Blimey where is everyone today?
Well, just had a bath and put my pj's on and now going to veg out infront of last night's casualty and xfactor :j
Have been helping Mr Frog board out the loft. There is SO much stuff up there but tadpoles are being very good not insisting on holding on to stuff that is literally "rubbish"! I know it isn't very O/S but all the stuff we don't want is going in the bin. I know we could put old toys et.c on a car boot and make some pennys , but I can't face car booting. You always end up bringing a load back , after hours of getting cold and wet and people knocking you down when you've only asked 50p in the first place! The charity shops around here are REALLY picky. I have offered stuff before but they just turn their noses up. Also the local school and playgroups didn't want toys when I offered before so the bin it is. I just want rid of it all. Sorry.:o
Right, hope you all had a good day xxxxxxxxxxxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Heh. Well I've had a low lying " something " all week more or less, one of those bugs that never quite comes out properly. I do feel rough during/after work in both jobs sometimes anyway. Nature of the beast
I stopped being veggie because I was having a conflict over eating meat sometimes - sometimes I would crave it - and it just removed the stress of having mental battles over it all. Also now I can afford good meat - I'm generally quite picky and go for locally sourced stuff, organic/free range whenever possible ( I freely admit I eat the odd bit of spam/corned beef occasionally ) I think I mentioned this before but when I was a kid I loathed meat and fish ( and quite a lot of cooked veg actually ! ), hated the texture/taste/smell of most of it, couldn't even stay in the house if fish was cooked. There was tremendous pressure from my family to eat meat, not eating meat was peculiar and considered nutritionally inadequate. In the end I did gradually start eating meat, in my mid twenties I went vege again for various reasons and that was for about 9 years. Although I started eating meat again about 4 years ago I didn't tell my mum until about 3 months ago !! I would still rather eat good vegetarian food than rubbish meat and often its less complicated to tell people that I don't know that I am veggie. I am a bit of a Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall in that I do believe in nose to tail eating and its better to eat small infrequent amounts of decent quality ethical meat than have bernard matthews slurry crud morning noon and night.
As for sosmix http://www.veggiestuff.com/acatalog/direct_foods_sosmix.html
unfortunately it does contain the dreaded hydrogenated vegetable fats ( although apparently the organic version doesn't, and also there is a reduced fat version ) , but as long as you don't live on the stuff and make your own additions in the way of chopped/grated veggies etc I think it's better than many other commercial veggie products.
Hope all the poorly feel a bit better. Frogga, hope the atticking went well.
Not the grandest of days. Didn't eat a lot and what I had hasn't been brilliant. Turning into sandwichmonster again but at least they're homemade, and I've been good with the fluid intake.
Have a good evening all" Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0 -
Evening Frogga and Kitty!
not long got in from work, Kitty - thanks for the link:T , hope you soon feel better! A friend at work has recommended a local organic shop for nut roasts etc which she buys for when her veggie sister comes to stay and says they are good so might give them a go.
Where is everyone? No MRSM todayhope she's ok!
Today I've had muesli, a meat-less roast, a piece of lemon drizzle cake:drool: and a cheese and tom toastie with HM mushroom soup. Have just had a low cal hot choccie.
Early start for me in the morning so will catch up tomorrow night
Night all xxxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Just realised how late it is...so that's why I'm tired.
Hope that everyone had a good day...weather here is carp, would love to get to garden to even mess around for half an hour but no chance for a few days at least I understand.
To-day I have eaten:
Breakfast....porridge with dried apricots, raisins, cranberries, honey and milk;
Lunch....5 dried dates and a raw carrot ( breakfast was very late!)
Dinner....ham, loads of cabbage, steamed spuds with butter, two pancakes with sugar and lemon.
Feel that I could eat something now, maybe a few nuts would do the trick.
Hugs to all

Wow its all very quiet on here today. The bf has been forgivven. He got a lift home and sneaked in at 2am in the end. Claims he did it cos he didn't want sis to drive when she was obviously tired  Either way peace (or what passes for it in this house!) has ben restored. Oh and frogga he lost a fiver.
Realy haven't haven't done a whole lot to day. Eatting wise i've been fairly good. Two weetabix for brekkie, couscous with mushrooms, pine nuts and pumpkin seeds for lunch and a very yummy beef pot roast for tea. Snacks have been a couple of choccy digestives and a handful of twiglets. I found a lovely sounding recipe for a stilton pate in the sainsburys magizine. Think i'll try that at christmas. I'll type the recipe up if anyone is interested. Definetley not healthy but very good treat for cheeseaholics like me out there!I'm through accepting limits'Cuz someone says they're soSome things I cannot changeBut till I try, I'll never know!0 -

Morning all
hope everyone had a good weekend!!!!
Just got back from having a bit of a walk and some fresh air..oooh and a bit of rain on the way back :rotfl: ..picked up a few bits n bobs..for next years pressies:eek: ..well they were too good to miss.. rather nice bottles... 1 with cherry, 1 with blackcurrant and 1 with apple in... liquers of courseand only 2.49euro each -about £1.80 ... so i think they will go in a box to start for next year...well this years hampers are getting out of control
Tried on some more clothes i haven't worn in years last night ..and they fit :T ..without doing the obligatory..cling to the stomach  ..so im taking them with me to the UK as we have a family "do" and thought i would dress up a little  .... and when hubby saw me in them last night.. he declared " hmm better pack some "smart" clothes for me too.... think we should go out more often!! -fancy going out for a meal for your birthday?"..... we used to go out all the time when we first met..but then again he lived in Germany and i was in nottinghamshire so i guess you do make more of an effort when you don't see each other all the time... you get married, and curling up on the sofa seems to take its place...... thing is now... im so tight fisted..i begrudge paying for someone else to cook something i know i can do myself :rotfl:
Anyway..hubby has agreed that as soon as a piece of clothing gets too big i should get rid, and treat myself to a new item..so i think i will be getting out the tape measure(when i can find it) and working out what german sizing i am now..then i can keep my out for cheap items that will tide me through..
Woohoo kittyscarlett...guess what? i used to be veggie and vegan too :rotfl: .. many moons ago..but the lure of a good old bacon buttie got me :rotfl:
Like you i still like a lot of vegetarian meals, but just pick and choose what i want, when i want it...Have to say that when i was vegan i felt as rough as a badgers bum.
Morning frogga..... i vaccuum my smoke detectors every week :A ..mind ours are so sensitive i have to be careful as steam sets the b*ggers off ..still better than them not working at all..
hope you got the loft sorted..and the decs up..
well folks its a short one but i want to get some stuff done....will pop back later
Hope everyone has a good day...not long to the xmas target now  .. hope everyone is doing well... keep up the good work folks-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
