I've had a lot of walks today, an hours worth of pushing a buggy and half an hour on my own, split into fifteen minute segments.

Dinner tonight is a baked potato with a little butter, followed by raspberries and yoghurt.

Frogga-well done, thats a great weightloss. To everyone else here keep going, this is best support I've ever had, so a big thank you.

    Hugs to all xxx
