Well done to all the losers
i have realised that i have been avoiding the board for a day or two, this is a sure fire sign that my motivation is goingi havent had any huge blowouts but am finding myself not being quite so determined and strict as i was, its aslipeery slope when this starts to happen.
please can i have a kick up the bum to direct me back up the slope.
today i have had....
2 slices of toast with a scrape of butter and lemon curd
a little bowl of special k
glass of pure fruit smoothie
left over roast chicken & veg with a splodge of mash
2 reduced fat sausages and loads of roast veg, carrots, parsnips and red onion (the whole tray was only done with 1 tbs of oil though)
4 squares of lovely dark chocolate
not too bad but i still need a kick- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Weighed myself this morning, lost 3lb, :jso it is slow but sure. Thank you to all on the Frogga amazing Weight Challenge.
Spent most of last week in bed... M.E. floors me at times.
Trying to cut down on portion size.
Today..
breakfast ;2 oatabix, milk, coffee (real coffee with dash of milk!)
lunch : cold chicken, pickled pepper, several cherry tomatoes, cucumber
afternoon: banana and cup of tea
evening: corn fed chicken breast, green beans, mashed potato, pickled peppers, small portion of icecream.
I managed to get the chicken, pickled peppers and tomatoes at reduced price late on Friday, so eating healthily was not so expensive.0 -
Thanks MrsM for the kind words, I do hope your leg is feeling a little better - I detest that awful popping sound and searing pain
luckily haven't had that for a while but fully sympathise. And frogga, very glad you now have adjusted perspective re : the weight loss, cos it really is good going ! and as for the rest of ya's *puts on Young Mr Grace voice ( wow that dates me :P )* " You're all doing very well ! ".
Am doing better myself. Still exhausted and stressed but managed to make weekday job line manager aware so he is going to give me more support and also making sure I get to take some leave soon. Drinking water for England right now as didnt manage to drink/eat much during the day, also am very happy as at last have hm quorn casserole bubbling away downstairs, the smell drifting up the stairs is delicious and I am so pleased that I feel able to make some proper food... cooking is life
I was thinking about the word losersand what it could stand for... um.. maybe... Lovely Old Style Eating Reduces Squishybits ? heheeh... ok ok, you come up with a better one

Well done Frogga, excellent!
I've been a little piggy today - alone in the house it was chain-tea-drinking.
Had a nice dinner of grilled gammon steak and peas but I was starving by 9.00.
To any runners, Lidl has sports bras next week. I had to give up running coz my knees went but I used to wear 2 sports bras at once so I felt totally encased and didin't budge at all!!
I'm 'only' a 36 D but before kids I was 34AA:eek:
So i notice the difference!!Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
Frogga, you've done absolutely brilliantly! Doesn't that average 4lb a week:eek: . Fantastic. That's me decided, it's a monthly weigh in for me too I think, next update 1st November - let's go for it!!:j :j
I managed to find something to flavour the healthy home made crisps. And packet of stuff I've been using the day before! The spice pack from a fajitas box, and someones suggestion (can't remember but thank you so much) of those potato wedges flavourings was inspired! Tasted really lovely, and NO fat what so ever. Brilliant if you fancy a naughty snack you can keep going back to them throughout the day (well, okay they didn't last the day, but I was occupied for a good hour there!).0 -
Morning ladies!
I was a piggy again last night  - I reall must find something to occupy myself instead of just watching the tv, OH was out last night and boredom is one of my triggers  Might drag out the knitting I think tonight.
Been for a swim this morning, brought oats, yoghurt and fruit for brekkie, last nights leftover parsnip, leek and ginger stew for lunch and polenta topped chilli pie for tea!
I will not pig tonight:o I will not pig tonight:o I will not pig tonight:o0 -
Morning folks
I didn't get a huge amount of sleep but am feeling more relaxed as it's my day off, and have friend coming at 11 o clock to take me out for a bit - where, I don't know, ANYWHERE away from here will be fine ! Seeing as the weather is a bit manky for woodland walking, its a fair certainty that at some point we will either end up at a farm shop or a garden centre, fine by meI don't have a meal plan for today as such, have started off with hot water and lemon ( which I actually really like and should have more often ) and will have lunch out.
I think I am going to try and make every other week a " live off the cupboards and freezer week " as I am aware that I'm not delving into either often enough. Despite thinking I had only made a small portion, there was enough of last night's quorn casserole to freeze down two containers for another time
Another thing OS healthy eating has given me... I have a really lovely kitchen, airy, spacious, loads of storage etc, and decorated in warm earthy terracota... but for the last year and a half for several reasons have not enjoyed being in it... but now I am really starting to love using it and being in it again... once more its becoming my favourite room in the house
Rockie, knitting etc would be good, or maybe having just healthy snacks around - depends on whether you're getting a sweet or savoury craving - fruit, veggies, soup, oat or rice cakes etc. I think the apple crisps suggested by others earlier is a good one - satisfies the need for something sweet and something crunchy at the same time" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. Morning All
Well i have been to the doctors this morning, after yesterdays escapade whilst taking a walk to burn some extra cals.... and it turns out i have torn my calf muscle...the exact same thing as my mum did a few weeks ago:rolleyes: .. have been sent back with orders to take things gently for 7-10 days walking only as and when i feel able..oh and some syringes of stuff to thin my blood to stop me getting DVT like mum had....supposed to inject myself :rotfl: ... im not scared of needles, but not sure about injecting myself..and hubby doesn't look to happy to do it either:rolleyes: ..still i will sort it out...
I told you all that someone was trying to test my determination to exercise and lose weight :rotfl:
Anyway... have just chopped and apple and had that....struggling to eat as i think i have an infection under my bridge  ....so my top jaw is throbbing -got an appointment on friday..hopefully an exray will confirm its an infection and antibiotics should deal with it:p
On the plus side... it will make me less likely to eat too much, whilst sat on my backside unable to exercise... so one should cancel out the other:rotfl:
Will catch up on the posts in a moment.... just have to make a couple of calls and then i will be back and see what has happened since i went to bed
Have a good one everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
