Morning all. Feeling a bit
today. OH is being lovely though and giving me lots of hugs.
Breakfast today was erm .... banana and half a pack of fig rolls
Nevermind. Lunch is pasta and some stuff from the fridge - roasted peppers, olives, chopped ham and sweetcorn.
Tea is basque chicken casserole in the slow cookerMmm, newlywed, nutella. (are you really newly wed? If so, congratulations!)
I was newlywed when I joined here - but that was over a year ago nowObviously wasn't thinking very far ahead when I chose my user name
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Morning everyone... quite a naughty weekend for me - quite a bit of walking but also quite a lot of nice things!
Friday: Didn't eat dinner until 11pm due to HIDEOUS traffic jam. 3 small glasses of rose!
Saturday: healthy food all day, then 2 slices of Dominos pizza at midnight and several large G&T's. And a bottle of Magners (!)
Sunday: pineapple breakfast, roast dinner for lunch, apple strudel (small) with low fat custard, few nachos for dinner. 1 JD & diet coke.
It's really the weekend's when we're at our parents that I go to pot!!! I tried drinking just soft drinks but was having a lovely evening and the urge for gin got me. Am really REALLY going to have to think of ways to minimise damage over Christmas.
Today:
Breakfast: oaty strawberry cereal w/ semi skimmed, green tea. Free cup of latte on way to work (I do love free!)
Lunch: HM Soup, harvest grain roll, few cashews and raisins
Dinner: HM Bolognaise w/ very lean mince and wholewheat pasta (made this morning, yum)

Morning ladies :hello:
Poorly computer at home so couldn't get on last night.
Saturday night I was rubbish.....peanut butter sandwiches and chocolate were involved
Yesterday - we went out for the day, weather was awful but we were really lucky as every where we went the rain stopped while we were there :j I wasn't tooooo bad.....I'd had a boiled egg and soldiers before I left home, a cheese and chutney sandwich for lunch, a piece of shortbread mid afternoon - I chose it over cake:D !
We had planned to have a meal out but neither of us were hungry - OH had had the biggest piece of lemon cake I've ever seen in my life so I'm not suprised he was stuffed!
We had leek and gruyere flan (asda) with half a jacket each and some sprouts then I was naughty and had plum and blackberry crumble with cream - oops:o I didn't really enjoy it and felt uncomfortable all night  so just had my horlicks and went to bed. Other than that it was a nice day out, I wore my new coat and was snuggly warm all day!
Today - back to work, soaked oats, sultanas and soya milk for brekkie, just had a banana and the last muffin, salad with pasta and 3bean salad for lunch, not sure for tea.....I've got a doctors appointment after work so it depends what time I get home, I've got pots in so I'm sure to find something healthy!!
Hopefully OH will have fixed the 'puter when I get home so I'll see you later ladies :A0 -
Hi everyone. Feeling motivated again. I haven't been good lately but I haven't gained any weight so I'm still plugging away at it. Baby still having far too much milk and not enough solids as he's been full of cold for 3 weeks. So I'm constantly ravenous to try to keep up with the milk supply for a 9 month old who is picking at his meals...
MIL has lost a stone and a half lately and she's looking very well. She has a load of sliimming world mags in the house that I was looking at over the weekend. When I saw pics of people 'before and after' losing the weight I felt quite optimistic. There's still a thin girl under all this...I remember!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Okay... here I am again. I keep saying that I will have to start again and I really do. I went out and bought some scales (I have never previously owned scales). I think that if I post my weight here I will be more encouraged to get it down. You see I had been doing weight watchers from January and had lost four and a half stones until August when I went on holiday and never really got back on properly. The past 2 months when I split from my ex have been the worst diet-wise and so, even though it's not exactly the best time what with Christmas coming up (please don't remind me how many days it is!). I have put back on half of the weight that I had lost and I don't want to end up back where I started.
I am (deep breath here) 13st 12lbs. I need to loose 2st 11lbs to get to a healthy weight for my height!
Wow. That wasn't so hard. I am going to weigh every monday morning so we'll see how I do!
Today I haven't eaten anything yet (I know, how terrible). I was at a funeral and I am going to have a (if you are sensitive in anyway, please look away now) ww ready meal of seared chicken breast and chunky chips and I am adding more vegetables since I'm a greedy !!!!!!. I just wanted to get a quick start and everything I have in the house seems to be unhealthy leftovers from my days with the ex!
Good luck all and thanks for letting me bend your ears

Afternoon all,
Not doing the walking bit I promised Frogga ( sorry pet) so have decided that I will only sit down during the day when I am on here...night time is for knitting while I watch tv but perpetual motion apart from that.Seem to be moving in right direction ( maybe I shouldn't say that) as have been sticking reasonably to healthy eating plan for last couple of days.
To-day I have eaten:
Breakfast....porridge with raisins and dried apricots, honey and milk, water
Lunch.....Bought chicken and stuffing sandwich and cappucino...OH had nothing to eat before we went out and was hungry, told him that in future he should bring a sandwich to eat in car and we will just treat ourselves to coffee!
Dinner...will be ham, cabbage, turnip and mash, yogurt and fruit for pudding.
Keep up the good work all

Hello! Can't believe that I have never actually posted on this thread when the majority of my posts seem to be on the OS board! Anyway, hello all.
I'm sat with the back of an envelope, a pen and a mental block, trying to plan the weeks meals as we were away for the weekend. Too much butter and oil seem to be seeping into my diet and my thighs are growing to match!
I'm having a mental block. Was going to make eggs florentine and toast and then realised I have NEVER had a nice low fat cheese sauce and the toast always tastes better with butter. I've crossed it off the list and am back at square one!0 -
 evening everybody!:hello:
tummy been playing up today - I thought it was the baked beans I had for lunch but they dont usually bother me too much but after eating HM veggie lasagne, jacket spud and salad it played up again - there was some butterbeans in the lasagne so maybe it was them?dunno but I took a tablet, had some peppermint capsules and it feels better now.
B - porridge and 1 slice wholemeal toast
L - beans on toast
piece of lemon drizzle cake(HM)
D - HM veggie lasagne, salad, small jacket spud
also had a few grapes( about half a dozen:D ) I can manage my 5 a day without fruit!;)
After working the last 3 days - 31 hours - I've now got 2 days off:j so it should be easier to watch what I'm eating.
Hope you're all well!
see you in the morning!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Evening all !
Welcome JoeyEmmaI have made successful low fat cheese sauce using milk ( UHT skimmed or semi seems to work best oddly enough ! ) thickened with cornflour ( you'll need to make it into a paste with a little cold milk first ) and then parmesan or other strong cheese and seasoning/mustard to taste added. If the toast tastes better with butter then keep using it - just less toast and less butter ! Eggs florentine is delicious and healthy, don't give up on it !
Frogga, hope you had a good time decorating ! Don't worry, I might crave meat sometimes but I would never contemplate eating Les grenouilles Jambes
MrsM - thats a good idea re the clothing - I don't have a huge amount of clothing but what I've started doing is if I want to buy something new I have to get rid of at least one of its counterparts either by recycling or giving to charity shops ! I have to admit it was mostly ham that lured me back to the world of meatarians - I do love all kinds of nice ham !
Welcome back Gingham and Freyasmum - you CAN do it ! GR, not gaining weight is good and as I believe Frogga has said before, you just have to think about looking after yourself so you can look after the baby foremostlyfreyasmum, some of those " leftovers " may not be as unhealthy as you think if paired with other things - post 'em up and we'll see if we can give you some ideas for balancing them out.
bobba - I wouldn't worry much about your trip down " Gin Lane " this weekend( at least you didn't get " drunk for a penny and dead drunk for twopence " !
) you're back on track now and your menu for today sounds yummy.
rockie - hope your OH fixes the 'puter, life with out MSE, eek !
marie, can't blame you for not wanting to go walkies if the weather's manky - but keeping active indoors is a good subsitute. When you do go, do you usually go at a particular time so we can encourage you ?
Newlywed, have an extra ((hug )) sorry its not as good as your OH's but eh its the thought that counts !
taplady, woops, snuck in whilst I was posting ! :hello:
Not the world's best day, not the world's worst. Work morning FROM HELL. No chance at all to eat or drink. Managed to get my bum out the door afterwards for some brisk walking to/around the shops - had to go spotlight hunting as all mine in the kitchen have now blown. First meal of the day was at 2pm  2 crumpets, 3 big celery stalks, apple juice and a tiny piece of cheese. Lots of water and then a nap. Have just done some whizzing back and forth to the laundry and will do some housework before bed tonight. Supper will be cheese on toast again as I still have a bit of anathema towards cooking atm - and a big salad - lettuce, cress, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, carrot, celery, apple, maybe sweetcorn if I feel like opening the tin !
So, I feel ok about today, could have done worse. Have decided that come Dec 21st which is when I observe the midwinter festivities that I will buy scales and weigh myself. ( If I find I'm getting stressed about weighing again then I will naturally discontinue ) Can't think of a better way or time to affirm out with the old, in with the new !" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0
