Sorry - you did ask though :p

I don't do so much of the bead and wire stuff - don't make my own beads or anything either - and couldn't find anywhere in UK that sold wool ready threaded with beads for beaded knitting and crochet so didn't bother with that either ;)

I like just thread and beads (and then clasps and bits to finish off) - feels like you're making summat out of virtually nuthin :D

Newlywed what have you done! I'm going to have to see how many of those books I can get from my library cos I can't buy them all. Lucky I didn't see that page before christmas or would have got nothing but beading books :rotfl:

So far today I've had a bowl of honey nut cornflakes. Going to have some more of my brocolli and stilton soup for lunch. Need to go and have a shower and get dressed first tho, been sitting around in my slippers and dressing gown all morning :o

MrsM - I have to agree (again). Gerard Butler is much better when hes not all clean shaven. He is droll worthy as Phantom of the Opera tho.
    I'm through accepting limits
    'Cuz someone says they're so
    Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!
  • Hold on............. I've got phantom of the opera, OH bought it over christmas and I was too involved in my x- stitch to watch it with him. Gonna have to suggest a second viewing. :D

Just had for lunch Dry fried egg, a tin of tomatoes ( I've developed an addiction to them this past week) and a slice of toast. Oh and a handful of fruit and nuts.

Off to shout DS2 as he's finished his maths today, and pop on a dvd, eat and orange and then settle to my x-stitch.
Not leaving the house today, blowing a gale and rain lashing against the window. Think I'll light candles and make it snug. ;)

  • Hi all,

In preparation for my weight loss campaign starting feb am going to attempt to cook an old style meal right now! I ve never really cooked properly in my life so am actually quite nervous! I know thats sounds ridiculous, its only food but I just feel so woefully unprepared!

Will give it a go and hopefully the results will be an edible lunch! If not, its out to the freezer for a birdseye chicken pie  .
    Total debt £21,000

    Hi Newlywed

what do you do with your pork loins??

I bought some the other day (as cheap of course) and was going to chuck them in the slowcooker with onions, carrots and spuds maybe some hebs etc.

Is that the kind of thing you do?? Do you brown them off first??

    Thanks for your tips!!
