Good Luck with your lunch Chloebelle :T
Thanks for all your kind comments about the tadpoles. I don't really know why they get on so wellI thought it was because they are SO close in age, but then I have a friend who has the same gap and her's hate each other. I think their characters complement each other so that helps.
Up until they were 5 we lived in a One Bed Cottage. Both Tadpoles were put in the same bed the night Tadpole 2 was born and stayed together in the same bed until they were 6 and 7 ! Even though , by then they had a bed and a room of their own!
What always amuses me is that other parents seem to strive for their tadpoles to get on, You would think it would be encouraged, but the school did their utmost to stop it. They saw it as a real problem. The Tadpoles would always choose to sit next to each other in class, choose each other when they had to pick partners and sit next to each other at lunch. The school "Banned" them from doing it. They said they had to become independant from each other  It's ridiculos as they are VERY independant and have LOADS of friends of their own. H said it wasn't fare as it wasn't her fault that her best friend just happened to be her brother too
I keep being told that it wont last and they'll hate each other when they are teenagers, but sometimes I think that's wishful thinking from jelous parents who's tadpoles don't get on

Hi Newlywed
what do you do with your pork loins??
I bought some the other day (as cheap of course) and was going to chuck them in the slowcooker with onions, carrots and spuds maybe some hebs etc.
Is that the kind of thing you do?? Do you brown them off first??
Thanks for your tips!!
I get mine from aldi. The last one I chopped up and dry fried and then added to casserole. Was going to chop this into chop pieces but couldn't be bothered
Pork chops I did in the SC with some sauce and didn't brown just stayed a bit pink but were cooked. I didn't brown this one.
So it went in the slow cooker - with a packet of value chopped veg and a pint of gravy!!
This one was a smoked pork joint thoughand said to wrap in foil to cook so it's wrapped in foil and plonked on top of the veg and gravy in the slow cooker and we shall see!!!

Okay, next time I've got spinach, watercress and peanute butter all in the house at the same time I'll give it a whirl. I'll eat anything.
And its rubbish about the kids hating each other by the time their teenagers, I agree.... the others parents are envious of you.
My two were always scaubbling about cars, playstations, biscuits, etc as nippers but a couple of years ago they became inseparable. (or thick as thieves as OH puts it. )AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Mine have always been very close.. the oldest 2 are now 16 and 13 and they are still the best of friends as well as siblings. DS1 takes DD1 out with him sometimes which is nice.. he won't even let his friends JOKE about fancying her lol.. though we know some boys are only his friends so they can come round and see her.. they play PS2 games together, chat on MSN.. madness as they are usually both in the house at the time and could talk to each other in words! lol
My 2 sisters HATED each other when they were growing up.. they are now 24 and 20 and getting on really well.. they even have conversations with each other now!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi All,
Frogga, my two are only 18 months apart and have always been best of friends. They still are even though they are 21 and 23 now and always give each other hugs and spend time together when DD comes home from London where she works. DS has just asked DD to be a bridesmaid at the wedding in November.
I've had a fairly good day foodwise so far and also done about an hours walking visiting the library etc.
Breakfast (sitting in the sun on the patio!) - fruit and fibre mixed with muesli with skimmed milk and raisins.
We ate breakfast quite late so lunch was just an icecream and a milky coffee later.
Dinner - I have planned chicken breasts cut in pieces and cooked with rice, mushrooms and mixed vegetables.
Snacks - banana and a couple of Clementines
The cross stitch conversation is making me want to dig out all my old stuff but I haven't brought any with me. I did quite a lot years ago and also made several patchwork quilts and most of my own clothes. I (re)taught DD how to knit over the holidays and kept picking it up and doing a few rows. I love knitting baby clothes but haven't done since my two were babies which is obviously 20 odd years ago.
At the moment I do a lot of letter writing and some watercolour painting but feel the sewing bug creeping up on me. I did make a couple of fabric bags for life in October and the one I made myself is used constantly. I made it from a Liberty print which always attracts comment.
Have a great afternoon, everyone.
