    If I had £1 for everytime I'd had a binge I wouldn't have any debts :D
I must admit since listening to Paul McKenna my binges are MUCH less - in both frequency and quantity!
Belly dancing was great fun :j I really felt like I 'd had a workout so I bypassed the gym after work and went shopping instead - JS has got 25% off their cloothes until Monday so I got a top and a cardigan for £14, really pleased as I got a size smaller than usual :j :j
Had my quorn fillets and rice followed by a small bowl of ice cream and am now full.
Weigh in in the morning so I think I'll be good tonight:rolleyes:

  • Didn't get time to post this morning... work was horribly annoyingly hectic. Well done everyone, one day at a time, we are all getting there in one way or another.

meanmarie, I can only add to the requests to not beat yourself over the cake episode. It does NOT mean your efforts are over and that you have failed. A lot of us have had similar episodes... the whole packet of biscuits/cakes/multipack of crisps/a whole cow's worth of cheese or what have you, disappearing down one's gullet with a speed astonishing in its rapacity and totally unable to stop. If there is a world record for fastest consumption of an entire packet of Jaffa cakes, I have probably come perilously near it at times. Its very easy to get into the cycle of eat badly - can't stop - hate self - then say o why bother lets eat junk anyway. But you can start breaking out of it ... the time between binges will get longer as time passes, I promise :) so, sorry but we are being nice to you :P so crumble a bit and have a little cry and then come back and start again :D

So, today, thankfully I feel mostly better if a touch wiped out ( blinking time of the month arrived right on top of yesterdays tummy bug, O Joy ) Breakfast was a banana and a chocolate Provamel drink, late lunch wholemeal toast, bit of cheese and a tomato, and I actually had a proper dinner tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it - cold turkey, tomato chive and cress salad, sauteed potatoes ( using up Mondays leftovers ) with thyme and sage from the garden, and button crimini mushrooms cooked in a dab of butter in the oven - deebloominglicious. Have been craving something sweet and carbish for the last hour or so, am going to have a toasted teacake with a spoonful of jam and a cuppa :)

  • I had my tea at around 5.45 and at the moment I am STARVING - so I thought I would have a browse through the thread again for some inspiration. I made liver for tea and did it my usual way of coating with a little flour and then frying in a bit of sunflower oil, but I really drained it well and then patted it dry on lots of kitchen roll before I ate it. I had it with green beans, carrots and about 2tbs of hm mushy peas, with some onion and mushrooms which I cooked in a non stick pan with a tiny bit of oil. It was lovely and there is loads left over for tomorrow's lunch or dinner. DD2 asked to taste the liver and loved it, which is a minor miracle as usually both DD's baulk all over the place if I make liver or kidneys. I didn't have any afters, but just now I had two ryvitas with 2 tsps of peanut butter on - I love peanut butter but I have to ration it as I can easily go on eating it!

I have found that today, even though I haven't had that much liquid, I have been going to the loo every hour or so - I hope its the diet finally starting to shift the fluid before it starts getting rid of the fat - I find when I haven't been eating healthily for a while I get really bad fluid retention, which goes away if I cut out the sugar and and stuff.

I don't know whether or not to weigh myself on Sunday, which will be the end of my first week, or whether or not to wait for a month - can't decide - what would you do? Good luck tomorrow Mrs M!

I am going to start the telly programme thingie that Frogga suggested with Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night. I think I will have another browse through the OS board a bit and then make a cup of hot milk before bed.

hope you are all having a nice evening.

Hey it's only been 2 days and someone at work today asked me if I'd lost weight!! Way-hay! Must be standing taller or something!
I will weigh myself on Sat at the gym - I go when my DS2 is a karate -I don't actually have scales in the house.
A couple of weeks ago at the gym I saw this young gorgeous slim girl going round all the excercise machines and between each one she was weighing herself and sighing, I really felt sorry for her, she was perfect but couldn't see it herself. Anyway no danger of me being like that.

Hello to everybody, my brain isn't up to getting all the names down like you guys, but like recovering.. I'm starving at the mo, 10.30, I'll try and make do with a cuppa and an oatcake.
And who had the loose trousers? Well done!
Some nice recipes too ta, I've got one that I found at the bottom of my desk drawer which I'll try tomorrow:
    Chicken (or Quorn) fillets
Red onion chopped into chunky pieces
    salami - sliced
    cherry tomatoes
    garlic to taste
    rosemary olive oil

Put everything in a oven proof dish and drizzle the olive oil over the top and bake in a medium hot oven for 30 mins.

Sounds easy, but I reckon the chorizo will give up quite a bit of fat so that will need to be drained off prob.
I'll have brown rice with it I think.
Just call me Nodwah the thread killer

big <<<<<<hugs>>>>> to those who are doing well, and big <<<<<hugs>>>>> to those who are not doing so well.
    I come into the latter
Today I have been fed up big style, so have been eating comfort food (I am also sitting here typing this with a BIG glass of wine)
    Breakfast - toast and marmalade
lunch - fried egg sarnie (but it was that spray fat I fried it in)
Tea - fish finger sarnie (fish fingers were grilled)
All I can say in my favour at being OS was the bread was HM.:rotfl:

I think that at the moment, I am too stressed to enter the ideal of this thread properly, I know that sounds like a cop out, its the going back to work thing and now my daughter is giving me stress too.

Will start posting again when my head stops spinning......but, I will keep reading this thread, albeit to show me what i should be doing :rotfl:
So good luck and hugs to all

    Hiya fellow weightlosers!
My check in for the day... It started off well. When I got up, I put on my workout clothes an done 20 minutes of a pilates dvd I have.

I have a smoothie made out of mixed frozen veggies and water.
A peach and a plum for a snack.
Cheese salad with 2 ritz crackers and a cream cracker for lunch
Greens and smoked mackerel for dinner.
Then I ended up drinking nearly half a bottle of port. I feel like I've messed up whole day!
Getting there... A deal at a time. :T

Looks like some of us are struggling at the mo so thought today we could all be REALLY possitive:T and get right back on track. Went for a long walk with 2 of my SIL's yesterday and boy can I feel it!!! Must have done good then.

Keep going guys, and for those that are struggling , think about really trying to get back on the wagon on Mon. It's a GREAT day to start ~ It's the begining of the week and it's the 1st Oct so new pages on callendars.:T

Only 3 more days til weigh day and not binged all day ( well it is only 4.30am so there's plenty of time!!)

  • I'm also struggling to get/keep on healthy eating... why do I love everything that's unhealthy!!

Frogga, you're right about Monday being a good day to restart, I have a busy weekend including a christening which is being catered for by a superduper expensive restaurant so I'm really looking forwards to my Sunday lunch :D I'm going to try today and tomorrow to eat better then enjoy Sunday and reweigh on Monday

Hugs to all who are struggling... why aren't we told it's much easier not to get fat in the first place than to lose it

I have a friend who is loaded (money wise, not with drugs!). Everything comes so easy to her as money is never a problem. Her DH is an MD of a multinational company though she hasn't worked for years. As a consequence she doesn't appriciate ANYTHING. I had to save for 3 years to buy a carpet for the Front room and therefore it is spotless as I know how much sweat and toil went into getting it.

It's the same with weight loss. It's going to be tough. It will take a while. Sometimes we'll fall off the wagon. When we finally reach our goal we'll appriciate it so much more. Nothing that comes easy is ever worth having. Only THEN will we be able to control it as we'll remember how we feel now.

    Roll on that day xx:T
