I was a bit naughty last night - cold and bored, finished the chocolates and then had a sclice of toast OOps!:o But today is another day, Had soaked oats with yoghurt and fruit for brekkie, have just had a banana and a snackpack of raisins and cranberries.
Lunch is a hummus and beetroot sandwich on granary bread and an apple
Tea will be tikka quorn fillets with rice - not OS I knowbut they were on offer in JS's and I'll be late home so need something quick!
Exercise today is belly dancing at lunchtime - love it :j :j and either the gym or a swim after work
I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning, after all the chocs ;) I'll be happy to have stayed the same this week!

I made up a nice sauce last night, chopped leeks and gently fried (in a drop of oil), added equal (ish) amounts of soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and some honey. Then added about ¼-½ carton of passata and whole cherry tomatoes and cooked till the tomatoes went soft and split. Yum - we had it with salmon steaks and new potatoes.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

That sounds yummy, I might try that with plain quorn fillets at the weekend.:T

When I found OS board I was one of those who follow a recipe completely - seems weird to think now I'm making up sauces.

Another one I do with salad is equal bits of balsamic vinegar, honey and wholegrain mustard - very tangy!!! ;)

I do something similar only we usually have it over pasta... think I might get some fish or quorn (I will get OH eating it :rotfl: ) next time I go shopping and try it with that.

  • Hi all,

wonder if any of you can post a recipe for crumble mix for me, i really fancy a small crumble and custard so thought if i did a smallish one between me and the girls after tea id be happy and not feel hard done by without having too much.

got some apples that need eating up so i think its a good os idea :D. have searched the indexed thread but couldnt see one, i know its probably very simple but usually i buy a ready made one :o

i can put it together as i only buy the crumble mix and do my own fruit usually, just not sure what to put in the mix

    thanks all
  • Hi Everyone - well done on your loss Taplady!

I managed to get through last night but I was really hungry and kept looking in the fridge - does anyone else do this? I look in for about 2 minutes and then go back out of the kitchen and then come back in an hour later and look again - as if something is going to magically appear?

Anyway stuck with it yesterday and today have had dry ciabatta roll with low fat cheese slice and couple of olives for breakfast, lettuce, tomato, spring onion, hellmanns extra light mayo and the last of my turkey breast roast followed by a handful of strawberries and a WW yoghurt for lunch and I am going to try and have liver for tea but I am not too sure how to cook it - I usually coat it in flour and fry it with onions and have it with mash and peas but tonight I thought I would try it dry fried with onions, which I have softened in a little stock, with carrots, green beans and the last of my packet of mushy peas (they have lasted me since Monday - I have been having them instead of potatoes and they are much nicer IMO).

I went to Morrison's this morning for a change and got the best part of a week's shopping for £32, which may not seem like it to some of you, but that is a real saving for me as I usually spend nearer to £100:eek: .

Hope you are all enjoying the OS dieting. So far I have managed not to binge and am liking the food I am having, but it is still very much "one day at a time"

Once again thanks for all the ideas and motivation from all your posts.

    OK folks,

Confession, they say, is good for the soul...mine will be so shiny after this...I have been finding it so hard to motivate myself to go with watching what I eat and doing some meaningful exercise that I have just given up...even worse have started baking cakes again and eating them...not sure what the problem is as I am unaware of any extra stress..just seem totally incapable of controlling what I eat...ate have a victoria sponge in an hour the other day and would have eaten more if it were there.

Feel as if I have put on a stone rather than lost any weight...ready to burst into tears at the thought....double chin is now treble and spare tyre is heading for lorry size.

Hoping that confession will do the trick...if anyone is nice to me on the subject will probably collapse, so positive vibes please!!
